Reebok’s Todd Krinsky Heads Up New Performance Business Unit

A MEASURED PERFORMANCE: Like other, more established athletic brand competitors, Reebok’s heritage is rooted in performance and now the company has set up a division dedicated to that — the Reebok Performance Business Unit.
At the helm of that sector is 25-year company veteran Todd Krinsky who has been named general manager. The brand’s running and training business units have been consolidated into its new Performance Business Unit. Fittingly, Krinsky earned his post for his own performance as general manager of Reebok’s Classic Business Unit. Leading that business, he helped to generate double-digit percentage gains for year-on-year growth over the past six years. Krinsky reports to Reebok president Matt O’Toole.
Big-name branding has been a key part of Reebok’s Classic Business’ upward climb. Gigi Hadid is the latest celebrity to appear in Reebok’s “Always Classic” campaign. With the spring campaign, the IMG model joined the ranks of Ariana Grande, Rae Sremmurd, Teyana Taylor, Lil Yachty, K-pop star Somi, street artists Felipe Pantone and SANY and model Sharina Gutierrez. Interestingly, Reebok’s Performance Unit will take on more of a lifestyle edge. Noting how the company has developed “strong credibility in the fitness world” in recent years, Krinsky said, “Today, our Delta symbol serves

Parfums Christian Dior Heads to Arles for Photo Show

PICTURE PERFECT: Parfums Christian Dior is supporting the LUMA Foundation’s photography archive program, which this year is honoring Annie Leibovitz during its Les Rencontres de la Photographie international festival in Arles, France, that runs from July 3 to Sept. 24.
As part of this, Dior is backing a retrospective called “Annie Leibovitz: The Early Years 1970-1983 / Archive Project #1.” It involves 8,000 black-and-white photos from her series taken in New York in the Seventies.
As a first in Arles, the house also is opening a space in the Galerie du Cloître, titled “Dior, The Art of Color,” which takes its name and some images from a book released in the fall. That tome showcases creations from Dior’s makeup maestros — including Peter Philips and Tyen – inspired by 12 hues, which are photographed by the likes of Richard Burbridge or Guy Bourdin and linked to major works of art from John Malevich, Jean Cocteau and Andy Warhol, among others.

Films by Serge Luten — who in 1967 became Dior’s first artistic and image director for makeup — are also on display.
Dior’s connection to color cosmetics harks back to 1949, with the launch of its lipsticks, Rouge Dior.

Anthony Bourdain Heads to Antarctica on Parts Unknown to Find Out What People Eat at the Bottom of the World

Anthony Bourdain is heading to the bottom of the world to explore the last continent on his travel bucket list.

In a sneak peek at Sunday’s episode of Parts Unknown, the host travels to Antarctica to explore how people there live, and of course, eat. While visiting the southernmost continent, Bourdain speaks with local scientists, contractors and U.S. military about what they consume in the coldest, windiest and driest place on Earth. Hint: A lot of warm meals.

“Every Friday for four weeks is New York strips, and on the fifth week we do filet mignon and crab legs,” a resident tells Bourdain. “We eat pretty good down here considering where we are. We don’t really do fancy food, we just do basic food well.”

Despite the weather not being great for growing fresh produce (or “freshies” as the locals call them), Bourdain discovers they know how to get around that problem by using a lot of canned or frozen food.

The 60-year-old is seen indulging in some hearty homemade meals, including Reuben egg rolls, BBQ pork tenderloin and fresh sourdough bread.

Erika Jayne Hospitalized: RHOBH Star Heads into Surgery for Secret Dancing with the Stars Injury

Erika Jayne has been keeping a secret.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also known as Erika Girardi sustained an injury during her run on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars.

Girardi, 45, posted Instagram Stories this morning chronicling a surgical procedure she had for an upper body tear, according to TMZ, that sidelined her from DWTS’ finale on Monday.

Ever the “showgirl,” Girardi joked in one shot that the “hospital lighting is amazing.”

In another, she wears a surgical head covering that obscures her flowing blonde hair, and a third picture shows the well-manicured nails on her right hand, which has been stuck with an IV needle and clamped by a pulse monitor.

Girardi was eliminated fourth from Dancing after she struggled with letting herself loose in the ballroom — a shock to many fans, considering her dance music performing persona Erika Jayne is known for flashy, sexy performances and skintight costumes.

Girardi’s five-week DWTS run followed an emotional roller coaster of a season on RHOBH, which culminated in her melting down over a comment about her son before having several fiery exchanges with nemesis Dorit Kemsley and Kemsley’s husband PK about a misguided joke that developed into a full-on war.

But Girardi was having a more cordial exchange with Chrissy Teigen when the 31-year-old model joked the her age was “Icy Hot patch wearer” and the reality star replied: “Same.”

Bravo had no comment.

NEXT STOP, CUBA: For the sixth edition of the upcoming Art Wynwood, eco-friendly fashion designer Luis Valenzuela has created pieces inspired by Cuban artist Cundo Bermúdez. Paris Hilton Heads to Coachella in a See-Through Lace Dress (and Cat Ears!)

It’s warm and sunny at the Coachella music festival this weekend and Paris Hilton has a flowing dress to match the weather.

The heiress, 35, headed to the Indio, California, event in a loose, see-through black lace maxi dress, along with black flats and shades and twin braids in her hair.

The outfit was clearly comfortable, too, as Hilton was seen twirling and jumping on the festival grounds (with phone in hand).

But the former Simple Life star hasn’t been the only celebrity at Coachella — or the only one making a fashion statement. Taylor Swift is attending the festival, which kicked off Friday, for the first time, along with her squad (Lorde, Jack Antonoff and others) and her newly bleached-blonde hair. And Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been spotted a few times by festivalgoers.

Hilton had a Swift-like squad of her own: “#Blondetourage #Killingit at #Coachella” she captioned a Friday photo of her group; writing with another shot, “#SquadGoals.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be the complete Coachella experience until someone found a pair of cat ears and a blow-up unicorn.

The Annoying Kids’ Songs Parents Can’t Get Out Of Their Heads, Remixed

One unexpected consequence of raising little kids is the never-ending repetition of annoying kids’ songs that get stuck in your head and cause you to sing things like “Zooming through the sky, Little Einsteins” when you’re all alone.

In his latest “New Father Chronicles” video, dad La Guardia Cross put together a video of parents singing those irritatingly addictive songs, which have “brainwashed” them for life.

It’s a delightful medley of lines like “This is the song that never ends,” “Doc McStuffins, Doc McStuffins” and “If you’re happy and you know it!”

Cross’ caption sums up this source of parental anguish: “These songs haunt our dreams. Help us.”

Michelle Obama Heads to Cambodia

FLOTUS IN SEASON: After sharing the ins and outs of her “Let Girls Learn” initiative with Akin Abe, the wife of Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Michelle Obama touched down in Cambodia Friday to spread the word with another fellow First Lady Bun Rany. FLOTUS stepped off Air Force One wearing a Carolina Herrera sleeveless silk printed dress in a red carnation print from the designer’s spring collection.
Obama is in the midst of a five-day tour to bolster the initiative which aims to help educate the estimated 62 million girls who do not attend school in 11 countries targeted by the administration. A Princeton and Harvard Law alum, the First Lady has repeatedly emphasized the value of her own education when speaking publicly during President Obama’s tenure. Having started and run her own company for more than three decades, the self-taught Herrera, a mother of four daughters, certainly can appreciate the First Lady’s efforts to try to better the lives of other girls through learning and perseverance.
