Amanda Wakeley RTW Spring 2019

Amanda Wakeley journeyed deeper into North Africa with this collection of safari suits and breezy dresses with patterns inspired by vintage ocelot prints, painted tiles and tapestries. During a walk-through at her flagship and showroom on Albemarle Street, Wakeley said she’s treating the seasons as a continuum and a series of layers, with themes that develop over the months and regular drops throughout the year.
This spring outing was packed with lots of snappy tailoring, including an olive safari suit and stone-colored suede safari jacket, which Wakeley paired with a long black belt. The ocelot pattern worked its way onto lightweight kimono tops and maxiskirts, while a long, kimono-style dress had long fringes on the hem. Languid jackets and wide-leg trousers came in olive or creamy satin.
Wakeley also showed off a new collection of sunglasses, jewelry and bags made from sheared kangaroo. She has been increasingly reaching out to her consumers, with lucrative QVC appearances and trunk shows at the store. She’s also planning a six-month pop-up at Bicester Village outside London.

Amanda Lear Would Do Anything Jean Paul Gaultier Asks

On and off the runway, the cast and crew of Jean Paul Gaultier’s upcoming revue “Fashion Freak Show” had turned out in full force for his smoking hot, in all senses, fall couture show. Actress and scriptwriter Tonie Marshall, the revue’s codirector, sat alongside former cabaret star and “queen of the night” Régine.
“I’d do anything Jean Paul asks,” said Amanda Lear, having done his previous revue in Berlin three years ago. “We’ve been talking about it for a while.” The singer and veteran model recently lent her voice to Edna Mode in the sequel to Disney’s animated movie “The Incredibles 2,” which was released in France earlier that day.
Visual artists Pierre Commoy and Gilles Blanchard, best known as Pierre et Gilles, were taking in the brouhaha as Naomi Campbell took her seat under the snap of a thousand smartphones — and no shortage of professional lenses either. “There are thousands of images today, and I love it. You get to step into a person’s universe,” said Blanchard.
The artists, whose contribution to the upcoming Folies Bergères production includes an image symbolizing the love between Gaultier and his late partner Francis Menuge, are exhibiting a series of works on the religious in

Amanda Seyfried And Thomas Sadoski Did The Whole Secret Eloping Thing

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski secretly eloped this weekend and if our fifth sense is correct, there’s a 30 percent chance they’re already married. Ugh, sorry “Mean Girls” fans, you’ll forgive us one day.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together, married in a private ceremony on March 12, after less than a year of dating. And by private we mean they ran off together and didn’t invite anybody to the wedding.

The “Newsroom” actor made the surprise announcement on Thursday night during a visit to “The Late Late Show with James Corden” ― if you’re gonna do it, do it big ― when the host caught a glance of his wedding ring.

“We eloped,” Sadoski announced. “We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing … We had a great day. It was perfect.”

According to Sadoski, the two took Seyfried’s beloved Australian Shepherd, Finn, along for the ride and wrote their own vows, describing the intimate ceremony as “beautiful.”

This nice man is going to be on @latelateshow tonight to talk about nice things!

Seyfried and Sadoski first met while working together on an off-Broadway production of “The Way We Get By” in 2015. However, they didn’t start dating until early 2016, as the actress had recently split from her ex-boyfriend of two years, Justin Long. Seyfried and Sadoski later reunited during filming of “The Last Word,” which hit theaters this month.

Amanda Seyfried Is Such A Low-Key Bride And We Love Her For It

Amanda Seyfried is gearing up for a big year in more ways than one. The actress is planning a wedding with fiancé Thomas Sadoski and the couple is expecting their first child together.

In her cover interview for Vogue Australia’s February issue, Seyfried said, “I’ve never been excited by anything more in my life. And ready.”

But one thing is for certain: the “Mean Girls” actress isn’t going to let the planning process turn her into some kind of over-the-top celebrity bridezilla.

“I don’t want to be the center of attention,” she told Vogue, according to E! Online. “I get to go to premieres and get dressed up all the time. I went to the Met Gala last year in a wedding gown designed by Riccardo Tisci; I’ve played a bride a billion times.”

And all these on-screen weddings, including “Mamma Mia,” “Les Mis” and “The Big Wedding,” have made her iffy on the whole traditional white dress thing.

“I don’t want a white dress! I’ve worn so many of them,” Seyfried told E! News in 2015 back when she was dating actor Justin Long. “You know what I mean? The fact is, that kind of stuff is less about the ceremony and more about the commitment.”

Voted and it feels so right #imwithher

Seyfried and Sadoski, who you may remember from HBO’s “The Newsroom,” first met while co-starring in the off-broadway play “The Way We Get By in 2015. They didn’t start dating until they reunited on the set of the movie “The Last Word,” which hits theaters in March.

Amanda Wakeley Pre-Fall 2017

Amanda Wakeley blended her signature fluid silhouettes with Japanese-inspired elements for her latest pre-collection. “I imagined a woman who has a French mother and a Japanese father, she lives in the West yet also has a longing for the East,” said Wakeley. “But let’s not get too carried away, this is pre-fall so it’s all about clothes you can wear now.”
Japanese influences were subtle, packaged as printed wrap dresses, crisp cotton shirts with kimono-inspired sleeves and tasseled belts wrapped around trousers, gowns and pencil skirts. A dramatic black and metallic red cloqué fabric featured on handbags, evening dresses and a lightweight, short-sleeve coat. “To me that is [Asia],” she said of a voluminous, A-line cloqué gown.
Repositioning her brand, primarily known for eveningwear, as a lifestyle label, Wakeley emphasized easy-to-wear separates: oversized cashmere knits with chiffon panels on the back, high-waisted striped trousers, leather joggers and a range of outerwear, including sporty shearling parka and a feminine black coat. Still, she couldn’t abandon her eveningwear core. Her signature lace and silk tulle cocktail dresses were intact. Highlights included a metallic embroidered tulle midi-dress and a bold lace, long-sleeve gown paired with a barely there corseted slip.
