Swedish Label Odd Molly Gears Up for U.S. Expansion

Odd Molly, a Scandinavian label inspired by the California lifestyle, has set its sights on the U.S. for major expansion.
To try to make inroads, the company will be showing at MAGIC for the first time. Started in 2002, the omnichannel retail company has 60 freestanding stores, 600 wholesale accounts and distribution in nearly 40 countries through its own e-commerce site. Indicative of its Stockholm roots, the brand is known for its bold colors and unexpected patterns in sportswear, accessories and bedding.
Women’s empowerment, not surprisingly, is key — as well as sustainability the Nasdaq Stockholm-traded company was initially inspired by a Los Angeles skater girl from the Eighties, who beats her own drum and has a lot of integrity. The collection features an assortment of apparel, accessories and bedding in a bold mix of colors and patterns. Ribbed sweaters, knit jackets, bikinis, tank tops, a no-frills baseball cap, towels, shoes, lingerie, robes and sheets are among the offerings.
Through MAGIC, Odd Molly wants to get into not just specialty stores, but major department stores for spring 2019, a company spokeswoman said.
The company also has an Instagram shop to expedite shopping for consumers. Odd Molly has freestanding U.S. stores in Colorado: Vail, Aspen,

Muytjens Switches Gears, Opens Inn in Berkshires

Frank Muytjens has traded fashion for hospitality.
The former men’s chief has partnered with artist and entrepreneur Scott Edward Cole to open a luxury bed-and-breakfast inn in the Berkshires. Called the Inn at Kenmore Hall, it will open today.
The inn at 1385 State Road in Richmond, Mass., is a 6,675-square-foot, 18th-century estate that has been restored and modernized while conserving its historical Georgian architecture. It sits on 20 acres of woodlands, orchards and gardens in a town that is around two-and-a-half hours from Manhattan and one-and-a-half hours from Boston.
The inn will have five luxury rooms, each with a working wood-burning fireplace. There is also a one-bedroom carriage house suite with living room, kitchenette, sleeper sofa and private outdoor seating area. Pricing ranges from $ 450 to $ 650 a night.
“The minute we saw the property, we both knew that it would be our next endeavor,” Muytjens said. “Scott and I love the fact that the house has fostered so many artistic explorations. The deep-rooted creative history, combined with the stunning classical proportions of the Georgian architecture, is grand but not imposing. We have worked to preserve the architectural integrity, but imbue the inn with modern luxury.”
He added that after parting ways with J. Crew,

Sean John Gears Up for International Expansion

Almost a year ago, Global Brands acquired a majority stake in Sean John, the brand started by Sean “Diddy” Combs that will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. The main premise of the deal was to expand the line’s global presence, which Jeff Tweedy, Sean John’s president, said will begin in 2018. As the Sean John team prepares to grow the company internationally, they are focusing on broadening the assortment and fine tuning its marketing.
Tweedy has tapped two Atlanta musicians to lead its holiday and spring marketing campaigns entitled “Dream Big.” They are Jacquees, the singer behind “B.E.D.,” whose real name is Rodriquez Broadnax, and YFN Lucci, the rapper behind “Everyday We Lit,” whose real name is Rashawn Bennett.
“We wanted to talk about fashion again. So this new campaign is fashiontainment,” Tweedy said. “We follow these guys on Instagram and their platforms are less about music and more about fashion. They have these amazing careers and we just feel like this young customer is paying attention to what they wear.”
The firm is also broadening its collection and they’ve hired Scott Langton, who was the original designer of the brand, as vice president of design. Langton, who worked for Sean John from

Gears of War

Gears of War

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Gears of War is a 2006 third-person shooter video game developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It was initially released as an exclusive title for the Xbox 360 in November in North America, Australia, and most of Europe and included a “Limited Collector’s Edition” with added content and an art book titled Destroyed Beauty that detailed much of the game’s back-story. Despite the initial statements of Xbox 360 exclusivity, a Microsoft Windows version of the game was developed in conjunction with People Can Fly and released a year later, featuring new content including additional campaign levels and a new multiplayer game mode. The game centers on the soldiers of Delta Squad as they fight to save the human inhabitants of the fictional planet Sera from a relentless subterranean enemy known as the Locust Horde. The player assumes the role of Marcus Fenix, a former prisoner and war-hardened soldier. The game is based on the use of cover and strategic fire for the player to advance through the scenarios; a second player can play cooperatively through the main campaign to assist. The game also features several online multiplayer game modes for up to eight players.
