Urban Zen Celebrates Designer and Artist Robert Lee Morris

Having worked hand in hand with Robert Lee Morris for years on jewelry with her own brands, Donna Karan always knew that she wanted to do something special for the artist within her Urban Zen space. “This reminds me of everything we’ve done together and now he’s taking it into another dimension and I see even more reasons to do it together,” she expressed.
Karan’s whole idea of Urban Zen is, “past, present and future” (through preserving culture and future education); she celebrated the works of Lee Morris’ as such through an intimate gathering of his latest sculptural works, displayed within the  Greenwich space among photographs by Jimmy Nelson, sculptures by Karan’s late husband Stephan Weiss, and handmade accessories, home decor, textiles, clothing and more from artisans around the world.
“This is an official launch of the latest sculpture collection,” Lee Morris proclaimed. ”I’ve been making them and making them and making them and they piled up, so I had no more room in my studio. I happened to come to a birthday party for Stan Herman here [at Urban Zen] and Donna said, “What have you been doing?” and I showed her the pictures and she went, ‘I want

Kiton Celebrates KNT Line

NEW YORK — Antonio De Matteis, the chief executive officer of Kiton, looked on like a proud father as his twin sons, Mariano and Walter De Matteis, explained their collection KNT, short for Kiton New Textures, which hit stores Thursday night.
“It’s all their vision,” said Antonio, wearing a suit at the Kiton flagship here while his sons wore the more relaxed styles from the KNT collection.
The line utilizes the same premium fabrics as Kiton, but the collection, which is the same price point, is much sportier. The brothers showcased jackets, joggers, shirts and sneakers. The textile patterns are inspired by urban architecture and the color palette is mostly black, white, gray and blue. For now, the pieces are showcased in a small space in front of the Kiton store. The twins said they are attempting to cater to the existing Kiton customer and bring in a new one.
“We love creating new paths, discovering and exploiting opportunities where others only see obstacles,” said Mariano. Walter added: “We are honest to ourselves, respectful of our own historical DNA and of our own spirit without compromise.”

Alexis Mabille Celebrates First Restaurant, Froufrou

PARIS — A line of guests formed in front of the Edouard VII in the 9th arrondissement, but they were there for something other than the theater’s program. Designer Alexis Mabille was officially unveiling Froufrou, the theater’s new restaurant and bar. Formerly Café Guitry, Froufrou was decorated by Mabille in lavish Belle Epoque style.
The designer had spent the day presenting his spring collection, but showed no signs of fatigue as he greeted guests in the foyer. “It had to come to life,” said the designer, who admitted to spending the summer working on the project.
Chef Juan Arbelaez created the menu, a selection of dishes to be devoured with the same excess and enthusiasm as a stage actor. “At Froufrou, you will eat and drink a bit too much, laugh too loudly, make a lot of noise and enjoy a moment you’ll never forget,” said the Franco-Colombian chef.
Guests queued for a piece of his braised lamb shank, served with a generous dollop of smooth mashed potato. Waiters passed around toasted slices of baguette topped with bone marrow and white truffle, while pescatarians drifted to bowls of lemony pollack ceviche.

ITALIAN TRIBUTE: Vogue Italia took over Milan’s Cinema Manzoni on Friday night to pay tribute to legendary Italian musician Mina Mazzini, who is the focus of the magazine’s October issue. The issue features a range of fashion shoots showing famous models, including Gisele Bündchen, Carla Bruni and Mariacarla Boscono, posing as Mina — she dropped her last name as an artist —  in different stages of her life and career and captured by international photographers, such as Luigi & Iango, Giampaolo Sgura and Dario Catellani.
“I don’t know Mina, unfortunately. But I’m excited to learn about her, the pictures are fabulous. The pictures are amazing, they did an amazing tribute,” said Jeremy Scott, who was among the guests at the party, which included a live performance by drag queen Violet Chachki and a gospel choir.
Asked about his favorite Mina song, designer Francesco Scognamiglio mentioned “Ma che m’hai imparato a fa.” “It’s a great Neapolitan song she covered and that our Maestro Gianni Versace used for his Atelier runway show in Paris in 1993 and which has been the most emotional moment of my life,” he said.

Jason Wu Celebrates Fragrance Anniversary With Scented Doll

Jason Wu is going back to his roots to celebrate his year-old namesake fragrance.
Launching today exclusively at Net-a-porter, the designer is releasing his first scented doll. While he has designed dolls for his brand in the past and worked as a doll designer with Integrity Toys before launching his line, this limited-edition doll is his first scented product, taking inspiration from the fragrance itself and the dress he designed for model Lily Aldridge, who serves as the face of the fragrance, for the 2017 CFDA Awards.
“I started my career designing dolls about 15 years ago and it was my first career before fashion,” Wu said. “[The scented doll] is a nice way to combine that with what I’ve been doing in fashion and fragrance, which is relatively new to me. It’s combining three facets of my career.”
Manufactured with Wu’s longtime partner Integrity Toys, the doll comes wearing a miniature version of the dress Wu designed for Aldridge, which is a pinkish nude tulle dress embroidered with Swarovski crystals, complete with matching heels, earrings and a miniature version of the fragrance bottle. Three hundred units will be created for the doll, which will be sold with a 3-oz. bottle of the

“We envisioned this as a space that’s always changing, a place where we could host events for the community,” said Lim. Indeed, while some of the collectible furniture pieces remained the same over the year, others were added or moved to make way for art installations. The clothes and shoes were not the focus but instead a small edit of pieces displayed as one-off installations themselves.
Others were worn by those in attendance, including 3.1 Phillip Lim chief executive officer and cofounder Wen Zhou, models Sami Miro and Chloe Norgaard and actor Jack Falahee. Also in the mix were designers Eddie Borgo and Trina Turk, Barneys New York creative ambassador-at-large Simon Doonan and Magasin owner Josh Peskowitz.

In Nod to ’68 Roots, Sonia Rykiel Celebrates New Pavé Handbag

PARIS — The vibes were clearly more peace and love than discontent on an early spring evening at 175 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. Half a century after student protests gripped the Left Bank of the French capital, a crowd was drawn to the Sonia Rykiel store to celebrate a new handbag, the Pavé, or cobblestone, meant as a playful nod to an era when angry protesters lobbed the stones at riot police.
That period of rebellion also gave birth to the label, still famous decades later for its striped and colorful knitwear.
“It’s a house that was born 50 years ago in Saint Germain-des-Prés. A house of creation, a women’s house, a house that contributed to its era — it didn’t create its era but was stimulated by it,” said Jean-Marc Loubier, chief executive officer of First Heritage Brands, owner of the company.
“Sonia Rykiel did not throw cobblestones in ’68,” added Loubier, noting that the designer’s approach to reflecting on life, and, as a woman, on the role of women in society, serves as a link. Rykiel, who passed away last year at 86, was known to recite poems in her first store; the book-lined walls of the Saint Germain flagship are recognizable

Goop Celebrates Dallas Pop-up

GOOP DEE DOO: Dallas is stuck on Goop — and Gwyneth Paltrow.
When she invited local tastemakers to shop last Thursday at Goop’s pop-up in Highland Park Village, they came out in force.
“Goop has a way of curating the home, clothing and lifestyle in a way that is special and livable, and people love it,” said Christen Wilson, who’s on the board of the Tate Americas Foundation. “I bought a silver jacket for my son and a navy sweatshirt.”
“I love that you can have a margarita and buy some salt and maybe a Prada bag,” said Bagsnob blogger Tina Craig. “It’s like the next level.”
Paltrow and Highland Park Village co-owners Elisa and Stephen Summers returned the favor that evening, hosting them and 55 more for an al fresco dinner in the Summers’ verdant backyard. Among those attending were Nick Wooster, former Forty Five Ten executives Brian Bolke and Taylor Tomasi Hill, art consultants and dealers Lisa and John Runyon and blogger Jane Aldridge.
The party was an ode to Goop’s collaboration with Cointreau, which meant plenty of margaritas were washed down with fresh, veggie-oriented cuisine by chef Seamus Mullen.
“Delicious,” said Craig.

Outside, a large, silver-mosaic sculpture in the spirit of de Saint Phalle’s iconic “Tarot Garden” set the party’s glistening tone, while inside one found the artist’s jubilant designs on boxlike clutches or embroidered sweaters. Fueled by an endless flow of Ruinart, a DJ set by the striking Melis, and the Dior ready-to-wear and accessories collections for men and women, the official opening party garnered enthusiastic response from local and international customers, assorted guests and the growing cadre of Dior-loving German actors, actresses and artists.

Despite the fact that the reality star has “worked so hard working out” recently, on Thursday she revealed on her website/app that she needed a little extra help to feel ready for the fashionable event next month because she had “started eating a lot of sweets.”

Ermenegildo Zegna Exhibit Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Brand’s Entry in RTW

MILAN — Who knew the Ermenegildo Zegna Group produced Emilio Pucci’s first men’s wear collection in 1968? And who knew Anna Zegna, president of Fondazione Zegna, worked with Gianni Versace on the designer’s first men’s collection in 1978?
These are only two of the surprising discoveries made during a preview tour of the exhibition “Uomini all’Italiana [Men Italian Style] 1968” staged at Casa Zegna, near the brand’s storied wool mill in Trivero, a one and a half hour drive from Milan. The exhibit, organized by Fondazione Zegna, celebrates the 50th anniversary of Ermenegildo Zegna’s entry into ready-to-wear and runs May 6 to Oct. 28. “These years were the beginning of the Italian fashion system and lifestyle,” said Anna Zegna. “Women’s wear was more established, while men’s wear was starting at that time.”

Paralyzed Diver Celebrates Birthday by Returning to the Water — with His Adorable Daughter Cheering On

Cliff Devries was once a nationally-ranked driver who dreamed of going to the Olympics. But in his early 20s, Devries faced cancer and a life-saving surgery that left the right side of his body paralyzed —bringing his athletic aspirations to a halt.

Now a diving coach at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, Devries celebrates his birthday each year by diving into a pool, according to Deseret News. This year, for his 44th birthday, Devries took to the school’s Judson Pool — and the inspirational moment was caught on video.

Need a little inspiration? Click here to subscribe to the Daily Smile Newsletter for uplifting, feel-good stories that brighten up your inbox.

“I’ve never really seen it as an inspirational thing. It’s just a lot of fun for me to get up on the board and be back in the water,” Devries told the publication. “The fact that it has blown up to be a large thing where a lot of people can say this is something that is good and helped them, that’s just an extra bonus for me.”

Video footage of the dive shows Devries walking to the edge of the diving board, as his 5-year-old daughter, Grace, watches from the side of the pool. After a small tumble backward, Devries completes the dive and little Grace is shown on the sidelines jumping up and down and clapping for her father.

“I wanted one more inch, so as I dove my feet wouldn’t scrape the board,” Devries told the Democrat & Chronicle. “That’s when my leg locked up and I fell back onto Corey. I was pretty scared there for a moment. A whole bunch of scenarios were going through my head.”

Still, he completed the dive with no issues. And Facebook video footage of the display has been viewed more than 50 million times.

“It’s been an amazing few days,” he told the Chronicle. “I’m just happy that everybody is seeing something that they can take from it and that it has been a positive video for everybody.”

In 1995, shortly after returning from a mission trip, Devries had surgery to remove a massive tumor near his brain stem. He has been partially paralyzed ever since.

Groom-to-Be Who Was Paralyzed at His Bachelor Party Ties the Knot 9 Months Later: ‘We’re in This Together’

“The people around me see me as normal,” Devries told the Chronicle. “I walk through the deck and nobody’s staring at me. Nobody thinks it’s special. It’s just Cliff going up on the board doing his annual dive.”

He added: “I’d love to do a back dive one of these years. But I’m just not that ambitious.”

Vera Wang Celebrates Chinese Heritage and American Upbringing at China Institute’s Blue Cloud Gala

BIG IN CHINA: Vera Wang and Ron Perelman were among the honorees at the China Institute’s annual Blue Cloud gala Thursday night.
The gathering at Cipriani’s lower Broadway location in the Cunard Building was meant to center on the Institute’s commitment to advancing understanding and deepening trust between China and the U.S. Ning Yuan, chairman and president of China Construction America, and Robert Hong Xiao, chief executive officer of Perfect World Co. Beforehand, China Institute chairman Chien Chung Pei, better known as “Didi,” said of the honorees, “They share the spirit and mission of China Institute to shape positive and strong U.S.-China relations through education, culture and business.”
Derek Lam also turned up to support Wang. She later told the crowd how growing up in the U.S., her parents Cheng Ching and Florence Wang encouraged her to embrace American culture, never allowing her to forget her Chinese heritage. That delicate balance was what provided her and her brother “with such a unique view of the world and a sincere appreciation for both cultures,” she said.

Independents’ Day: Mr. Sid Celebrates a Half-Century in Suburban Boston

The story begins when Sid Segel opened a small tuxedo rental business in suburban Boston. His sons, Ira and Robert, used that business as the seed to open Mr. Sid in 1967.
Today, that small shop has morphed into a 10,000-square-foot upscale men’s store in Newton Centre, Mass., that is run by Sid’s grandsons Stuart and Barry. The brothers, whose late father Ira was an institution in the men’s wear industry until his death in 2015, celebrated the milestone with a black-tie event last week. Later this month, the Segels will take the plunge and open a second store in downtown Boston in the newly developed Seaport district.
Here, Stuart Segel talks about the anniversary, the planned expansion and the qualities that have enabled Mr. Sid to survive.
WWD: Managing to survive as an independent retailer for 50 years is quite an accomplishment. How did the business get its start?
Stuart Segel: My grandfather, Sid, had a tuxedo rental business and had a branch in Newton Centre. My father and uncle opened their business on Sept. 25, 1967, and eventually it transformed into this. They decided to call it Mr. Sid because back then a name meant a lot for credit purposes. Sean Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Addition of New Collection

Sean Cassidy was on vacation in Paris when he discovered Emilie Lafaurie’s men’s wear collection and became enamored with the line’s updated traditional designs.
That chance meeting led to Cassidy tossing aside a career in children’s book marketing to become the exclusive distributor of Lafaurie’s collection in the U.S. through his own stores.
This September, Cassidy will mark the 20th anniversary of Sean, a three-unit men’s specialty store business that carries only Lafaurie’s designs. And to celebrate the milestone, the two are teaming to introduce Beau, a special capsule designed by Lafaurie to appeal to the Millennial man.
“I really don’t like the term ‘Millennial,’” Cassidy said, “but we’re targeting the guy who is just getting on his feet.”
Beau will consist of 40 pieces including suit separates, shirts and sweaters that can be mixed and matched to allow younger guys to look professional and polished but still contemporary. The collection is manufactured in Europe, primarily France, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria and Germany.
Prices will range from $ 98 to $ 118 for shirts, $ 88 to $ 128 for sweaters, $ 98 to $ 128 for casual pants and $ 395 to $ 435 for suits. The average price for a Emilie Lafaurie suit is $ 600.

Paris Cocktail Celebrates Willy Vanderperre’s Fanzine

’ZINE SCENE: The fifth and sixth releases of Willy Vanderperre’s 12-issue fanzine, called /12 that’s being done throughout one year in association with Idea Books, was celebrated in Paris on Saturday evening.
Fans of the photographer and the two models — Kiki Willems and Jonas Gloer — who feature in the editions flocked to the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum Paris for the event. That’s also where the publication was launched exclusively prior to being introduced worldwide and online starting July 1.
Just 300 copies of each issue are available, and every one in the series, each of which features one model — such as Julia Nobis, Clément Chabernard and Abbey Lee — has followed the same format. This includes a double-page spread shot with a flash of the person wearing makeup; a photo of a detail of the model, usually their ear, and a loose-leaf format. It’s almost Hockney-eque in its multifaceted perspective and approach.

Couple Celebrates The Arrival Of Their Baby Girl With The Sweetest Shoot

You don’t need to have a baby on the way to do one of those trendy “gender reveal” photo shoots.

Missouri couple Kennedy Sartwell and her boyfriend of five years Jake Terry decided to celebrate the arrival of their pup Raven in April with a super cute photo shoot inspired by the ones moms- and dads-to-be often do to announce the sex of their babies.

The couple filled a box with pink balloons to introduce their baby girl, and then snapped some pics with the most photogenic little face you ever did see.

“I’ve been looking for a puppy for quite a while and I’ve been wanting some way to announce it to the world,” Kennedy told ABC News. “Mom and I were coming up with ideas and thought of a [gender] reveal.”

Initially, the photos were just supposed to be just for the couple’s friends and family to enjoy. But after Kennedy’s mom, Cristy Sartwell of Infinite Smiles Photography, posted them on Facebook, they went viral with more than 100,000 likes and 160,000 shares.

Kennedy told Inside Edition that Raven, a Labrador-German shepherd mix, got a little fussy while getting her picture taken and kept getting distracted by dandelions.

“We had to chase her for the entire photo shoot,” she said.

But the fur-tastic photos made it all worthwhile:

Adele Celebrates Turning 29 With Cheeky ‘Makeover’

Now we know what the cover of an Adele album titled “91” might look like.

While celebrating her 29th birthday on Friday, the songstress shared some makeover shots on Twitter. The look she went for wasn’t the “glow up” you might expect from a superstar, however.

In the photos, the singer looked more like a grandmother than the Grammy-winning talent we know and love, wearing a pink cardigan sweater, glasses on a chain, special makeup and a wig.

Clearly, she has a healthy sense of humor about getting older. The Mirror explained that the look is an homage to British comedian Catherine Tate’s sketch show character, Nan.

See the resemblance in a clip from the show:

The star has quite a lot to celebrate, including recently breaking the Billboard record that Carole King set for the longest-charting record by a woman. (Her 2011 album, “21,” has spent roughly six years on the Billboard 200.)

Happy birthday, Adele! We hope you keep us laughing (and crying) for many years to come.

M. Dumas Celebrates a Century in Charleston

There’s a party going on in Charleston, S.C.
This year, M. Dumas & Sons is celebrating its 100th anniversary — a milestone for any retailer, let alone a third-generation family-owned one — and on Thursday, the men’s specialty store will close down Society Street for a block party and fashion presentation that will showcase a century of M. Dumas style.
When the store opened in 1917, it was a uniform purveyor for service jobs and is credited with introducing Levi’s jeans to the Charleston market.
During the Korean and Vietnam wars, it was the sole provider of uniforms for naval officers stationed in Charleston and also offered a large selection of hunting and outdoor apparel, as well as shotguns and fishing poles.
By the Sixties, the business transitioned into more traditional men’s wear and over the years it has introduced brands such as Tommy Bahama, Sperry, Woolrich, CC Filson, Barbour, Duck Head and Southern Tide to the Charleston market.
Owned today by David Dumas, the grandson of founder Mendel Dumas, the store carries tailored clothing and sportswear from brands such as Hickey Freeman, Samuelsohn, Jack Victor, Eton, Rodd & Gunn, Faherty, Vince, Paul & Shark, Bonobos, Ledbury, Filson and Johnnie-O.

Alexis Arquette’s Sister Patricia Celebrates the Transgender Pioneer’s Legacy 6 Months After Death: ‘I Wouldn’t Change a Thing’

Alexis Arquette was undoubtedly one of the first transgender activists in Hollywood.

Coming from a family of actors, Alexis was accepted when she came out. Her sister Patricia was concerned about the impact her sister’s revelation would have on her career — though Alexis was not.

“Alexis was really also very powerful, and strong, and really brave, very brave,” Patricia told PEOPLE while at the Let’s Toast the Extraordinary Achievements of Alexis Arquette pre-GLAAD Media Awards dinner sponsored by Ketel One in Hollywood.

“We had a long conversation when Alexis told me that she was transgender, and I said, ‘Okay. So what do you do about Hollywood? How will you get work? People are not progressive in Hollywood and it could really negatively impact your career. Are you thinking everything through?’ ” the Academy Award Winner recalled.

Patricia affirms that despite the obvious risks, Alexis was confident in her decision to come out in Hollywood.

“Alexis was very brave to make that decision,” her sister continued. “She really wanted to help progress the world and move the world forward.”

Alexis died last September at age 47, but childhood memories of Alexis are still vivid for Patricia.

“Alexis and David both had these beds that sort of look like space pods. They were like these tubes that you could get in,” the 48-year-old recalled. “My mom was making Alexis’ bed and realized that a big chunk of the mattress was missing out of the corner. She said, ‘Alexis what happened to your mattress?’ Alexis said, ‘I need the foam to make a puppet.’ So she pulled out this puppet with this little sparkly dress on it and my mom said, ‘Oh, my god, it’s gorgeous. My kids are so creative.’ “

Patricia was joined at the event by brothers David and Richmond along with her boyfriend Eric White. Not only were they there to remember their sister, but also to honor the many lives that she touched.

“We’ve gotten so many letters. I’ve had letters from people all over the world who said their first experience of a trans person was with Alexis,” Patricia shared in awe of her late sister.  “Watching Alexis in Last Exit to Brooklyn — which was Alexis’ first movie — she played a trans person in the 1950s which was considered really a crossdresser at that time. That’s what people called trans people then.”

Patricia also noted ,”Alexis was incredibly creative our whole lives. I grew up with Alexis putting on makeup, trying on high heels …. Alexis was my best friend when we grew up, so I wouldn’t change one thing about Alexis.”

Fashion East’s Matty Bovan Celebrates Barbie Collaboration

BIRTHDAY GIRL: Up-and-coming British designer Matty Bovan has been focusing his efforts to dressing a very special celebrity client for her birthday celebration this month: Barbie.
Mattel tapped the young designer to create outfits for the famous doll, as well as an accompanying film, to mark the 58th anniversary of the launch of Barbie.
Bovan unveiled the results of the collaboration at Mayfair’s The Women’s Space, to an intimate crowd of family and friends which included the designers Stephen Jones, Charles Jeffrey and Ryan Lo.
Bovan painted Barbie’s face with the bright, glitter eye shadows he favors for himself and dressed her in pieces from his spring 2017 collection, from chunky pink knitted sweaters, to crystal-embellished tasseled skirts and a velvet green printed dress.
“I’ve loved Barbie since childhood because for me it provided a blank canvas to be creative, plus Barbie is such a recognizable brand, so it was an immediate yes for me when Mattel got in touch,” Bovan said.
Guests gathered around the Barbies all smiles, taking pictures on their phones. Jones couldn’t resist taking a white rose and placing it upside down on one of the dolls’ heads as a hat. “Do you approve?” he asked Bovan.

Colette Makes Up With Saint Laurent, Celebrates With Window Displays

PARIS — Yves Saint Laurent is back at Colette.
The Paris concept store on Monday unveiled two window displays devoted to the French fashion house, signaling a reconciliation: Saint Laurent had severed ties with the retailer in 2013 after former creative director Hedi Slimane objected to Colette carrying parody T-shirts with the logo “Ain’t Laurent Without Yves.”
Sarah Andelman, Colette’s creative director, purchasing manager and the daughter of store founder Colette Rousseau, said discussions with Saint Laurent resumed after Anthony Vaccarello was named creative director of the brand last year. Colette previously carried Vaccarello’s eponymous line, which he shuttered when he joined Saint Laurent.
“We have worked with Anthony since his first collection. It was obvious that we would be able to work together again,” Andelman told WWD. “As soon as Anthony’s nomination was announced, we met and we started planning the beautiful windows we have right now.”
Vaccarello unveiled the collaboration on his Instagram account.

Zen Mama! Alona Tal Celebrates Daughter’s Upcoming Birth with Celestial-Themed Baby Shower

Alona Tal is preparing for motherhood by celebrating in the most relaxing way possible.

The Israeli actress is set to welcome a baby girl this year with husband Marcos Ferraez, she confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

To mark the occasion, the Supernatural alum was the guest of honor at a moon-and-stars-themed Beverly Hills, California, baby shower on Sunday, hosted by Good Carma Studio.

“This is my first pregnancy, so needless to say, the shower was a nice break from the worries and ‘what ifs’ of the unknown that lies ahead.,” Tal, 33, tells PEOPLE exclusively of her special day.

“Being Israeli born, where baby showers aren’t really a thing, I couldn’t imagine how excited I would become about having one myself. The ladies at Good Carma Studio understood me and who I am, and based on that, threw the most amazing and relaxing baby shower I have ever attended.”

The mom-to-be jokes, “I’m so grateful it was my own shower or else I would have been very jealous!”

The “zen-like” bash, decked out in gold, white and black accents, was attended by Gal Gadot, Christy Carlson Romano, Noa Tishby, Susie Abromeit and Elizabeth McLaughlin.

“Being surrounded by dearest friends who are all amazing, talented, nurturing women and watching them enjoy every minute of the baby shower was a gift I shall sincerely cherish forever,” says Tal.

As guests arrived to the spa-infused party, they were gifted with custom Hamsa hair bows from Ella’s Bows. Each guest also had the opportunity to hand-pick a necklace with healing stones from Emma J. Company.

Attendees noshed on gourmet bites catered by vegan chef Theresa Rountree, including falafel salad with beet dressing, hearts-of-palm-stuffed vegan crab cakes with mango salsa and crostini with herbed cheese, caramelized onions, roasted carrots and dill.

For dessert, a Polkatots dessert table offered multiple cakes, cupcakes and cookies decorated to highlight the celestial theme.

Flowers by Bashful Rose decorated the serene space and a La Croix sparkling water bar kept everyone’s thirst quenched, offering a variety of flavors, along with berries for garnish.

Between bites and sips, Tal’s friends and family were treated to custom illustrations from Courtney coloring, were able to mix together their own Lalicious body scrubs and chose cute sunglasses by Real Shades for their own kids.

To add to the tranquil atmosphere, guests enjoyed foot and hand massages from Manly Handz mobile spa.

The expectant mom of the hour was gifted with a plethora of goodies to help her relax as she awaits the arrival of her baby girl, including a Muse Meditation Headband and a basket from Secrets of Tea, filled with brews for both moms and babies.

But Tal wasn’t the only person to leave the party with gifts. Each attendee went home with a tote bag chock full of treasures, including products by Mabel’s Labels, Stephen Joseph Gifts, Pixi, Aquiesse Candles, Munchkin, Stella & Dot, Truself Organics, Angels & Emeralds, Baby K’tan and more.

“Being able to get pampered and showered with love and beautiful energy before we head into the next chapter of our lives was welcomed and very much needed,” Tal tells PEOPLE. “My husband and I could not be more excited and hopeful.”

Le Bon Marché Celebrates Chiharu Shiota Exhibit

PARIS — “It’s pure poetry. They look like angel’s wings,” said Daniel Templon, looking up in awe at the sculptural arcs of white thread stretched over the ground floor of Le Bon Marché.
The Paris department store celebrated the launch of an in-store exhibition by Chiharu Shiota on Sunday night, for which the Japanese artist had spun around 300,000 yards of white thread.
In addition to the wavelike sculptures stretched over a portion of the ground floor, the show titled “Where are We Going?” featured constellations of 150 weblike ships suspended over the department store’s soaring atrium and 10 window displays interspersing the white threads with ancient maps — a “celestial navigation,” according to Templon.
The galerist represents Shiota and is known for introducing major contemporary artists, including Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, to France.
An exhibition by the artist and activist Ai Weiwei last winter had set the bar high.
“That exhibition had a worldwide effect. It was an enormous surprise,” said Patrice Wagner, chairman and chief executive officer of the LVMH-owned department store. The Ai Weiwei exhibition raised the store’s profile in the international press and boosted store traffic substantially.
“Sometimes we had 10 times the usual traffic during Ai Weiwei,” Wagner said. “Business isn’t the

Chance The Rapper Celebrates The Last Christmas Before Donald Trump With Run-DMC Spoof

Chance the Rapper marked what will be President Barack Obama’s last holiday season in office by spoofing Run-DMC’sChristmas in Hollis” track on “Saturday Night Live.”

The hip-hop star joined forces with regular “SNL” cast members Kenan Thompson and Leslie Jones for the music video of the catchy “Jingle Barack” song. There was even a cameo appearance by the real-life DMC, aka Darryl McDanielstoward the end.

But the upbeat number came with a serious message, principally a warning of what will happen this time next year — once President-elect Donald Trump is in the White House.

“Hey kids enjoy the presents while you can, because next year you might get a bomb from Iran,” rapped Thompson, with Chance later adding: “I’mma hurt myself before we lose Obamacare.”

Lane Bryant’s Unretouched Ad Celebrates Women, Stretch Marks And All

Lane Bryant typically garners attention for the statements it makes with its campaigns. Now, it’s going viral for not saying anything at all.

Denise Bidot, plus-size model and founder of the “There Is No Wrong Way To Be A Woman” movement, is the subject of a photo Lane Bryant posted to its Instagram account on Thursday.

Clad in a two-piece bathing suit and a cover up, you might not even notice that the image hasn’t been retouched, or that Bidot’s stretch marks are fully visible in the shot.

The brand makes no mention of the stretch marks, instead focusing on what’s really important, that “It’s December. It’s Wednesday. We all need a break.” In an e-mail to The Huffington Post, CMO and EVP of marketing Brian Beitler explained that the idea behind the image is pretty simple.

“We at Lane Bryant simply believe that all women should be seen and celebrated as they are. Society and the media continuously project an unrealistic and frankly out-dated beauty and body standard,” he said.

Bidot later posted the photo to her own Instagram, praising it for “how real it is” and thanking the brand for loving her body, “stretch marks and all.”

The model, who has also starred in campaign images for Old Navy and Nordstrom, is joined by the likes of Danielle Brooks, Ashley Graham and Gabourey Sidibe in working with the brand. Beitler told The Huffington Post that these women “are breaking boundaries with their confidence and talent” and “will continue to promote body-inclusion in fashion and media.”

We’ll be waiting with open arms for the next one.

Couple Celebrates 70th Anniversary With Wedding Shoot They Never Had

High school sweethearts Ferris and Margaret Romaire had no photos from their 1946 wedding day. So for the couple’s 70th anniversary this year, their granddaughter Amanda Kleckley planned a photo shoot reenacting the wedding pictures they missed out on the first time around.

Amanda contacted photographer Lara Carter, who was eager to help. For the Oct. 12 shoot in Pearland, Texas, Ferris, 90, sported a tux, while Margaret, 89, donned a lavender gown and a veil. The couple smiled ear-to-ear as they canoodled and sipped on some celebratory champagne.

“You can see the love between them in the way they interacted with each other and laughed together as we would go from the different poses,” Lara told The Huffington Post. “They are a beautiful example of what marriage is meant to be.”

The couple shared some pearls of relationship wisdom with Lara, who has been married for seven years herself. Ferris said the key to a long marriage is “giving each other space and respecting one another” and also “admitting when you are wrong, except that Margaret is never wrong!”

Margaret, too, underlined the importance of a good apology.

“If you ask Margaret she would say, ‘saying you’re sorry, except that Ferris has a hard time doing that!’” Lara told HuffPost. “If a problem came up they solved it. It was more important to compromise and move on than to be right. Two was always better than one!”

The Romaires’ wedding on Nov. 24, 1946 was a simple affair. The ceremony lasted just 15 minutes and the reception was held at the bride’s parents’ home. And for the last 70 years, Ferris and Margaret have continued to keep things simple in their hometown of Morgan City, Louisiana.

“They still live in the same home they built for a growing family 65 years ago,” Lara said. “They didn’t have lots of money, but they had lots of shared values ― the love of children, a good work ethic, a strong faith in God and a sense of humor.”

The Romaires now have four kids, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Below, more photos from their heartwarming photo shoot:

Coach Celebrates Opening of Regent Street Flagship

NEW YORK STATE OF MIND: Following the launch of its new house on Fifth Avenue last week, Coach let the good times roll with a party to mark the opening of a Regent Street flagship on Thursday night.
Located on 206 Regent Street, next door to Stuart Weitzman (which is owned by Coach) the new 27,500 square feet space showcases the brand’s new retail concept.
Designed by creative director Stuart Vevers in collaboration with William Sofield, the shop aims to embody the concept of modern luxury and focuses on customization, with stations offering monogramming and made-to-order services.
It also highlights the brand’s playful spirit, with a metallic sculpture of Rexy the dinosaur, who stomps his way across the brand’s rtw and accessories collections, at the entrance of the store. Rexy also appears in street-facing windows, in the form of a neon pink light installation.
Dancers dressed in dinosaur costumes were the main attraction for party guests, including Kate Moss, Henry Holland, Poppy Delevingne, Erin O’ Connor and Daisy Lowe.
“It feels like a home-away-from-home because my house is filled with dinosaurs. I had a sweet chat with Stuart about it and he said that the message is embracing the child within, which is great. He

It’s been one year since Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello tied the knot, and the happy couple could not be more in love.

The Modern Family star penned the most adorable one-year anniversary note to her hubby on Instagram saying, “Happy First Anniversary to the love of my life. Nothing compares to you. Te Amo. #the breakerspalmbeach I will never forget that face.”

The gorgeous couple wed last November at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida in front of close family and friends.

To celebrate one year of marriage, both Vergara and Manganiello shared throwback photos of their special day.

The pair first got together in 2014, shortly after Manganiello, 39, raved about Vergara in an interview with PEOPLE for the Hottest Bachelors issue.

The Magic Mike XXL star proposed to Vergara on Christmas Day that same year during a romantic trip to Kauai. Almost a year later, the couple wed.

The wedding festivities included a weekend full of activities, including a pool party, a lavish rehearsal dinner and a pre-wedding bash where Manganiello serenaded his bride-to-be with “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

“It was like a dream, like a fairy tale,” Vergara previously said of her nuptials during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Like, it came out perfectly like how I wanted. I have to say, the people that work helping me do the wedding – amazing!”

In another chapter in the OMG MY EYES chronicles of Kylie Jenner and Tyga, the rapper celebrated his 27th year on planet Earth by burying his face in his girlfriend’s chest and sticking his hand down her jeans for a new photoshoot.

Apparently overcompensating for Kim’s extended absence from social media is a full-time job, because Kylie shared the two topless photos on Instagram Saturday.

In one photo captioned “Happy birthday baby,” young Jenner, seated on Tyga’s lap, pulls him close to her chest, while he grabs her from behind.

Rochas Celebrates Its 90th Anniversary

NINETY CANDLES: To help celebrate its 90th anniversary this year, Rochas hosted an exhibition including vintage fashion, fragrance and advertising and a party on Wednesday in its soon-to-be-open new headquarters at 1 Rond-Point du Champs-Élysées in Paris.
“It all goes with the global intention of the brand to really push it forward and to make it much more visible,” said Stéphane Lemonnier, fashion and accessories director at Rochas.
On display were some pieces by Marcel Rochas, the label’s namesake designer, as well as creations by Peter O’Brien, Olivier Theyskens, Marco Zanini and Alessandro Dell’Acqua.
One room specifically devoted to fashion included 28 looks — dresses, pantsuits and even pajamas — shown alongside accessories and perfume. Especially in keeping with the birthday theme were a few pieces bedecked with swallow imagery from Rochas’ fall 2015 show, which marked the label’s 90 years with the print inspired by the house’s 1934 collection.
Lining the walls next door were copies of ads dating back to Rochas’ start. Kicking that off was an image from 1925, a black-and-white drawing depicting the entryway to Rochas’ headquarters framed by two fir trees.
There was also the 1936 campaign for Les Parfums Marcel Rochas framed with a colored rectangle, which originally appeared on

The short film spotlights British bloggers Katie Ellison of Mummy Daddy Me; Kat Molesworth of Housewife Confidential, and Kathryn Sharman of Kat Got The Cream, who are all shot with their children as if preparing for the first day back at school, while toting Cath Kidston’s fall bag collection, dubbed Bags to School. Jessica Simpson Brand Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

A decade in, Jessica Simpson’s label has evolved into a $ 1 billion lifestyle brand at retail, and the company has aspirations to double — or even triple — volume in the next 10 years.
Part of the route to this lofty goal includes new product lines, such as activewear and another fragrance developed especially for the decade milestone. Yehuda Shmidman, chief executive officer of Sequential Brands Group, which acquired a majority interest in the Jessica Simpson brand in April, pointed to several avenues of growth potential for the label.
“There’s growth outside America,” he said. “We’ve already had interest from several parties [for freestanding stores]. We also see certain pillar categories for the brand, such as activewear. And there are some other channels for growth, such as e-commerce and mobile commerce. We’re looking at all different ways to get the product into the hands of her customers.”
While the business has an extensive wholesale component, the e-commerce and mobile platforms need to be built. As for international options, the company hopes to capitalize on footwear’s distribution base in 55 countries. Sequential is considering markets in which it should enter or expand, and the right operating partners for various regions. Shmidman said interest has

Margot Robbie Celebrates Her Birthday As Harley Quinn On The Set Of ‘Suicide Squad’

The most surprising thing about Margot Robbie’s birthday cake on the set of “Suicide Squad” is that it actually looks edible.

The cast of the movie has been known to give each other peculiar gifts, such as the rat that Jared Leto previously sent to Robbie that was then “adopted” by other celebs, but that wasn’t the case for the actress’s birthday celebration.

Robbie, who just had a birthday July 2, shared a photo of her in Harley Quinn makeup with a caption reading, “Harley’s cake – thank you squad!”

Apollo Theater Celebrates Its Rich Legacy With 10th Annual Spring Gala

Monday night marked the 10th anniversary of the Apollo Theater’s annual Spring Gala, which was met with much fanfare.

The event, which featured a celebratory benefit concert, was hosted by Extra TV correspondent AJ Calloway and featured star-studded performances from Nile Rodgers and his pioneering disco-funk group Chic, Ne-Yo, Luke James, Rosanne Cash, “The Voice” season 8 contestant Kimberly Nichole and South African a capella trio The Soil.

During his opening monologue, Calloway shared some of his personal experiences and memories of the Apollo.

“I used to sneak into the Apollo when I was in high school,” Calloway said. “I was in [New] Jersey, my parents didn’t know I was here, but I used to watch Amateur Night so I’m very happy to be on this stage. And I started my career here. The first time I was on this stage was ‘106 & Park’ and that was 15 years ago. So I’m really, really happy to be here.”

In addition to Calloway’s return to the Apollo stage, the event also served as a homecoming for Rodgers, who landed his second professional gig performing with the theater’s house band. Prior to taking to the stage to perform a medley of Chic’s biggest hits, Rodgers opened up to The Huffington Post about the significance of headlining this year’s annual gala.

“When I played here I was 19-years-old,” Rodgers said. “I had just finished a year with ‘Sesame Street,’ which was my first professional job. And I was just telling the band how it was the first time I walked out onto this stage. It’s amazing for me to be here now, all these years later playing my own music, which is crazy.”

For Apollo Theater President & CEO, Jonelle Procope the Gala has served as an important part in the theater’s growth for the past 10 years.

“Although the Apollo is now in its 81st year, we have only been a nonprofit since 1991 and I would say it has really been over the last 10 years that the institution has experienced tremendous growth as a nonprofit with expanded artistic, educational and community programs,” Procope said to the Huffington Post.

“The Gala, which is one of our largest fundraisers, has provided crucial support toward those initiatives. It also allows us to celebrate and honor the Apollo’s rich legacy as the musical home for so many legendary artists like Nile Rodgers and the opportunity to continue that legacy as an important springboard for the next generation of artists.”

The benefit, which raises funds for the theater’s education and community outreach programs, also honored James Dolan, President and CEO of Cablevision Systems Corporation and Executive Chairman of Madison Square Garden, who accepted the Corporate Award on behalf of The Madison Square Garden Company, and Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation, who accepted the Percy C. Sutton Civic Leadership Award on behalf of The Ford Foundation.

Why #UnconventionalBlackBeauty Celebrates People Like Me

2015-06-03-1433373855-526594-lupita.jpg

Originally posted on Philly.com for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Before laying my head to rest last night, Black Twitter blessed me with something magical. Scrolling through my timeline, I noticed the hashtag #unconventionalblackbeauty, featuring photos of beautiful black faces. Not much different from #blackoutday, an online movement that celebrated black beauty, right?

Wrong.

The difference here was this was an honest discourse about how we define beauty within the black community. And I was so here for it.

In less than 24 hours, the hashtag has received a cosign from artist Talib Kweli and timelines exploded with photos of women and men with full lips, broad noses and kinky hair posing with pride. Because truthfully and ironically, a lot of times when we praise black beauty, we celebrate the features closest to Eurocentric ones.

I found myself getting emotional as someone who struggled with finding beauty in her full lips, kinky hair and broad nose. Once I found the young woman behind the hashtag, I had to call her.

Nia Evans

Seventeen-year-old Nia Evans, picture above, who just graduated from Bowie High School in Bowie, Md., last week co-created the hashtag with “How It Feels to Be A Black Girl” creator Jada Mosely.

Jada Mosely

#Unconventionalblackbeauty began after a rant Evans had about how black women are represented in the media, and what types of people are celebrated in the black community.

“I wanted this movement to show the girls who don’t get all the Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook or Twitter likes,” said Evans, who told me her “unconventional beauty” attribute was her tightly coiled 4C natural hair.

She says, if you’re aware you already are the standard of beauty, support, but don’t post.

In other words, she says, “If you know you won’t find yourself in a magazine, this is for you.”

I’ve been waiting for this since I angrily barged into my dad’s car at 10-years-old after school one day and told him I was ugly. That my nose and lips were “too big.”

My brilliant father said something I’ll never forget. “Too big compared to who? To who or what are you comparing yourself? You ever thought that maybe their lips and nose were too small?”

And it was then that middle-school-me realized that my entire concept of beauty was on a Eurocentric scale.

In the black community, we often celebrate those who are Afrocentric as long as they don’t look “too African.” The funny thing about the hashtag #unconventionalblackbeauty is that most photos were pretty conventional. But partnering these pictures with the word “beauty” has made them unconventional. For so long, black was made to conform, whether physically, mentally or spiritually. But being unapologetically black or when your facial features go against “the norm” has been, in many ways, “unconventional.”

Africa has produced some of the most diverse beauty the world has ever seen and that is fact. Our shades and phenotypes are not homogeneous. The width of a person’s nose and the deepness of skin tone do not dictate the depth of Africanness.

And yet, when we talk black beauty, we tend to exalt the Imans, Jessica Whites and Beyonces.

Lupita N’Yongo and Alek Wek would be considered unconventional black beauties and are deemed “exotic” because of it.

If you’re skin is deep, beauty is only achieved if your nose is pin straight or minuscule. Or you should have “good hair.”

It’s okay if your nose is wide as long as you have light skin and light eyes.

My sister and I would swing from one beauty icon to another, mixing and matching their features until we convinced ourselves we were visible. We clinged to the image of Rihanna because she was one of the few mainstream artists we knew with a somewhat broad nose who was considered sexy and beautiful and didn’t go under the knife to reconstruct it, even though she has light skin and light eyes. Add Keke Palmer’s skin tone, though she wore her hair straight and ours was kinky. Add Angela Bassett’s cheekbones, though her nose is a bit narrower than ours. Erykah Badu’s hair, though she, too, has light skin and light eyes. And Jill Marie Jones’ full lips, though she has a button nose. Voila! There we were.

Women with deeper skin tones would often lament that people would say, “Oh you have such beautiful skin!” But would never said that they, innately, were beautiful.

When we exalt natural hair, what kind of hair textures do we showcase?

#Unconventionalblackbeauty also acknowledges how we define black beauty when it comes to our bodies. Not every “black queen” has a figure-eight, big booty, full chest and thick thighs. Honestly, most have two/three out of four. And others are beautifully slender.

My black British friends were surprised when they came to the United States to find that black Americans looked like them. They expected to see Beyonces, Keri Hilsons and Jesse Williams roaming the streets of Philadelphia.

My mom often painfully recollects my grandmother instructing her to hold a clothespin on her nose in attempts to narrow it. This pain runs deep and is symptomatic of hundreds years of slavery, colonialism and menticide.

I love my “Serena Williams, Garcelle Beauvais, Gabrielle Union, Tika Sumpter, Viola Davis, Kimberly Elise” beauty.

The round curves of my face are soft, warm and welcoming.

It took me a long time to learn that these features weren’t born out of inferiority, but are a product of a powerful and noble lineage. I still grapple with it sometimes because it’s one thing to know it, understand it, and celebrate it. But it’s another to believe it.

Newport Folk Festival Celebrates 50 Years Since Bob Dylan Went Electric

NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) — This year’s Newport Folk Festival plans to pay tribute to the moment when Bob Dylan made rock history by going electric 50 years ago.

The festival, noted for introducing performers who later became big stars, will have a secret lineup of musicians billed as ’65 Revisited. Festival producer Jay Sweet said on Tuesday that nearly a dozen contemporary musicians are included in an “all-star lineup,” but the audience won’t know who they are until they take the stage to close the festival with a “massive” set celebrating Dylan’s 1965 performance.

Dylan first appeared at Newport as a guest of Joan Baez in 1963. His three-song electric set two years later — including “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Maggie’s Farm” — is widely viewed as one of the most pivotal moments in rock ‘n’ roll history. It marked Dylan’s break with the folk movement and spurred others to go electric as well.

The Fender Stratocaster guitar Dylan played in the performance sold at auction in 2013 for nearly $ 1 million, the highest price paid for a guitar at auction.

Dylan is not playing at this year’s festival, although Sweet said he’s invited to play every year. If there’s any year Dylan wouldn’t come, it’s Sweet’s guess it would probably be this one.

“Having him back would be the least Newport way to celebrate it,” he said.

Dylan last played Newport in 2002.

“Trying to recreate that moment is a fool’s errand,” Sweet said. “We’re about the future, not about reliving the past.”

But Sweet said without that moment, when Dylan struck out a new path for music, the Newport Folk Festival probably would not be celebrating its 56th anniversary this year.

“Every once in a while, you have to acknowledge, that allowed us to be here,” he said.

The festival runs July 24-26. Tickets are sold out for the last two days, but a few are available for the first day. Other headliners include Roger Waters and The Decemberists.

Bloomingdale’s Celebrates Style Icons in Los Angeles

LA LA LAND: After a brutal winter on the East Coast, Bloomingdale’s executives enjoyed a stylish spring break in Los Angeles. Following last fall’s style icons-themed marketing campaign that featured seven New Yorkers — including Eidos creative director Antonio Ciongoli and restaurateur Michael Chernow, as well as commentary by blogger Michael Williams from A Continuous Lean — the executives celebrated the digital initiative’s L.A. edition on Thursday night with Departures magazine.
“I always appreciated L.A. style, especially casual sportswear,” said Kevin Harter, vice president for men’s fashion direction at Bloomingdale’s. “Guys out here have a good take on individual style. We came in and did some research and found seven guys that were diverse, with different ages and different looks.”
Those diverse men included Toms founder Blake Mycoskie, art curator Franklin Sirmans, stylist Johnny Wujek, actor Manish Dayal, chef Roy Choi, eyewear designer Garrett Leight and TV production head Tom Leach.
After a shopping event at the Bloomingdale’s store in Beverly Center, where Nylon magazine cofounders Marvin and Jaclynn Jarrett dropped by, the party moved to the Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills. Still, the icons didn’t rest on their laurels. Wujek took a break from prepping Katy Perry’s wardrobe for her forthcoming concert

Frick Collection’s Young Fellows Ball Celebrates Don Quixote Exhibit

The invitation read “Don quixotic black tie,” and whether that was a typo or an intentional blending of noun and adjective, the women who arrived at The Frick Collection’s Young Fellows Ball on Thursday were decked out in flamenco ruffles and matador-inspired outfits. The theme, “A Dance at the Spanish Court,” took inspiration from the museum’s special exhibition Coypel’s Don Quixote Tapestries: Illustrating a Spanish Novel in Eighteenth-Century France. Many were dressed by Lanvin, the evening’s sponsor, including chairmen Lydia Fenet Delaney, Elizabeth Kurpis, and Amory McAndrew. “I always love the Frick [gala], seeing what everyone’s wearing. People really dress for the theme, unlike many other parties,” Delaney said. “The setting lends itself to being really dramatically dressed,” McAndrew piped in. Adding to the drama—or the Instagram fodder at least—were customized fans emblazoned with “Lanvin [hearts] the Frick” in gold cursive. Guests playfully hid behind the accessory for photographers circling, and, later in the night, to add a little extra flair to their dance moves.

Nicky Haslam Celebrates New Book

CHEERS FOR NICKY: On a cold night in New York City, Lee Radziwill, regal, resilient, impeccably coiffured, was keeping warm in a corner of La Grenouille. She cut through an intimate space heaving with a distinguished crowd — Carolina and Reinaldo Herrera, Mercedes Bass, Mica Ertegun, Mark Lyall Grant, the British ambassador to the United Nations — to reach her destination, right by the side of Nicky Haslam. The interior designer has just published another coffee-table book — a collection of reminisces, clippings and sketches titled “A Designer’s Life” — and so it was time again for another gathering of his long-devoted fan club, New York chapter.
The leader of this cheering squad is, indisputably, Radziwill.
“He’s terribly witty, terribly well-read,” she said, sounding like she could have gone on for a lot longer. They first met in London and Haslam later stayed at her home in Sicily during the summers, one of several memories he revisits in a book covering 75 years of his life.
Radziwill herself couldn’t remember where or when they first met, though she does recall those Italian summers, but it was clear that the reason for their long friendship is a mutual admiration for each other. “He’s stayed
