Rihanna Slips into Seductive Black Corset to Preview Her Savage x Fenty Lingerie Line: ‘Damn’

It looks like Rihanna is throwing it back to her “S&M” days.

The songstress has been showing off her flair for fashion design for years with Puma, but now she’s turning her attention to what can’t be worn in public. On Sunday, she teased a sultry look from her upcoming lingerie collection, Savage x Fenty, via Instagram.

Rihanna poses in a strapless black corset paired with buttons up the front and a bow detail, placing her perfectly manicured hand over her forehead to cast a shadow on her face. She also sports lacy panties, thigh-high stockings and gold jewelry.

#DAMN,” she captioned the snap. “@savagexfenty drops in FIVE DAYZ !! MAY.11.2018”

The most important factor when designing her lingerie line was making all women feel like they could confidently rock it, the 30-year-old singer told Vogue for their June cover story. In Instagram posts teasing the collection, she showed off her designs on models of all shapes and sizes.

“You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies,” she told Vogue. “I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”

In addition to making the project size inclusive, Rihanna also made sure to incorporate a diverse shade range in her collection of nude lingerie too — just as she did with her makeup line.

“As a black woman, I could not live with myself if I didn’t do that,” she told the magazine about producing a wide range of colors for Fenty Beauty. “But what I didn’t anticipate was the way people would get emotional about finding their complexion on the shelf, that this would be a groundbreaking moment.”

“Savage is really about taking complete ownership of how you feel and the choices you make. Basically making sure everybody knows the ball is in your court,” Rihanna told Vogue. “As women, we’re looked at as the needy ones, the naggy ones, the ones who are going to be heartbroken in a relationship. Savage is just the reverse. And you know, guys don’t like getting the cards flipped on the — ever.”

Harambe and ‘Damn Daniel’ Among The Memes That Won The Internet In 2016

2016 has widely been considered a tough year. But not all of 2016 was a downer. The Internet, as it often does, has provided plenty of hilarity in the form of viral memes to lighten things up.

We took a look at Google’s 2016 search trends and found the top 10 most sought-after memes of the year. From Harambe memes to the angry Michael Phelps face, these Internet creations will go down in online history as classics.

1. Harambe

When Harambe the gorilla was shot in order to protect a small child who had wandered into his enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo, public outrage ensued. The Internet, however, had other plans for Harambe, and used the incident as the basis for a series of viral memes that were hard to miss on social media, making Harambe the top trending meme of the year.

It’s no surprise that a meme making light of an animal’s death caused quite a bit of controversy, especially with the Cincinnati Zoo. The zoo deleted its social media accounts amidst a barrage of Harambe memes. During the 2016 presidential election, people even joked that they voted for Harambe as a candidate.

2. Damn Daniel

The “Damn Daniel” trend all started with a viral tweet, which featured a video of teenager Daniel Lara in his white Vans sneakers. Throughout the clip, Lara’s friend comments on his shoes, saying “damn Daniel.” You have to watch it to truly understand why this is Internet gold, and the second top trending meme of the year

3. Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is not only the top Google search of 2016, it is also the third most viral meme of the year. With the game’s U.S. release on July 6, it makes sense that only a few weeks later, the Internet had already gone to work creating memes.

4. Dat Boi

It’s difficult to trace the origin of “Dat Boi,” the meme featuring an animated frog on a unicycle, but several sources believe it was inspired by an older meme on Tumblr from 2015. While pinpointing the source for its popularity is tricky, “Dat Boi” skyrocketed to viral fame in May 2016, when the vast majority of the “Dat Boi” memes were created.

Adding even more humor to this meme, it appears the image may have come from a physics textbook, according to this Twitter user’s discovery:

5. SpongeBob Caveman

Perhaps one of the most visually hilarious meme trends of the year was SpongeBob Caveman, also known as Primitive Sponge. For any SpongeBob SquarePants fans out there, you’ll likely remember the 1999 caveman episode that created the magical creature that is SpongeGar. Fast forward to May 2016, when a Reddit user decided to bring back SpongeGar, sparking the viral meme trend that is now known as SpongeBob Caveman. This timing explains why a spike in Google searches for the meme started in late May.

6. Michael Phelps

If you watched the Rio Olympics, you’re likely familiar with the angry Michael Phelps meme. When the camera featured Phelps’ face in the holding room, as he was listening to music and preparing for his 200m butterfly semifinal, the Internet immediately moved to meme-ify the moment.

What resulted from this unintentional death stare was a series of memes that we are certainly not going to forget anytime soon.

7. Donald Trump

The Donald Trump memes started trending during the first presidential debate in September, and saw its biggest spike in Google searches in early November, when the election took place. Largely created as a response against Trump’s policies and statements, this meme trend was met with controversy from Trump supporters.

8. “Making A Murderer”

The Netflix original documentary “Making A Murderer” left many viewers convinced that Steven Avery was framed and innocent. This inspired a series of comedic memes in his support. Google searches for the memes spiked around mid-January, about a month after the show premiered on December 18.

9. Ken Bone

During the second U.S. presidential debate on September 29, undecided voters had the chance to ask candidates their questions directly. Ken Bone inquired about the candidates’ energy policies, and immediately became an Internet sensation.

The memes started rolling out within the next few days, causing a spike in Google searches.

10. Birdman

During an appearance on the radio show “The Breakfast Club,” rapper Birdman went on a rant and abruptly walked off the show, thus sparking yet another viral meme trend. The first to poke fun at the awkward interview was an Instagram user who uploaded an edited version of the video, with Michael Jordan’s crying face over Birdman’s:

Why Your Prescription Takes So Damn Long To Fill: A Foul-Mouthed, Liberal Pharmacist Breaks The Curse Of Christmas And Strikes Back Against

…. I call your doctors office and am put on hold for 5 minutes, then informed that your prescription was phoned in to my competitor on the other side of town. Phoning the competitor, I am immediately put on hold for 5 minutes before speaking to a clerk, who puts me back on hold to wait for the pharmacist. Your prescription is then transferred to me, and now I have to get the 2 phone calls that have been put on hold while this was being done. Now I return to the counter to ask if we’ve ever filled prescriptions for you before. For some reason, you think that “for you” means “for your cousin” and you answer my question with a “yes”, whereupon I go the computer and see you are not on file. The phone rings…” That’s part of the reason why your prescription takes so long to fill, and after almost 20 years of this, a question I was never quite able to answer loomed larger and larger each day: “Why did I get into this profession?” Cranky customers whose only questions seem to involve their insurance co-pays. Pointless paperwork. People begging for early narcotic refills. Staff cuts. That was my workday. The struggle to get people the medicine and information they needed seemed almost futile at times. Then one day I got the answer. It hit me like a ton of bricks while driving home one spring evening along the California coast. I was born again, but it had nothing to do with Jesus. It did have a lot to do with a little plastic motorcycle. And I did become

Couple Married 81 Years: ‘You’re Damn Right’ We’re Still In Love

After 81 years of marriage, Dale and Alice Rockey still haven’t lost their spark.

“You don’t see them together without holding hands,” their son Tom Rockey told Kansas City’s FOX 4 News.

On Saturday, the Rockeys were honored by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a Christian group based in San Bernardino, California, as part of the organization’s 2015 Longest Married Couple Project. The title is based on nominations, so this does not make the pair the indisputable longest-married couple in the country — just the longest-married among the 375 nominees.

The Rockeys — who tied the knot on December 29, 1933 — grew up just a couple blocks from each other in Hemingford, Nebraska. According to the Kansas City Star, their romance began one afternoon before a double date they had planned — but Alice was supposed to be going with another guy and Dale with another girl.

When the other girl was still at work, Dale Rockey pulled up in front of Alice’s house. She was sitting on the front porch.

“He came by and says, ‘You want to go for a ride?’” recalled Alice Rockey. “So we went for a ride, and that was our first date.”

The pair went on to have five sons, 15 grandkids, 28 great-grandkids and six great-great grandchildren.

When asked on Saturday, “Do you still love each other after all this time?”, Dale replied with a laugh, “You’re damn right!”

For more on their love story, watch the video above or head over to the Kansas City Star.

This Dude Makes Proposing At Bonnaroo Look Pretty Damn Romantic

John Ferreira knew he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Catherine Mauro at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival after the two attended last year and absolutely fell in love with the experience.

“It’s one of the few places on earth where you can just remain in the moment instead of worrying about work or bills,” he told HuffPost Weddings of the Manchester, Tenn. festival. “There is just an overall sense of freedom there, it’s just magical.”

Six months ago, Ferreira turned to his friends on Reddit for help with the proposal. And help they did — all the way from conception to execution. Below, he explains how it all went down:

And like the courteous festivalgoer he is, Ferreira made sure to pop the question early on so that no one who was helping out would have to miss any of the weekend’s main events. Good call, Ferreira.

Watch the entire proposal unfold in the video below.

How Long Do I Have to Keep These Damn Heels on?!

Stilettos, red carpet award shows, black tie events and women wondering, “How long do I have to keep these damn heels on!” That is every woman’s battle cry. Do I want to look good or feel good? Women have had a love/hate relationship with their heels for as long as they have been wearing them. They are seduced by how great they make them look and struggle with how painful they can be when walking down the street or out for an evening of dinner and dancing.

However, no matter what designer you’re wearing these days or whether you are wearing backless heels, peep toe heels, 6 inch stilettos or high heels the common denominator for all women is my feet are killing me in these things. Emma Thompson expressed how she felt about her heels when she walked on stage bare foot to accept her Golden Globe award with her Christian Louboutins in hand and then threw them over her back noting that the color red referred to the color of her feet when wearing those shoes. Ouch!

A recent article in FN SPY indicated that Lena Dunham wore a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for the New York premiere of her HBO show’s third season and quickly set aside the heels during her introduction to the screening because she felt more comfortable.

According to an article that was published on The Huffington Post by Ellie Krupnick recently entitled, “It’s OK To Hate Wearing High Heels (Just Take It From These Famous Women)”, she states, “Quietly but assuredly, several famous women have been waging their own mini battles against high heels — and winning. Here are eight women who are proving that being a woman doesn’t have to mean loving high heels.”

As a podiatrist, I understand the reasons why high heels can be so damaging to your feet; the question is do you?

The major reason your feet will hurt when wearing high heels are because of design issues of the shoe and the shape of your foot. Feet come in all varieties of shapes and sizes and shoes only come in sizes and widths. The designs as well as the shape of the foot are the trigger mechanisms. Add in variables such as abnormal foot biomechanics, structural misalignment of the bones and joints in the foot and “Bam!!”… high heels become “Satan shoes” according to Jennifer Lawrence. The pitch of the shoe can be too steep placing the ball of your foot directly on the floor of the shoe and throws your body out of balance. Tripping and falling can sometimes occur especially if one is wearing clothing that is restricting movement. The greater the pitch or angle the more pressure is felt on the ball of the foot which can cause a burning pain or metatarsalgia. Shoes that lack proper cushioning in the toe box accelerate this problem because of the thin leather outer-soles most shoes have. Arch cramps and muscle spasms are another problem that is a result of wearing high heels. The muscles in the arch of the foot fatigue when walking or standing because of the lack of arch support in high heels. If you have bunions, bone spurs, or hammertoe problems, high heels with a narrow toe box will place pressure on the tops and sides of the toes which causes blisters, corns and joint pain.

So does this mean, “Wear at your own risk should be printed on every shoe box”?

Since that will never happen there are ways to improve the comfort of your fashion footwear and not have to wonder “how long do I have to keep those damn shoes on?” There are many types of inexpensive arch support products, prefabricated orthotics and custom-made orthotics available to women today. They can be found through the Internet, stores that sell over-the-counter foot products and by medical professionals such as podiatrists. These products do not have to break the bank in order to make all the different styles of fashion footwear, high heels and stilettos more comfortable to wear. They will instantly support the arch, take pressure off the ball of the foot and reduce the pitch angle of the shoe. However, in order to make sure they fit properly in your shoes bring a pair with you when you’re shopping for the supports because some products may be too bulky for the shoe. Adding a soft inner insole made of foam can also reduce burning pain on the ball of the foot.

So to Jennifer Lawrence and all the women who complain about how they hate wearing these dreaded “Satan shoes” do not despair — you can! “And she walked happily ever after.”
