Grandma Accidentally Buys 6-Year-Old Granddaughter a NSFW Children’s Book: ‘She Was Mortified!’ Says Daughter

One grandmother was recently reminded to not judge a book by its cover when she bought one filled with dirty words for her 6-year-old granddaughter—which, luckily, had the whole family (except her) cracking up.

“My mother was at Barnes & Noble buying magazines for my dad, and she just saw this book and thought my daughter would like it,” Tiffany, 32, (who declined to give her last name) tells PEOPLE. “Emmersyn is 6 so she thought it would be something that would be easy for her to read.”

Tiffany’s mother, Geri, ended up buying If Animals Could Talk by Carla Butwin and Josh Cassidy, a seemingly innocuous book featuring a cartoon bear, alligator and blowfish on its cover, which could easily be mistaken for a traditional children’s book.

As they would soon find out, it was far from that.

Because Emmersyn usually likes to read My Little Pony and I SPY books, she didn’t pick out grandma’s book for her nightly reading until almost two weeks later on October 3. That’s when Emmersyn pointed out a word she didn’t quite understand to her dad, Cody, 32—and he immediately ran to Tiffany who was washing up after dinner.

“He handed it over to me and I was like, ‘Oh my god!’ We just started laughing,” Tiffany says. “I called my mom and asked her if she looked inside the book, and she said she hadn’t. I tried to read a few pages to her but I was laughing too hard. I finally regained my composure, and she was mortified!”

When she finished laughing, Tiffany took to Twitter to post about the incident, and her followers found it hilarious, as well. Her tweet has accumulated more than 200,000 likes and 73,000 retweets. As of October 5, the book’s listing on Amazon currently has it listed as “temporarily out of stock.”

Grandma Geri was “a little annoyed” when finding out her daughter posted the story to social media, but Tiffany assured her that it was all in good fun.

The couple plans to keep If Animals Could Talk around the house, they just have to make sure curious Emmersyn and her siblings—Carson, 3, and Harper, 1—don’t get their hands on it just yet.

“It’s a great coffee table book as long as you keep it away from kids, but I actually tweeted at the author and he said we should regift it to Emmersyn for her 18th birthday,” she says. “I think we will, and we’ll write a little excerpt about what happened. I’m not sure if I can actually keep it without losing it for 12 years, but I’m sure going to try!”

Actual Fake News: Anthony Scaramucci Was Accidentally Listed as Dead in the New Harvard Law Alumni Directory

Anthony, and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad 10 days.

Despite what the latest edition of the Harvard Law alumni directory may say, Anthony Scaramucci is still alive and well – and unemployed.

Amid news that Scaramucci had been removed as White House communications director just 10 days into the job, the Washington Post reports that the 53-year-old was accidentally listed as deceased in the new edition of the directory, which alumni started receiving last week.

According to the Post, Scaramucci – who graduated in 1989 –  has an asterisk next to his name meant to indicate he died in the time since the last edition was issued in 2011.

In a statement, a Harvard Law spokeswoman confirmed the mistake, saying, “Regrettably, there is an error in the Harvard Law School alumni directory in the listing for Anthony Scaramucci. We offer our sincere apologies to Mr. Scaramucci. The error will be corrected in subsequent editions.”

Scaramucci, a former New York financier and major Republican donor, accepted the communications director position and started the role on Friday, July 21.

On Monday, his removal was announced in a statement from the White House press secretary, who said, “Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director. Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

Multiple sources told the New York Times that President Donald Trump chose to remove Scaramucci at the request of the administration’s new chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly.

Missing College Student Found Dead in Submerged Car — Weeks After Accidentally Driving into River

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, confirmed this week that missing college student Toni Anderson — who vanished in January after sending a cryptic text to a friend — was found dead in a car that was pulled from the Missouri River last week.

Authorities say Anderson’s car had been submerged for weeks after she accidentally drove into the water soon after going missing early on Jan. 15.

Anderson, 20, left work at the Chrome club in Kansas City just after 4 a.m. that day and was on her way to meet up with a friend. But police say she never made it.

She was pulled over at 4:30 a.m. by a North Kansas City, Missouri, police officer — a separate jurisdiction from Kansas City — for a routine traffic stop for an illegal lane change, which resulted in a warning.

Police said she then stopped for gas, and her mother, Liz Anderson, previously told PEOPLE her daughter’s debit card was declined at 4:33 a.m.

At 4:42 a.m., Toni texted a friend, “OMG just got pulled over again.” It remains unclear if she was referring to the 4:30 traffic stop or a subsequent one. She wasn’t seen alive again.

A police spokeswoman tells PEOPLE detectives have found nothing to suggest foul play factored into Toni’s death. The spokeswoman declined to discuss the case in detail, citing the department’s ongoing investigation.

But mom Liz Anderson says authorities have assured her the college sophomore’s death was accidental — though it seems her daughter tried to escape the water.

“I am relieved that it was nothing more than a tragic accident,” Liz tells PEOPLE.

“There was no foul play; had no broken bones, and there was nothing on her body that would indicate any type of a struggle,” she says. “It is horrible. But they finally found her and now, we have a bit of closure.”

Investigators are waiting on autopsy results, which may provide them with additional information about how Toni died, the police spokeswoman says.

Toni’s mother says she probably became confused while driving in the dark that morning — steering her car onto a boat launch and into the frigid water.

Toni’s 2014 Ford Focus had a tracking device that sent out pings every eight or 10 seconds. On the morning of her disappearance, the tracking device sent out its final ping from a gas station not far from where her body was recovered.

“ believe she was confused and was turning around in a park, and that her GPS may have directed her to go the wrong way,” Liz says.

“If you look at the boat ramp she drove off of, it looks like a regular road — especially at night, when it’s dark,” she continues. “The police believe the ramp was icy and that she may have tried to stop but the car went into the water.”

There were signs that Toni tried to get out of her car once it began sinking.

“The police told me that her window was down and that her seat belt was off, so they figure she was trying to get out,” Liz says. “The current of the river was too strong and the cold water rushed in just too quick for her to escape. That’s what the police have determined.”

Toni, whose body has been cremated, will be laid to rest on Tuesday during a funeral scheduled for 11 a.m. inside the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas.

Toni studied marketing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and, in her spare time, reviewed music festivals, according to her family. Her mother has described her as “a beautiful, smart, intelligent, hard-working, kind and loving person.”

“We are all just a mess right now,” Liz tells PEOPLE after confirmation of Toni’s death, “but we are surviving and getting through. We miss her so much.”

My voice full of lust, I said “I am just trying to get home, and I don’t want trouble” “Oh really, no trouble, huh?” said one, leering at me and checking me out lasciviously from head to toe. “Yes, no trouble. My home is just down there, see?” I pointed vaguely behind them, all the while thinking of taking on all their cocks at once, being filled up. “You inviting us then?” piped up another, and they all laughed. “What could you mean?” I had no times for games. Go home or suck cock. Enough chat. “To come home with you, ho” said the first guy, biting his lip and raising his eyebrow. “Sure.
