‘Office Space’ Turns 20: How Mike Judge Brought Flair, Assclowns and Red Staplers to the World

Mike Judge’s workplace satire “Office Space,” which celebrates its 20th anniversary Feb. 19, was a bona fide box office flop when it grossed a measly $ 10.8 million in 1998. Dazed and Confused: Pet Raccoon, Stoned on Mystery Drugs, Brought to Indianapolis Firehouse for Emergency Care

It sounds like the stoner holiday of “4/20” has arrived early this year.

TheIndyChannel.com reports that a woman, distressed and downright frantic over her pet raccoon, woke Wayne Township firefighters in the middle of the night last Friday. According to Fire Dept. PIO Capt. Michael Pruitt, the exotic pet had been exposed to “too much” of “someone else’s marijuana.” The animal’s owner was distraught, worried it was overdosing and hoped the department could help.

“Story of the day! Our FF’s at Station 82 were awakened at 2 am last week to a person seeking treatment for her pet Raccoon. What was his illness you ask? The raccoon had smoked too much weed. Yes! It happened! As much as we love animals, there wasn’t much they could do,” the department tweeted.

As overheard in the audio file of the commotion that ensued, the Station 82 firefighters were confused at first about exactly what type of substance the raccoon had ingested.

“Apparently they have a pet raccoon that got into their meth,” an unidentified responder says at 3:57 a.m.

Moments later, a dispatcher attempts to clarify, saying, “Sir, Speedway doesn’t have anything, but fire did call across the hall and say that it was a raccoon that overdosed on somebody’s heroin.”

Next, a different officer radios in and says there aren’t any signs of a drugged raccoon on the premises.

“I’m sitting at one of the firehouses. No pet raccoons are overdosing here,” he says.

“Well if they show up, you Narcan him,” another officer replies.

In the end, Capt. Pruitt says the animal’s owners took it home to sleep off its — marijuana — high.

“They could tell that the raccoon was lethargic and met all of those symptoms that we typically run into when someone’s been exposed to marijuana,” Pruitt told WTHR. “It really left the guys scratching their heads that someone brought a raccoon to the firehouse at 2 a.m. seeking help, and especially with the condition the animal was in, so we hope that the raccoon made a full recovery.”

With 4/20 just around the corner, pet owners who are also pot smokers (or edibles munchers) are reminded to keep their stash far away from their animals. For more information about pets and marijuana toxicity, check out our explainer here.

More 2016 Candidates’ Private Numbers, Brought To You By Trump

Having trouble getting the phone number of a 60-year-old man? Donald Trump can help you out with that.

“The Donald” stooped to a new low by sharing the private phone number of sitting South Carolina senator and rival 2016 GOP presidential candidate, Lindsey Graham, during a speech today. Trump read from the original note on which he had taken down Graham’s digits years earlier. Could it possibly get any worse? (Yes, it’s Trump.) He did it in the senator’s home state.

Shots. Fired.

Trump’s bad sportsmanship knows no bounds. HuffPost Comedy captured some exclusive photographs (hmm, not sure why no one else got these) that show Trump oversharing personal information about the rest of the 2016 field. Take a look:

Bryan Cranston Brought Back Walter White At Electric Daisy Carnival

Walter White is the one who knocks and also the one who dances to his own song at music festivals.

Bryan Cranston made a surprise appearance at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas Saturday night to resurrect his “Breaking Bad” character. During Above & Beyond’s set at the festival, the actor came on stage with the DJs to introduce their song “Walter White.”

Channeling his inner Heisenberg, Cranston took the microphone and shouted his famous “Breaking Bad” line: “Say my name.” The actor pressed the play button to kick off the song as the crowd went wild. Before leaving the stage, Cranston also took a few moments to rock out to his song with the DJs.

On Sunday morning, the actor tweeted a video from EDC and wrote that, while he may have left the Above & Beyond stage early, he definitely pulled an all-nighter. At least it wasn’t spent cooking in an RV.

Ryan has four—soon to be five—children with four different women. During a discussion with Iyanla about love, infidelity and the responsibilities of being a father, Ryan and his mother begin to work through their issues on Iyanla’s stage.

Ryan, whose father died when he was 7 years old, gets emotional when he addresses his mother, who admits that she was verbally abusive towards him when he was a boy. First, Ryan forgives her for the past. “I forgive you for tearing me down,” he says. “I forgive you for every time I hurt myself. I forgive you. I love you. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Then, Ryan reveals why he’s thankful for his mother. “Even though you weren’t my father, Mom, you showed me how to be a parent. And I never walk away from my kids because of you,” he says. “It was hard for me to come up here. I drove six hours. I wanted to turn around so many times because I knew God was going to break me down, and I didn’t want it to happen yet. But I’m sick of hurting.”

In the video above, Ryan bares his soul as an emotional Iyanla stands behind the family.

Iyanla is also teaching a six-week eCourse on forgiveness.
