YouTube Star Eva Gutowski Just Launched Her Debut Clothing Line

Eva Gutowski, known for her captivating YouTube channel MyLifeAsEva, has quickly become one of the biggest vloggers, with more than 8 million subscribers at only 22 years old.

For the past four years, fans have closely followed along with Gutowski’s addicting fashion, beauty and lifestyle videos. Her content spans from how to survive your first high school relationship, her morning beauty routine, travel vlogs and plenty more.

But now, Gutowski’s job description goes far beyond “YouTuber.” In February, the star published her first book, My Life as Eva: The Struggle is Real, an autobiography about the ups and downs of her first 21 years of life. She got into acting when she starred in the lightly scripted YouTube series, How to Survive High School, and now has an even bigger accomplishment under her belt: clothing designer.

Gutowski just announced the launch of her seasonal clothing collection — called It’s All Wild — that’s inspired by the influencer’s favorite travel destinations around the world.

The inaugural collection features a mix of timeless, minimalistic essentials that can be incorporated into anyone’s wardrobe: a classic tee, Bardot shorts, a neck scarf and more!

“Whether you’re at the beach, walking the city streets or cuddled up at home, the Adventure Is Here collection has everything you need to look fabulous while doing it,” reads the website’s description of it.

“This is a project I’ve been so motivated to launch for years,” Gutowski said. “Travel and timelessness mean everything to me, and making clothes that resonate with the modern it-girl is what I knew I needed to do.”

Going forward, Gutowski plans to continue adding more stylish collections, which will be named after the destination the styles were inspired by. Her first capsule is available for pre-order on ItsAllWild.com right now, and the pieces expected to ship out by August 15.

Woolmark x Lane Crawford Collection Launched in Shanghai

SHANGHAI — Chinese designer brands Helen Lee and Particle Fever designed capsule collections with a “Sport x Fashion” theme in collaboration with The Woolmark Co. and department store Lane Crawford.
The collections, along with an accompanying campaign fronted by model He Sui, were launched at a Saturday night event at Shanghai’s Lane Crawford store in the shopping street Huaihai Road.
Prior to the event Helen Lee, whose brand has been a mainstay of China’s fashion scene for a decade and was one of the first Chinese labels picked up by Lane Crawford, told WWD that over the past two years young Chinese consumers have been seeking more balance by taking up an active lifestyle and now need the clothes to match.
“In China, people weren’t that into sport, but lately it’s become more popular for people to look for this kind of lifestyle,” she said.
“It’s mainly young people and people caring about their health. Especially in the urban environment, people work really hard and they want to get out and have a better balance in their life.”
It’s a trend that has also been noticed by Lane Crawford, with chief brand officer Joanna Gunn optimistic about the future of the category among Chinese consumers.

Natalia Castellar Was Bullied For Her Eyebrows, Then They Launched Her Modeling Career

Our unique features make us beautiful, but it can be hard to see them that way.

As a kid growing up in Virginia, Natalia Castellar was bullied “terribly” for her long, thick eyebrows. The Puerto Rican-born 17-year-old says things got so bad, she almost shaved them down.

“I had a lot of self-esteem issues,” Castellar told HuffPost. “It was very difficult for me to embrace myself.”

Thanks to a supportive family, Castellar gradually learned to love her brows. Then her sister posted shots of her on a photography blog, W reports, and a fan base grew. Castellar recently signed a modeling contract with the influential agency Next Models.

The eyebrows she once saw as a blemish are now her defining feature. 

“My eyebrows are a total advantage,” Castellar said. “They aren’t the only thing that make me a great model, but they play a huge role in attracting attention from both fans and potential clients.”

So far, Castellar has modeled for Nars and Mansur Gavriel, with more projects on the way. She says fans are often surprised to learn that her signature brows require so little maintenance

“Many people assume that I have an eyebrow routine that I follow, but I really don’t do anything besides brush them,” she told W Magazine.

Castellar also makes it a point to tell her followers that insecurities are normal; it’s how you think about them that counts.

“We need to realize that just because someone’s beauty is different than our own doesn’t mean we’re not beautiful,” she told HuffPost. “We need to embrace our diversity and celebrate what makes us, us!”

PETA’s Launched Its Own Line of Faux-Leather Shoes

PETA‘s never been shy about letting the fashion world know it would prefer animal by-products like fur and leather not be used for clothing and accessories. Now it’s offering up an alternative of its very own, partnering with M4D3 on a line of vegan leather slip-on espadrilles.

“Creating cruelty-free footwear options that are just as stylish as they are kind to animals and the planet is a vision that M4D3 and PETA share,” M4D3 president Steve Reynolds said in a statement on PETA’s website. The shoes are a limited-edition creation and are currently available for preorder (they cost $ 60, but are currently reduced to a promotional rate of $ 50). Part of the proceeds will go to support PETA.
