Kiton Men’s Fall 2019

“Respect” was one of the words spelled out on the walls of the Kiton showroom in Milan. “We must not forget where we come from,” said chief executive officer Antonio De Matteis. “I think too many are losing their way.”
To avoid that trap, Kiton’s core customer remains central to the brand and he is a global traveler—whether for business or pleasure. And that man needs a light, deconstructed suit that can be pulled out of a suitcase without any fuss. “Formal wear becomes smart casual clothing,” said De Matteis. One that comes with price tags that can reach between 30,000 and 50,000 euros in the case of soft vicuña jackets.
Exclusive fabrics continued to add new touches to Kiton’s staple Prince of Wales or houndstooth jackets. Four-ply cashmere jackets and hoodie shirts stood out, flanked by military styles similar to parkas with fur collars or reversible quilted jackets and a cashmere coat lined in weasel, nutria or mink combined with a double face garment with an extractable fleece lining.
Mariano and Walter De Matteis, the twin brothers and sons of the ceo, presented the third collection of their KNT line, which employs the same premium fabrics as Kiton but with a sportier

Kiton Opening Shop at Wynn Resort in Vegas

Kiton is expanding its retail presence in the U.S. market.
The Italian luxury brand on Friday will open a 1,937-square-foot boutique at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas.
The store will feature a new design that is centered around the brand’s exclusive fabric collection. For example, the chairs and sofas, furniture and curtains are all created from the fabrics also used for clothing. Walnut wood, similar to that used at the Kiton headquarters in Arzano, Italy, and its Palazzo Kiton in Milan, is used as an accent, and special pieces of artwork commissioned for the store will serve to decorate the space.
The store will sell the men’s and women’s apparel collections as well as accessories. It will also offer Kiton’s bespoke service with a special selection of products that are exclusive to the Las Vegas store.
Kiton, which has been in the U.S. market since 1980, has 20 retail stores or in-store shops in this country.

Kiton Celebrates KNT Line

NEW YORK — Antonio De Matteis, the chief executive officer of Kiton, looked on like a proud father as his twin sons, Mariano and Walter De Matteis, explained their collection KNT, short for Kiton New Textures, which hit stores Thursday night.
“It’s all their vision,” said Antonio, wearing a suit at the Kiton flagship here while his sons wore the more relaxed styles from the KNT collection.
The line utilizes the same premium fabrics as Kiton, but the collection, which is the same price point, is much sportier. The brothers showcased jackets, joggers, shirts and sneakers. The textile patterns are inspired by urban architecture and the color palette is mostly black, white, gray and blue. For now, the pieces are showcased in a small space in front of the Kiton store. The twins said they are attempting to cater to the existing Kiton customer and bring in a new one.
“We love creating new paths, discovering and exploiting opportunities where others only see obstacles,” said Mariano. Walter added: “We are honest to ourselves, respectful of our own historical DNA and of our own spirit without compromise.”
