Nazr Mohammed, Mike Magee, Joe Minoso Walk the Runway in Chicago

FOR A CAUSE: It’s not every day that pro athletes share the runway with TV personalities, philanthropists, socialites and even kids, but that was the case at the 89th annual Woman’s Board of Rush University Fashion Show last Thursday at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago’s West Loop. Wearing looks from retailers like Chalk, P. 45, Neapolitan Collection and auctioneer Leslie Hindman, models included Chicago Bulls’ Nazr Mohammed; former Chicago Bear Hunter Hillenmeyer; Chicago Fire soccer player Mike Magee; “Chicago Fire” TV star Joe Minoso; Brittney Payton of WGN’s “Chicago’s Best”; Sarah Spain of ESPN Radio and other leading Chicagoans.
“This annual fundraising event is about fashion bringing together members of our community to raise money for cancer treatment,” said Sarah Bogan, fashion show chair. “It was great to see the families and friends of our models cheer them on as they walked the runway.”
About $ 500,000 was raised to support Bioinformatics, which combines the latest in computer science, statistics and mathematics with medical research for individualized cancer treatment. This was the fifth year of the Woman’s Board’s five-year commitment to raise $ 2.5 million for the Rush Cancer Center. Considered the longest running charitable fashion show in the country, the Woman’s Board Fashion Show
