Robert Geller Collaborating With Lululemon

Lululemon has tapped designer Robert Geller for a special collection that will be unveiled during New York Fashion Week: Men next month.
Called “Take the Moment,” the 12-piece capsule “explores the life of Robert Geller over a 96-hour period, built to move seamlessly from early morning workouts to urban life and international travel in comfort and style,” according to Lululemon.
Geller laughed when read the description, but acknowledged that the collection allows him to not only stretch his design wings but speaks to him personally. Geller is an avid soccer player and also does “quite a bit of yoga” and other exercises to ensure he stays healthy. “This whole world of wellness is very interesting and important to me,” he said. “My life is taking the kids to school, exercising an hour and then going to work.”
Ben Stubbington, Lululemon’s senior vice president of men’s design, worked with Geller to create the collection, which includes short-sleeve shirts, tanks and shorts with breathability functions and a full range of motion. The capsule also includes pants, collared shirts, half-zip hoodies and jackets.
The design of the pieces features Geller’s signature unique fabrics, linear taping and tie-dye washes. They will retail from $ 68 to $ 398 and can

How the Lo Lifes Feel About Ralph Lauren Collaborating With Palace

The Lo Lifes feel robbed.
The Brooklyn crew that used to steal, wear and sell Ralph Lauren in the Eighties is frustrated that the iconic American brand is working on a collection with Palace instead of them.
According to Willie Esco, who founded the Lo Life brand in 2016, which sells apparel online inspired by Ralph Lauren’s most iconic pieces, someone from Palace’s team reached out to get a blessing from members of the group. But most of the Lo Lifes, who skew older, weren’t familiar with Palace when it announced earlier this month via billboards in Tokyo and Instagram posts that it would be collaborating with the brand they’ve collected, the designer they’ve worshiped and the clothes they’ve helped popularize in urban communities for more than 30 years.
“Look at what Gucci did with Dapper Dan. Ralph should have did [sic] something like that with the Lo Lifes,” said Esco, referring to Gucci-backed efforts to reopen Daniel Day’s Harlem store and atelier, which shut down in 1992. “I wasn’t shocked by the decision. It will generate great sales, but it feels like a money grab from both sides and dilutes what they are all about.”

Under Armour, A$AP Rocky Said to Be Collaborating on Sneakers

Under Armour is preparing to step up its game in footwear.
According to reports, the Baltimore-based activewear giant is putting the final touches on a sneaker collection with popular rapper A$ AP Rocky.
An Under Armour spokeswoman wouldn’t tip her hand, saying only: “We are always talking to those with a passion to change the game, from athletes to creators to entrepreneurs.”
Under Armour has had struggles breaking into the competitive footwear market. Its most popular shoe has been a sneaker with Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry, but sales have moderated in recent months. Associating with the popular hip-hop artist would give the category a boost.
In March, A$ AP Rocky teamed with Guess for the second time on a capsule collection under the Guess Originals x A$ AP Rocky name that was based on the apparel brand’s archival pieces from the Eighties. He also has his own collection, Traplord, and has been featured in Dior Homme ads.
The rapper, whose given name is Rakim Mayers, has more than 858,000 followers on Instagram and the Twitter account for his A$ AP Mob moniker has nearly 450,000 followers.
A$ AP Rocky, who has been linked to such high-profile designers as Palm Angels’ Francesco Ragazzi, Dior Homme’s Kris Van Assche and Gucci’s Alessandro
