Mom-to-Be Was Prepping for Sex Reveal Party, Friend Says — Then Husband Allegedly Murdered Her

Colorado mother Shanann Watts returned from a work trip early Monday excited for what was to come.

On Instagram, before she headed to Arizona for business, she had rattled off the highlights of a bustling month — and one of the things she was looking forward to was a sex reveal party for her third child.

Once she made it home to Frederick, however, Shanann met a grimmer fate: Authorities believe the 34-year-old was murdered by her husband, Chris Watts — likely in the house they shared with their young daughters, Bella and Celeste, who were also killed.

The trio were reported missing on Monday afternoon, about 12 hours after Shanann got back from Scottsdale. Her body was found Thursday and the remains of her girls are believed to have been recovered later that same day.

A friend told local TV station KDVR that this coming Saturday was the scheduled day for the 15-weeks-pregnant Shanann’s sex reveal party, to be held at the family’s home in Frederick.

“I’m completely at a loss for words,” Ashley Bell told the outlet.

Shanann’s younger brother, Frankie Rzucek, previously said she was going to give birth to a son named Nico.

While he initially blasted his brother-in-law — describing Chris, 33, as a “heartless psychopath” — on Friday he posted again about the killings, this time to grieve.

“I’ve never been so mad, sad, enraged, hurt heartbroken, lost, and shocked in all my life,” Rzucek wrote. “So forgive me for how I went about it. My sister and nieces meant the absolute world to me. They made me strive to be an even better man. I wanted them to be proud of their Uncle.”

Chris, who was arrested Wednesday night before the bodies of his wife and kids were found the next day, remains in custody without body and is accused of first-degree murder and three-counts of tampering with a body.

His attorney did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

‘Heartless Psychopath’ Husband Allegedly Killed His Pregnant Wife and Daughters: Victim’s Brother

The brother of a slain Colorado mom vented his grief on Facebook against the woman’s husband, who is suspected of killing the woman and the couple’s two young daughters.

“I just want 30 seconds alone with that heartless psychopath,” posted Frankie Rzucek, the brother of Shanann Watts, who was 15 weeks pregnant.

According to the post, Shanann was going to have a son and name him Niko.

“My blood is boiling and the pain and anger and sadness I have in my heart,” Rzucek wrote.

In another post, Rzucek also shared a photo of himself and his two nieces, Celeste, 3, and 4-year-old Bella, to whom he described in a separate post as “absolutely adorable, precious, harmless.”

According to a family friend, Shanann and Chris “were having marital problems and she was getting ready to leave him.”

Shanann, Celeste and Bella were reported missing on Monday. On Wednesday night, the Frederick Police Department, working with the FBI and Colorado Bureau of Investigation, arrested Chris Watts, who had given multiple media interviews pleading for their safe return.

He has been charged with three counts of murder in the first degree and three counts of tampering with physical evidence, according to court records.

Multiple outlets, citing police sources, have reported the husband confessed, but police have not confirmed or denied such reports.

It was not immediately clear if Chris Watts has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

The body of Shanann was found on Thursday, police said at a press conference, though no cause of death was revealed.

The bodies of the children have not been found, but Colorado Bureau of Investigation director John Camper said at the press conference, “We have strong reason to believe that we know where the bodies of the children are and recovery efforts are in process on that.”

PEOPLE has not been able to reach Shanann’s family, but CBS Denver reported the family said in a statement, “It is with deep hurt, confusion and anger to confirm our beautiful cousin Shanann Watts, her unborn child, and her two angelic daughters, Bella (4), Celeste (3) were viciously murdered by husband Chris Watts; who confessed to the killings. Please keep Shanann’s parents and brother in your prayers.”

Shanann’s family has launched a fundraiser page on Facebook to help with expenses for services.

Former Special Education Teacher Allegedly Caught with Victim While Awaiting Sex Assault Trial

A former special education teacher in Connecticut who is awaiting trial for allegedly having sex with two students is in more trouble after authorities say that she was recently caught with one of her alleged victims in her car, PEOPLE confirms.

Laura Ramos, 32, was charged last year with two counts of second-degree sexual assault after police claim she admitted to having sex with one of her 18-year-old special education students.

She was later hit with an additional sexual assault charge after police said that she allegedly had sexual contact with another student.

As she awaited trial, Ramos was told not to have contact with her alleged victims and was freed on $ 50,000 bond.

Instead, according to police, Ramos has continued to have contact with one of her former students. Police say she was pulled over in late in June a beachside community in Connecticut where she was found to be driving with one of the alleged victims.

As a result, Ramos has been charged with violation of a protective order, according to court records viewed by PEOPLE.

The case against her began last year after the principal of Central High School in Bridgeport, where she taught, called police on June 9, 2017. According to the police report obtained by PEOPLE at the time, another teacher reported that a student had told him Ramos was allegedly having sex with one of her special education students.

According to this teacher, the student claimed that Ramos had been texting him about “her guy,” who didn’t want to have sex anymore and whom this student believed to be the victim.

This student said the victim was often seen with Ramos — “making eyes at each other, like flirting” — according to the Connecticut Post.

Ramos initially denied the allegations when questioned by police on June 12 but, in a later interview, allegedly admitted to having sex with one of her students from December to April, usually in her car, according to the paper.

At the time, Ramos resigned from her job “in lieu of … termination proceedings,” according to local TV station WVIT.

Prosecutors are seeking to revoke Ramos’ bond and remand her to prison while she awaits trial. A hearing will be held on Friday.

Ramos’ attorney, Edward Gavin, did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Thursday, but he told the Post, “Laura Ramos has faithfully attended every court appearance and will continue to do so. We will address the motion at the hearing.”

If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.

Wash. Teen Was Lured into Woods for Camping Trip Before Friend Allegedly Raped, Killed Him

The Washington 16-year-old who police allege was raped and beaten to death by his childhood friend and the friend’s brother was lured into the woods on the premise of a camping trip and then assaulted for nearly 45 minutes, according to charging documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has charged Jonathon Adamson, 21, and his 16-year-old brother Benito Marquez with first-degree rape and murder in the death of Benjamin Eastman, who was last seen alive on June 23 before his body was found on June 28 on a remote parcel of land owned by Marquez’s relative.

According to the charging documents, Marquez, who is being charged as an adult, was a childhood friend of Ben’s. He and his brother allegedly lured Ben into the woods for a camping trip on June 24, but then knocked him to the ground and assaulted him for nearly 45 minutes.

The charging documents allege Adamson told police he and Marquez sexually assaulted Ben with a stick while he was still alive.

Before burying Ben, the brothers allegedly beat him in the head with a rock to ensure he was dead.

The brothers are also both charged with tampering with physical evidence and unlawful disposal of remains and are currently being held on $ 10 million bail. Information about whether they have entered a plea or retained attorneys was not immediately available.

Victim’s Father: ‘My Son Is Loved’

Ben lived with his father in Randle, and his father, Benjamin Eastman, sat in the front row Monday during the suspect’s court appearance, reports

“I wanted them to look at me, I wanted to look them in the eye,” the father told the outlet.

Ben’s father told the outlet that Ben was a joyful, happy teenager, and the two enjoyed camping, fishing and dirt biking together.

Ben’s father said there are “evil people out there. I don’t know what makes them tick. I don’t want to know. I’m loved, and my son was loved and that’s all I’m about.”

According to local station KIRO7, hundreds gathered for a vigil at the White Pass Junior and Senior High School in Randle. Principal Chris Schumaker said it was fitting the service began in the gym because Ben loved sports so much and was always in the gym.

Ben and his family were fans of the Miami Dolphins, and during the vigil, the family released aqua and orange balloons representing the Dolphins team colors, the outlet reports.

50 Years After Bill Cosby Allegedly Drugged Her, One Accuser Says, ‘We All Spoke Truth to Power’

After Bill Cosby’s conviction Thursday for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004, many of his other accusers are feeling vindicated.

For Kristina Ruehli, who alleges Cosby drugged and tried to sexually assault her in 1965, the conviction represents a watershed moment for women’s rights.

“We’ve got the snowball rolling but this is not the end.  It’s still moving,” Ruehli tells PEOPLE. “But it’s going be an avalanche. I think it will really pave the way in the future for women. We all spoke truth to power.”

On Thursday, Montgomery County jurors deliberated for about 14 hours over two days before handing down the guilty verdict. Afterward, Cosby was freed on bond by the judge.

Cosby was convicted on three charges, each of which carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years: aggravated indecent assault: penetration with lack of consent; penetration while unconscious; and penetration after administrating an intoxicant.

State law could allow a maximum possible penalty of 10 years per charge — or 30 years total, but the judge will decide whether Cosby will serve his terms concurrently or consecutively.

Cosby assaulted Constand, 45, in his Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, mansion in January 2004.

Cosby, who did not testify during his trial, denies similar allegations from more than 60 women.

Ruehli was Jane Doe Number 12 in Andrea Constand’s 2005 civil lawsuit against Cosby – which Constand settled in 2006. Ruehli claims she was drugged by Cosby in December 1965 while she was a secretary at his talent agency.

In 2015, Reuhli filed a defamation lawsuit against  Cosby, claiming that public comments made about her by Cosby’s team after she and other women came forward were defamatory. After a judge denied Cosby’s motion to dismiss her case in 2016, Ruehli, feeling vindicated, withdrew her case.

“I put my money where my mouth was – I spent nearly $ 100,000 on lawyers – to prove that I was telling the truth … about this monster,” Ruehli previously told PEOPLE. “I have stood up for myself. Now it’s time to go back to my happy life, lose some weight and weed my garden.”

Ruehli says she has put the past behind her and is feeling peaceful.

“I’m feeling a renewed faith in the justice system,” she tells PEOPLE. “I feel this is sort of confirmation in the belief systems I was taught all my life.”

She adds, “Something in my being that always believed in right from wrong, and now I can continue to believe that given sunlight, that there is justice.”

Mich. Parents Allegedly Refused Medical Treatment for Newborn Who Died: ‘God Makes No Mistakes’

A Michigan couple is charged with involuntary manslaughter after allegedly refusing the advice of a midwife that they seek medical treatment for their newborn daughter, who later died, PEOPLE confirms.

Joshua Barry Piland, 36, and his 30-year-old wife, Rachel Joy Piland, were charged on Sept. 20, more than six months after the Feb. 9 death of their daughter, Abigail, who was found dead at their home in Lansing, Michigan.

According to police testimony in court last week, the couple’s midwife had warned Rachel about the girl’s health the day after she was born and recommended Rachel seek medical attention, the Lansing State Journal reports.

“Rachel declined to seek any medical treatment for Abigail, stating, ‘God makes no mistakes,’ ” Lansing police detective Peter Scaccia testified, according to the State Journal. “She indicated to the midwife that the baby was fine.”

According to Scaccia, Rachel then canceled a follow-up appointment with the midwife.

Two days later, Abigail died from unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia and kernicterus, conditions associated with jaundice, the State Journal reports.

Scaccia testified that the baby would have most likely survived had she received prompt treatment.

Rachel’s mother had noticed that the baby was coughing up blood and her color was off, the State Journal reports. But, Scaccia testified, Rachel “went to listen to sermons” after she told her mother about the midwife’s concerns.

Rachel’s mother urged her daughter to call the police after she saw blood coming from Aibigal’s nose, but Rachel allegedly refused, Scaccia said.

Later that morning, the baby was found dead in her bouncy seat and Joshua allegedly attempted mouth-to-mouth resuscitation but had no success.

Joshua allegedly did not want to try CPR on his daughter because he had only performed it on adults, according to the State Journal.

“They then brought Abigail upstairs to pray for her,” Scaccia testified. “Joshua continued to massage Abigail, attempting to get her good air. Both Josh and reached out to friends and fellow church members to come to their home and pray for Abigail’s resurrection but never called the police.”

Police learned of the death after Rachel’s brother contacted them from California.

• PEOPLE’s special edition True Crime Stories: 35 Real Cases That Inspired the Show Law & Order is on sale now.

At the scene, police “went upstairs and found a baby that had passed away and three other people praying for it,” Scaccia testified.

Neither Joshua nor Rachel has entered a plea. At a hearing last week, Rachel requested a court-appointed attorney but has not yet received one. Joshua has not retained an attorney.

The couple — who are allegedly involved with Faith Tech Ministries, a non-denominational Christian religious group with beliefs that include a “strong message in the area of divine healing” — was released from jail after posting $ 75,000 bond.

Their next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 5.

Messages left with the Pilands as well as with Faith Tech Ministries, Lansing police and the district attorney’s office were not immediately returned on Friday.

Beyoncé’s Mom Tina Boogies at Friend’s Party After Obama Allegedly Spills the Beans on the Twins’ Sex

Whether Tina Knowles Lawson is a grandmother to twins yet is a mystery, but one thing’s for sure: She sure can bust a move.

The mother of Beyoncé and her husband of two years Richard Lawson enjoyed a night out Friday, donning ’70s duds for a disco-themed bash to celebrate friend A.C. Collins’ birthday. And the couple had no problem getting down on the dance floor.

“When your favorite song of all times comes on ‘Drifting on a memory There’s no place i’d rather be than with you ! Yeah Than loving You,’ ” Knowles Lawson, 63, captioned a video of the twosome, quoting lyrics from The Isley Brothers‘ 1975 hit “For the Love of You.”

The couple’s dance-filled evening came a day after former president Barack Obama gave a video speech to honor Jay Z, who became the first-ever hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday.

“Jay and I are also fools for our daughters, although he’s going to have me beat once those twins show up,” he said, leading many to believe the latter part of the sentiment means Jay Z’s twins on the way with Beyoncé are both girls.

Added Obama jokingly of his friend, who also shares 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with the “Formation” songstress, “And let’s face it, we both have wives who are significantly more popular than we are.”

Baltimore Child Care Worker Allegedly Caught on ‘Disturbing’ Video Fatally Abusing an 8-Month-Old

A Baltimore woman has been charged with murder for allegedly killing an 8-month old baby girl who was left in her care at a child care center, PEOPLE confirms.

On Tuesday, Reese Bowman was found unresponsive in her crib at a center in Baltimore, police said in a news release. According to local reports, the facility is Rocket Tiers Learning Center, which has the same approximate address as where investigators say Reese was abused.

The girl appeared to not be breathing, and when Baltimore police arrived, employee Leah Walden said she had fed Reese and put her down for a nap. Authorities reportedly performed CPR on Reese and she was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Surveillance footage obtained by police the following day appeared to contradict Walden’s story, CBS Baltimore reports:

During the center’s nap time, the 23-year-old was filmed allegedly covering the baby’s head with multiple blankets and violently swinging her around the room by her arms and legs.

“Watching that video is disturbing,” Baltimore Police Criminal Investigations Chief Stanley Brandford told the Baltimore Sun. “Reese Bowman, in my opinion, was tortured.”

“At this time, a motive is unknown, but it appears that the baby was awake at the time of the assault,” police said in the news release.

According to CBS Baltimore, there are moments in the video footage where Walden walks off camera with Reese. Baltimore police said one “can only assume” what the 23-year-old did with the child out of view of the camera.

“Just evil,” Chief Brandford told told CBS Baltimore. “What motive could you possibly have to treat a baby that way?”

Walden is charged with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, second-degree child abuse and reckless endangerment, PEOPLE confirms.

She remains in custody without bond, according to CBS Baltimore. It is unclear at this time whether she has an attorney or if she has entered a plea.

Reese’s family (who could not be reached for comment on Monday) shared their grief in a statement to the Sun.

“Our hearts are broken,” they said. “No family should ever have to experience the loss of a child under any circumstances. We await further information from the unfolding investigation.”

The Sun reports that Walden worked at the child care center for two and a half years and on Rocket Tiers’ website described her work as “rewarding.”

“I have one year of professional childcare experience and six years of part-time babysitting,” her profile reads. “I love seeing the children develop new skills like sitting up, crawling and walking. The best part of being an infant teacher is caring for babies who love me as much as I love them.”

On Wednesday, Rocket Tiers sent an email to parents announcing Reese’s death, the Sun reports. It read, in part, “At this time, it does not appear that there has been any wrongdoing at this point on RTLC. We send our deepest thoughts and condolences to the family and the RTLC community.”

Rocket Tiers did not immediately return a call for comment on Monday.

According to the Sun, the center said it would close to “ensure that our teachers and staff receive grief counseling and that the investigation isn’t disrupted in any way.”

It will reopen “when the time is appropriate.”

Travis Scott Arrested for Allegedly Inciting Riot at Arkansas Concert

Travis Scott‘s tour stop at the Walmart Ampitheatre in Rogers, Arkansas, allegedly got a bit too rowdy, leading cops to reportedly arrest the rapper following the show.

Keith Foster, Public Information Officer for the Rogers Police Department, confirmed to PEOPLE that Scott (né Jacques Webster) was arrested and charged with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a minor.

“During the concert, Webster encouraged people to rush the stage and bypass security protocols to ensure concert goer safety,” Foster said. “During the rush to the stage several people were injured, including an employee from the security company hired to help monitor and control the crowd, and a member of the police department. The injured subjects were treated at the AMP by members of the Rogers Fire Department and Mercy Medical.”

The 25-year-old rapper was reportedly released without bail around 11:30 p.m., according to TMZ. Scott will also have to appear for a court date in Arkansas, according to the outlet. Foster could not confirm the exact time that Scott was released but said that it “sounds like he was cited and would have to return for court.”

Pennsylvania Man Allegedly Used Homemade Gun to Kill His Ex-Girlfriend: ‘I Will Forever Hate You’

A Pennsylvania man allegedly became “obsessed” with his ex-girlfriend and fatally shot her last year with a homemade air gun, according to multiple reports.

Josef Raszler, 35, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with criminal homicide in the death of 46-year-old Stephanie Roof, PEOPLE confirms. Roof was found dead in the driveway of her home in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 13, the Morning Call reports.

Police claim Raszler used part of a metal projectile in the handmade gun to kill Roof more than a year after the mother of four broke off their relationship, according to the paper.

He allegedly used Internet tutorials to make the gun.

Raszler’s attorney was not immediately able to provide a comment to the Morning Call, and it was unclear if Raszler has entered a plea or remained in custody. PEOPLE could not immediately reach his lawyer.

Raszler and Roof broke up in the summer of 2015, but Raszler “was angry and not accepting of that breakup,” Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney Jim Martin alleged to Lehigh Valley Live.

Officials claim Raszler became fixated on Roof and sent her text messages — which she did not respond to — for months after their breakup.

“I swear it will catch up with you. It happens on his time … not ours,” he allegedly wrote in one message, according to Lehigh Valley Live. “I was a perfectly good person just trying to help and now my soul has holes I can’t mend.”

In October 2015, Raszler allegedly texted Roof, “I will forever hate you.”

He lived directly across the street from Roof and the two began dating in January 2015, Lehigh Valley Live reports.

Roof’s oldest daughter, Tricia Vanderford, told WFMZ that waiting seven months for the arrest was “excruciating” because she had long suspected Raszler to be her mother’s killer.

“Every single day to see him be happy,” she said, “knowing a huge part of our happiness has been gone.”

Woman Allegedly ‘Chained Like a Dog’ by Serial Killer Describes Terrifying Ordeal: ‘It Was Pitch Black’

When authorities announced in November they’d found a missing woman in a South Carolina storage container, they described her captivity in stark terms: She was kept “chained like a dog,” and the sheriff said, “This is the stuff you see in the movies.”

Now that rescued woman, Kala Brown, is describing the terror of her confinement.

In an upcoming two-part interview on Dr. Phil, her first since being free, Brown says she was kept nearly immobile by a short length of chain, no more than three feet, fastened around her neck.

“My neck was in one corner and my ankle was in another corner,” she tells host Dr. Phil McGraw in a new clip from the interview, which begins airing on Monday.

She says she was left handcuffed, chained and gagged by her accused abductor, Todd Kohlhepp, who investigators believe is a serial killer accused of murdering seven people. (It is unclear whether he has entered a plea.)

Brown says in the clip that the container where she was kept was not empty. “It was pitch black,” she says. “but he had a flashlight and he had a lot of shelving with, like, dried food and rations and stuff and lots of bottles of water.”

Brown and her boyfriend, who was later found dead on Kohlhepp’s property, went missing on Aug. 31. Brown was found on Nov. 3, and Kohlhepp was arrested soon after.

In her sit-down with McGraw, Brown shares “intense details” from her ordeal – as well as her resilience.

“No matter what he did to me,” she says, “he did not break me.”

15-Year-Old Allegedly Decapitated Missing Classmate in ‘Horrific, Horrific Murder’

Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino walked out the door of his house on the night of Nov. 18 – and was never seen alive again.

On Saturday, weeks after his disappearance, one of Lee’s classmates at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with allegedly murdering and decapitating the 16-year-old, PEOPLE confirms.

But a motive in the brutal slaying and the exact nature of the relationship between Lee and the 15-year-old suspect, Mathew Borges, remain unclear.

“This was a horrific, horrific murder,” Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said at a news conference on Saturday. “While it shook the community, we were completely and totally resolved to bring this matter to justice.”

Mathew allegedly stabbed and mutilated Lee’s body so severely that his autopsy took 11 hours, Blodgett told reporters.

Authorities have not said why Mathew allegedly killed and then decapitated the teen, though police claim Mathew confessed afterward. “A witness told investigators that Mathew told them he did something bad,’’ according to a police report obtained by the Boston Globe. “Mathew then told him that he stabbed a kid and cut his head off.’’

A woman walking her dog on Thursday discovered Lee’s body on a street near the Merrimack River, according to authorities. His head was found about 50 feet from his body, The Eagle Tribune reports.

On Monday, Mathew pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Lawrence District Court, Carrie Kimball Monahan, a spokeswoman for the district attorney, tells PEOPLE. His attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

“ was ordered held without bail,” Monahan says. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 10 for a probable cause hearing.

Mathew’s age and murder charge “automatically” mean he will be tried as an adult, Monahan says.

Authorities are unclear about how the two teens knew each other, she says. “We don’t know what type of relationship they had,” she says. “We don’t know if they were friends. We just know that they went to the same school.”

Lee’s family, whom PEOPLE could not immediately reach, reportedly said Mathew had only come to their house once.

On Nov. 18 — the day of Lee’s disappearance — the two teens left Lee’s home at about 5:40 p.m. and headed to the nearby Merrimack River, according to authorities.

Lee’s family later reported him missing when he failed to return home. They told reporters they’re upset because they feel police considered this a runaway case and failed to do everything they could to find him, The Boston Herald reports.

“I do want to ask a question, with all due respect, to the mayor, to the chief of police, to every police officer, detective, in our police department,’’ one relative told reporters, according to the Globe. “If it was their kid, would they have … waited two weeks to look for him?”

The family’s criticism was echoed by similar statements made recently by a Lawrence police officer to the Globe.

The Lawrence Police Department has not responded to these complaints, and it could not immediately be reached for comment.

Deadliest Catch’s Jake Harris Fighting for Life in ICU After He Was Beaten and Allegedly ‘Left for Dead’

Deadliest Catch cast member Jake Harris has been hospitalized after he was robbed and attacked, PEOPLE confirms.

On Saturday around 8 p.m. PT, officers at Everett Police Department in Washington state received a call from a passerby that a man, whom Deadliest Catch cast member Josh Harris identified as his younger brother on Facebook, was injured on the side of the road.

According to officer Aaron Snell, Harris got into a car with two or three unidentified people at nearby Quill Ceda Creek Casino. After entering the vehicle, an altercation broke out and Harris had personal property stolen. At some point during the evening, the vehicle stopped on the side of road and Harris exited.

After officers arrived, he was provided medical aid and medical staff determined that “he was alert, conscious, answering questions and breathing,” Snell tells PEOPLE.

Snell tells PEOPLE that Harris declined to be transported to the hospital and was taken home by an officer. Upon arriving home, residents at his house took him to the hospital where he was admitted to the ICU.

“I have some terrible news today. My brother was jumped last night and some individuals decided to beat him pretty good, which is a terrible, terrible thing,” Josh said in a Facebook live video. “I have located these people and talked with him — he’s in ICU right now. Some individuals beat him to the point where it cracked his skull from his forehead all the way back to where you would be balding as an individual,” he continued. “My brother is bleeding out of his brain currently.”

“They literally beat my brother, left him for dead, threw him out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the freeway,” Josh said in the video. “Luckily the people that were behind the vehicle that he got thrown out of ended up seeing my brother and called 911.”

“Please join us in wishing Jake Harris the best with his recovery,” Deadliest Catch posted on Facebook.

Snell tells PEOPLE that police are actively working this robbery investigation with Harris and his family.

Rumer Willis Slams Photographers For Allegedly Retouching Her Jawline In Vanity Fair Photos

Rumer Willis loves her jawline just the way it is.

After an outtake from a Vanity Fair photo shoot appeared online, Willis took to Instagram to express her disappointment over what she seems to think was a Photoshopping job gone wrong.

The 27-year-old actress wrote that the size of her jawline was reduced in the high-fashion spread, but photographers Mark Williams and Sara Hirakawa quickly responded to Willis’ claim, explaining that the photo was not retouched “to alter or modify anyone’s face.”

“The photographer Photoshopped my face to make my jaw smaller and I find it really offensive for anyone to try and change the way you look so drastically,” Willis captioned the photo on Instagram.

“I love the way I look and I won’t support anyone who would feel a need to change the way I look to make me beautiful. Whether or not they realize it, it is a form of bullying, which I won’t stand for,” she continued.

After Willis posted the image, the photographers issued a statement to The Cut to explain their editing choices, claiming that “there was never any intention … to alter her appearance.”

Read their response below:

The retouching that was done to the photograph was only done to resolve some distortion with using a wide angle lens for a group shot, and not to alter or modify anyone’s face. We used a wide angle lens, and it might’ve made Rumer’s chin look smaller from the higher angle that we shot the image. We did correct for the optics of the lens slightly as people’s heads get distorted through the wide angle lens. We certainly did not intend to change the way she naturally looks. Our intention was to capture the special bond between Rumer and her sisters.

It saddens us that Rumer feels the way she does about the image and hope she understands that there was never any intention with it to alter her appearance.

We should make clear that this image was an outtake and was not published in Vanity Fair or nor did they ever see it.

Regardless of the motivation behind the retouching, Willis, the eldest daughter of superstars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has been routinely criticized for her appearance from a young age. She’s been vocal about her battle with insecurity and the pressures of fame in the past, penning a powerful essay in Glamour after taking home the Mirror Ball trophy on “Dancing with the Stars” last year.

“When you grow up in the public eye the way that I did, everyone’s looking at you and waiting for you to do something crazy or say something wrong or have a meltdown,” she wrote. “I was constantly bullied because of my looks, so I struggled a lot with my body image.”

“After I finished [the show] I felt more beautiful than I had in my entire life … because of what I’d accomplished and worked so hard for,” she continued. “What it comes down to is this: We all need to stop bullying ourselves and being cruel to other women.”

Nick Gordon Sued For Allegedly Abusing And Stealing Money From Bobbi Kristina Brown

ATLANTA (AP) — A court-appointed representative of Bobbi Kristina Brown has filed a lawsuit against her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, claiming he took money from her and abused her physically and emotionally.

Bedilia Hargrove filed a lawsuit against Gordon Wednesday in Fulton County Superior Court. The complaint says Gordon routinely transferred large amounts of money from Brown’s accounts to his without Brown’s permission.

The complaint also accused Gordon of misrepresenting the nature of his relationship with Brown, being violent toward her and arguing with her before she was found face down in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta townhome.

Gordon is accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, unjust enrichment and conversion.

The suit seeks at least $ 10 million in damages. A call to Gordon’s attorney was not immediately returned.
