Becca Kuffrin Will Meet with Ex-Fiancé Arie Luyedyk Jr. on The Bachelorette

Becca Kufrin and Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be coming face-to-face on this season of The Bachelorette.

On Monday evening, Bachelor Nation watched Kufrin begin her journey to find love on the ABC reality series, which came months after Luyendyk Jr. ended his engagement with the Minnesota native — on live television — for a second chance with Bachelor runner-up Lauren Burnham.

Although Kufrin and Luyendyk Jr. have each found love with someone else — she exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that she’s engaged to a contestant from the current Bachelorette season — she confirmed that they reunited for cameras.

“He will show up, yes,” Kufrin, 28, told Entertainment Tonight.

Download our Bachelorette bracket PDF now to play along with Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette, which premieres Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

“We do have a conversation and you’ll just have to see that unfold. At that point it wasn’t emotional, it was just two adults sitting down, wishing each other the best and talking through our experiences,” she shared.

According to Kufrin, their on-camera Bachelorette discussion was the last chat they’ve had since their raw and emotional split.

“I knew that would probably be the last time we had a conversation, and I wish him and Lauren the best,” she said.

Less than five months ago, Kufrin was engaged to Luyendyk Jr., 36, whom she quickly fell for on his season of The Bachelor. But shortly before the season premiere aired, the race car driver admitted he still had feelings for Burnham. By mid-January, Luyendyk Jr. ended things with Kufrin to go back to Burnham. (They got engaged on After the Final Rose in March.)

Following the breakup, “I went through the grieving process,” Kufrin told PEOPLE. “I was confused and angry and all the emotions you go through a heartbreak with.”

But when the notion that she could be the next Bachelorette was presented, Kufrin knew she had to seriously consider the offer.

“Yes, I fell in love and we were engaged,” she said of Luyendyk Jr. “But that ended. And I realized nothing since then changed. I still wanted to find my partner, and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me.”

Now blissfully engaged — the ring is “very beautiful,” she said — Kufrin can’t wait to show off her man to the rest of the world. “I’m so excited to start this season and for everyone to see everything that happened.”

The Bachelorette airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

Emily Maynard Johnson Admits She Regrets Daughter Ricki’s Appearances on The Bachelorette

Emily Maynard Johnson has her hands full as a mom of four, but there was a time in her life when she was just getting adjusted to new parenthood — and admittedly, she would do things a little differently if she could.

In a new interview, The Bachelorette alum opened up with PEOPLE’s Celeb Parents Get Real about how she regrets having daughter Ricki, now 12, make appearances on the show.

“I wish that I would’ve kept totally separate ,” says Maynard Johnson. “At the time, I thought, ‘This is it,’ and I never would’ve brought her into it had I not thought that.”

“So I wish that I maybe would’ve taken a step back,” adds the 31-year-old star. “Maybe sheltered her from that a little bit more.”

Since welcoming Ricki at the age of 19, Maynard Johnson has given birth to three sons with husband Tyler Johnson: newborn Gatlin Avery, 6 weeks, Gibson Kyle, 15 months, and Jennings Tyler, 2. But the former reality star admits it’s her daughter who still makes her the most emotional.

“Ricki is the one that makes me laugh the most she’s probably the one that makes me cry the most,” says Maynard Johnson. “Because I had her when I was 19 and we’ve really grown up together.”

She adds, “So to see her becoming a grown-up … I cried like a baby at her lower-school graduation. People thought somebody had died. I was sobbing, ugly crying — it was horrible.”

“And that is, sad to say, totally me,” she admits.

Why The Bachelorette Still Makes Chris Harrison ‘Cry Like a Baby’

Chris Harrison has watched people fall in and out of love on television for 15 years, but the emotional journey of watching former Bachelors and Bachelorettes find the one still gets to him — especially Rachel Lindsay‘s journey.

“I host so many shows, but this show touches me,” the longtime ABC host told PEOPLE at The Bachelorette: Men Tell All taping. “That’s why I come back and do it, because I care about these people.”

Adds Harrison, 46: “Rachel and I went through this journey together. You can’t be this disengaged robot. When you’re going through it, I’m sitting across from this woman who’s bawling and putting her heart out, how do you not cry? I think being a dad myself, I just picture my daughter going through this someday. I just try and be the right person for them and support them. It’s a weird thing as a host. You’re not a typical host. I wear a lot of hats.”

Lindsay is finally down to her three reaming suitors — Bryan Abasolo, Peter Kraus and Eric Bigger — but, getting there wasn’t easy.

After an emotional date in Dean Unglert’s hometown of Aspen, Colorado, Lindsay made the difficult decision to part ways with the 25-year-old.

“I cried on the entire flight to Dallas, and I cried all day leading up to it,” Lindsay wrote in her exclusive PEOPLE blog.  “I didn’t want to make a decision, I wanted to run and just go home and never have to break another heart again. But when my tears dried I realized that, while I do feel a love for Dean, I’m just not sure he’s in a place in his life where he’s ready to settle down and start a family in the near future.”

And Harrison, who has been right by Lindsay’s side throughout this process, knows a little something about comforting.

The host, who is father to son, Joshua, and daughter, Taylor, credits his ability to empathize with the Bachelorette to his experiences as a father.

“When I think of my daughter, when I come home and she runs and jumps in my arms, I cry like a baby,” he said. “I never cry. Probably the first 30 years in my life, I’ve never cried. All of a sudden you have a son and things change. But when you have a daughter, I know it’s a double standard and it even may be a little sexist, but it’s just different. They just get to you. They crush you in ways you never thought you’d be crushed.”

The Bachelorette airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

The Bachelorette Contestant Bryce Powers Is Already in the Internet Dog House for Transphobic Comment

‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Criticized For Transphobic Reply To Dating Questionnaire

The Bachelorette” doesn’t officially kick off its 13th season until Monday night, but one of the 31 men vying for Rachel Lindsay’s love has already started off on the wrong foot.

ABC posted contestants’ bios to its website this week, and Bryce, a 30-year-old firefighter, has been criticized for how he responded to a certain question: What’s your biggest date fear?”

“The chick is actually a dude,” Bryce responded, per The Wrap

The contestant invited swift backlash from the LGBTQ community, including comments from “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” alum Sharon Needles and transgender actress Jen Richards.

ABC provided The Wrap with a statement denouncing Bryce’s answer. “This comment does not reflect the views of ABC, Warner Horizon or bachelorette Rachel Lindsay,” a representative stated. The network promptly removed the line from its website.

As Refinery29 points out, Bryce wasn’t the only contestant to display uninformed views about transgender people. Lucas, a man who lists his occupation as “whaboom,” stated that if he could have lunch with any one person, dead or alive, he’d choose Bruce Jenner (”dead”) and Caitlyn Jenner (”alive”).

“Would be a very interesting convo,” Lucas said.

“Lucas is fetishizing the experience of a trans woman,” Refinery29’s R.A. Farley wrote. “I’d like to think that Lucas wants to talk to Caitlyn Jenner in an effort to understand the trans experience. But I can’t help but think that’s not the case.”

Those missteps aside, Season 13 of “The Bachelorette” has been praised for being the series’ most progressive yet, with a black bachelorette and a more diverse set of contestants than ever before. The series returns to ABC Monday at 9 p.m. ET.

‘Bachelorette’ Rachel’s Contestant Bios, By The Numbers

Rachel Lindsay’s season of “The Bachelorette” has been tacitly cast as a new step toward diversity for the franchise. So how do her suitors stack up? Will she be meeting 31 clones, or men from all backgrounds?

The cast, at first glance, actually promises to offer a more varied one than usual ― more non-white men, fewer fitness trainers, and some real quirky options. Here’s a quick breakdown of Rachel’s dudes by the numbers:

Men of color: 14

Not bad!

Gelled pompadours: 12

They’re rocking those Jordan Rodgers haircuts.

V-neck T-shirts: 15

Sigh

Personal trainers: 1

Fewer than usual, actually!

ER doctors: 2

Keeping the mansion safe since 2017.

Lawyers: 2

Three, counting Rachel!

Tickle monsters: 1

We’re hoping this isn’t code for “molester.”

Whabooms: 1

Sure.

Fans of The Rock: 3

And every red-blooded straight woman in America.

Fans of Matthew McConaughey: 2

All right all right all right.

Haters of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino: 2

What did he ever do to these dudes?

Dudes who admit to getting boners at work: 2

No shame, guys. No shame.

Guy who admits he’s not there for the right reasons: 1

In response to “What do you hope to get out of participating in this television show?” Milton shamelessly says: “Real answer? Discovered. Everyone tells me I’m made for TV/movies.”

With 31 men appearing on the season, there’s simply too much bio goodness to fully process at one read. Jamey says he doesn’t have any female friends (um, rude); Lucas, the whaboom, once had a threesome at a wedding; and Anthony is our Haruki Murakami-reading crush. We can’t wait to get this season started.

Lovebirds Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth Dish on Their Joint Camping-Themed Bachelor and Bachelorette Party

Joy-Anna Duggar and her fiancé Austin Forsyth enjoyed the great outdoors for their joint bachelorette and bachelor party!

The engaged couple, who announced on the special episode of Counting On: Jinger’s Wedding in November that they had entered into a courtship, opted for a camping-themed party ahead of their upcoming nuptials.

“We were trying to think of ideas for what we should do for our bachelor and bachelorette party and actually Ms. Caldwell was the one that thought about a camping trip and floating down the river,” 19-year-old Duggar explains in a new Counting On clip.

Adds Forsyth: “I think I like outdoor activities because I grew up doing that. My dad took me camping at a very young age — our whole family — and it’s just something we’ve always enjoyed as a family and I hope to transfer that over to our family.”

Although Duggar admittedly has “never really been a big camper,” she says the experience “camping outdoors” has “been a blast.”

Reflecting on their special day spent on the river, Forsyth lists “hanging out with all the family and friends and just spending time together in the great outdoors and God’s creation” as his favorite part of the adventurous trip.

“Mine was definitely, of course hanging out with everybody, but as far as the adventure, I think kayaking down the rapids,” adds Duggar.

With their upcoming nuptials right around the corner, the soon-to-be newlyweds are preparing for their wedding day. And if it’s anything like older sister Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo, who tied the knot with husband Jeremy Vuolo in front of nearly 1,000 guests, it’s going to be a big and full house!

“Wedding planning is going great so far,” Duggar says with a smile. “I think Austin’s been helping out more than he ever thought he would be. He’s been a part of a lot of it.”

FROM COINAGE: 9 Healthy Kitchen Staples That Cost Less Than $ 1 Per Serving

While Forsyth is excited to say “I do” to his bride-to-be on the day of the wedding, he’s looking forward to spending forever with the Counting On star.

“I think I’m looking forward to the fact that it’ll be day number one of spending the rest of my life with this beautiful young lady,” Forsyth says, and adds, “and that I have finally married the woman of my dreams.”

In February, Duggar told PEOPLE that she and Forsyth have “gotten to experience so much already in our relationship,” including “Lots of church ministries, road trips, hiking, hunting and remodeling houses together.”

“It’s really special that I got to grow up with him and my family knows him really well,” she said about Forsyth, whom she first met when his family moved to Arkansas and started attending the Duggars’ church.

Counting On returns June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.

Inside Julianne Hough’s Star-Studded Bachelorette Party Weekend

Julianne Hough celebrated her last single days this weekend, partying in a tropical location along with two dozen of her closest friends for her beach-themed bachelorette party.

The 28-year-old Dancing with the Stars judge had a gaggle of friends by her side — including stars Nina Dobrev, Cindy Crawford, Kris Jenner, Aaron Paul‘s wife Lauren Paul, and mom Marriann Hough.

Together they shared the fun on social media, using a dozen or so hashtags on their posts. Some favorites? “#JulesBEACHelorette,” “#BitchinB4TheHitchin, “#HastaLaVistaHough,” “#TheFinalHoughrrah,” “#TheLastFlingB4TheRing,” “#BEACHeloretteWithMyBEACHES” and the dominant tag, “#WeDontLaichHimWeLoveHim.”

Along the way, there were plenty of group activities — including a trip to the gym, a trip to the beach, and (of course) dance.

“It’s so special to experience life… the special moments with my daughter,” mom Marriann wrote.

The festivities kicked off on Thursday, where the star’s best friend Dobrev took to her Instagram Stories to share plenty of envy-inducing snaps of the tropical getaway.

Up first? A casual 15 tequila shots — and a full lineup of delicious-looking cocktails.

“We’ve arrived,” wrote Dobrev, 28. “Let the game begins …”

Dobrev also shared a video of their idyllic waterfront setup, complete with an open-air living room, deck and pool.

And of course, there’s the woman of the hour herself, celebrating in a white bikini, veil and pink “Bachelorette” sash — drink in hand, of course.

The two BFFs also posted for selfies, with the bride-to-be flashing her stunning engagement ring.

And since girl’s just wanna have fun, Hough and Dobrev gave fans a little show when they danced in an Instagram video. “Beach please. These girls DEFINITELY know how to have fun. @nina,” Hough captioned the post, adding the hashtag: “#WeDontLAICHhimWeLoveHim.”

The girls enjoyed time on the beach and at the gym on Friday, posing for group photos throughout.

In the evening, they dressed in their best for a fancy dinner — followed by some fun dancing.

Most of Saturday was spent, as most morning are spent after a night of parting, recovering with coffee.

Hough and her hockey player fiancé Brooks Laich dated for a year and a half before he popped the question in August 2015.

Last December, the Dancing with the Stars judge revealed to PEOPLE Now that Laich, 33, is hoping to show off his own dancing skills at the couple’s wedding.

“It’s so funny because he really wants to do a first dance,” she said. “I was like, ‘Of course, I’ll help you and teach you and we can do some stuff!’ “

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 11 Episode 2 Recap: Kaitlyn Bristowe Wins — And Gives Roses To A Few Losers

It’s 2015. By now, reality TV is a young adult, but it hasn’t grown out of “The Bachelor” franchise. Despite its bizarre dating rituals, low success rate, and questionable racial and gender politics, the stable of shows is, if anything, more popular than ever. Do people love “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” or do they love to hate it? It’s unclear. But here at Here To Make Friends, we both love and love to hate them — and we love to snarkily dissect each episode in vivid detail.

In this week’s second Here To Make Friends podcast (it is a two-part premiere … thanks, ABC), hosts Claire Fallon, HuffPost culture writer, and Emma Gray, senior editor of HuffPost Women, recap the May 19 episode of “The Bachelorette,” Season 11. We’ll break down the conclusion of the two-Bachelorette thing, Kaitlyn’s taste in men and the slut-shamey, sex talk season highlights. (Also… the return of Nick Viall?!)

How Not To Slut-Shame A Woman (A Guide For ‘The Bachelorette’)

The two-Bachelorette drama may be over (mostly — we’re expecting to see more of Britt and her new suitor Brady), but during Tuesday night’s season highlights, ABC amped the anti-woman sentiment way up. Seems like the franchise’s “weird sex issues” are here to stay.

Preview clips are always cut to misdirect, but it’s clear that Kaitlyn has sex with one of the men and gets called out for her physical intimacy by some of her suitors. The preview (see below, starting at around 2:30) shows Kaitlyn sobbing, berating herself for making a “mistake,” while bachelors accuse her of just going on TV to make out with a bunch of guys. The producers play this up even further by cutting in Kaitlyn saying that sexual chemistry is vital to a relationship.

The slut-shaming overtones of the preview alone were deeply disturbing. Here’s hoping the actual arc of the season won’t be all about raking Kaitlyn over the coals for engaging in normal adult behavior.

In case ABC needs a little reminder, here are some simple guidelines to help them portray Kaitlyn’s search for love in a way that doesn’t hearken back to the Victorian era:

1. Having consensual sex with another adult is not wrong.

2. You are not a broken woman just because you make out with men. (Or with women for that matter.)

3. A woman has no obligation to confess every detail of her sex life to men she’s casually dating.

4. Sexual chemistry is totally a “right reason” to date someone.

5. Not having a physical spark with someone is a totally reasonable dealbreaker for any woman.

6. A woman should not feel ashamed for sleeping with someone.

7. Making out with people on television is essential to a dating show. Accept that and move on.

8. Everyone’s sexual preferences are valid, whether it’s Sean Lowe waiting until marriage or Kaitlyn not waiting very long at all.

9. Being sexual does not make you a bad person. Being sexual does not make you a bad person. Being sexual does not make you a bad person. (Repeat this again 100 times.)

Kaitlyn Bristowe Chosen As ‘The Bachelorette’ On Second Night Of Season 11 Premiere

After a two-hour Monday night premiere packed with tears, self-doubt and some less-than-impressive bachelors, we finally know who will star in the 11th season of “The Bachelorette.’ Drumroll please … Kaitlyn Bristowe.

With the Britt Nilsson sent home after just one night, “The Bachelorette” now returns to its regularly scheduled programming. Kaitlyn now has 25 suitors (some of whom had their hearts set on Britt!) to choose between.

With the departure of Britt, it may be back to business as usual for “The Bachelorette,” but the show has already ginned up enough controversy for a whole season with its two-Bachelorette gambit. Host Chris Harrison sat down with HuffPost Live and defended the approach, saying, “I love that some people are upset about it, because we’ve hit a chord with the people who are upset. It’s probably an issue you have with yourself or with other women.” Not everyone agreed, especially after an agonizing premiere that featured Britt and Kaitlyn seemingly torn up with insecurity and lashing out at each other.

But with Kaitlyn now in the driver’s seat, here’s hoping the rest of the season is a little stronger on girl power.

This Former Bachelorette Sewed Her Own $15 Red Carpet Dress on the Plane. Wait, What?

Prepare to try and not be jealous of former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, ‘k? Beyond having that amazing head of hair and stunning rock, she’s also apparently quite the talented seamstress, whipping up this DIY dress on the plane ride to last night’s premiere of season 19 of The Bachelor.

andi-dorfman-bachelor-premiere-red-carpet-2015

Looking at how perfect the draping is, I’m honestly so surprised she made that—and for $ 15, according to People‘s Instagram. Sewing a simple shift would challenge me, much less a Grecian-inspired one-shoulder gown ready for a red carpet strut. Plus, there are the practicals to consider, people: How’d she get scissors on the plane?

Did any of you watch the premiere last night? Glamour‘s guilty—there was quite the chatty email chain going on.

Andi Dorfman Chooses Josh Murray And Gets Engaged On ‘The Bachelorette’ Finale

It’s official: Andi Dorfman has made her choice! Drumroll please … (AND SPOILER ALERT!)

The 27-year-old Atlanta district attorney chose Josh Murray during “The Bachelorette” Season 10 finale on July 28 — and he got down on one knee to propose with a Neil Lane sparkler. So did she say yes? Well, of course she did!

“Andi, you are the answer to all my prayers. You are the woman of my dreams. You are the woman that I never thought existed in this world,” Murray told Dorfman, who was smiling from ear-to-ear.

“I know that feeling from the very first time I saw you, I know that feeling now, is love. It is,” Dorfman gushed. “You’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. You’re the one I want to have babies with.”

Murray, 29, is a former professional baseball player who now works as Financial Services Rep for Capstone Financial. And luckily for Dorfman, he also lives in Atlanta.

The runner-up, Nick Viall, was thrown a curveball when he was sent home heartbroken after Dorfman told him their relationship just didn’t “feel right” in a hotel room before the final rose ceremony. Although he received the first impression rose on the series premiere in May, it appears Viall wasn’t the front-runner like he had thought.

Congrats to Andi and Josh! Here’s to another TV wedding …
