WATCH: Veteran Reunited with Beloved Service Dog Stolen During Move

The stress of a big move from Illinois to Florida was amplified for U.S. Marine veteran Lanasu Whitner and her husband Tim when Lanasu’s service dog Wrigley was stolen, along with the couple’s car.

According to ABC News, the Whitners were stopped at an Indianapolis gas station when three individuals rushed up behind the vehicle while both the Whitners were outside of it, jump inside and drove off — with Wrigley.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident and quickly posted a call for help on its Facebook page, asking locals to keep an eye out for Wrigley, a Rhodesian Ridgeback that Lanasu got to help with her seizures and migraines.

There was a break in the case when the Whitners’ SUV was recovered, but unfortunately, the service dog was not inside.

Thankfully, shortly after finding the vehicle, sightings of Wrigley started to trickle in to the Whitners and the IMPD. The military couple, who met on a mission 20 years ago, started to search the area where the car was found, in hopes that they would find Wrigley themselves.

After they turned up nothing, the Whitners decided to place a few articles of their clothing around the area where a skittish Wrigley was spotted by locals, in hopes the service dog would recognize the scent and reveal himself.

It turns out the nose knows: Wrigley eventually sniffed out one of the shirts and was reunited with his family, who wasn’t too far away. The touching reunion was caught on video.

The clip shows Wrigley eagerly bounding toward his owners and happily accepting kisses and pats.

So far the IMPD has apprehended two of the suspects from the car theft and is still searching for the third, but the Whitners, especially Lanasu, are just happy to have their best friend back in their arms.

Spyder’s Move to Water Sports

FROM LAND TO SEA: Activewear brand Spyder, whose roots date back to 1978 as a skiwear brand, is moving to water sports with a swimwear collection. The line for men, women and kids were introduced to buyers this week at Miami Swim Week, and is slated to be available in spring 2019 in key sports specialty stores and department stores. The line features performance fabrications that allow the styles to dry faster than other options in the market, according to Authentic Brands Group, which acquired the brand in August 2013.
The men’s line had a soft launch this summer at select specialty doors. It includes key pieces for outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, surfing and wakeboarding. The line includes short-sleeve rash guards, and colorblocked swim trunks. Because the short is constructed from hydrophobic stretch fabrics, they also can be worn as a boardshort.
Since its founding, Spyder has branched out from just skiwear to include performance designs for sports ranging from cycling to baseball. The move to water sports is a natural extension for the brand. And last month, the brand presented a lifestyle collection for the first time during Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The lifestyle collection is called “Off-Shore,” as it

Reebok’s Former Creative Director Thomas Steinbrück Talks Shop, Ready for His Next Move

IT’S ALL GOOD: Rejuvenating in Switzerland now that his two-year run as Reebok’s creative director is over, Thomas Steinbrück said he is gearing up for his next post with a European company. With that announcement expected to happen in the next few weeks, he was relishing some down time with his mother. “It’s so calm. There’s nothing — just mountains, quietness, cows, fresh air, good food and I sleep like a baby here. A week is like five weeks of vacation on the beach for me,” he said.
With Reebok, he lined up the collaborations with Vetements and Cottweiler, among others. He said he oversaw a 50-person team handling graphics, creative direction and colors, but was holistically influencing more than 100 people, including the design team for shoes, apparel and Reebok Classic, among others. Steinbrück said, “I loved what I was doing. I loved that brand. I loved the team. The people are awesome there. The story of the company is incredible. I learned a lot.”
He also imagined the interiors for Reebok’s new headquarters in the Innovation and Design Building in downtown Boston working with the architectural firm Gensler. His suggestions included open seating for employees so that no one is in

New York Men’s Dates to Move to June in 2019

Don’t get too attached to the July dates for New York Fashion Week: Men’s — they’re changing.
Starting next year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America will shift the dates for the spring men’s shows to the first week in June. This will not only coincide with the fledgling New York women’s resort season, but will also allow American designers to show before their European counterparts.
London has historically kicked off the spring season with shows that start this year on Saturday. That’s followed by Pitti Uomo in Florence, Milan and Paris. For six seasons, NYFW: Men’s has brought up the rear with shows in mid-July.
But a successful mega, 10-day, dual-gender fashion week this past February has prompted the shift starting in 2019.
“The July timing is problematic for a lot of brands,” said Mark Beckham, vice president of marketing for the Council of Fashion Designers of America. “So this will be the last NYFW: Men’s in July.”
In February, he said, the men’s shows will once again be timed to run on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before the women’s calendar starts on Thursday. ”It worked really well,” he said. But the spring shows will now start before London.
“The designers are really

Proenza Schouler Founders Talk Paris Move for Creativity’s Sake

NEW YORK — After 15 years of personal and professional partnership, Proenza Schouler founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez seem close to becoming a single creative entity.
It’s impossible to tell who drew which sketch for their most recent collection and they even dress in a similar, staunchly normcore fashion; like Larry David, if he were a young aesthete. During Thursday night’s talk with former CNN host Alina Cho at the Metropolitan Museum of Art here as part of the museum’s “Atelier With Alina Cho” series, McCollough dressed in a red pullover and black Adidas Gazelles, while Hernandez wore a black pullover and black Nike Air Force 1s. They had on almost identical charcoal skinny jeans.
This “morphing,” as McCullough put it, started in design school and probably lent itself to what seems to have been a conflict-free decision to move their runway presentations to Paris after spending their entire careers in New York.
“It was bittersweet for us to leave New York,” McCollough said. “I think New York is so good at fostering the young and up-and-coming and I think if we’d lived in one of the other fashion capitals, we wouldn’t have necessarily had the same opportunities that we had being

Liberty, Capsule to Move Men’s Shows to Javits in July

Liberty Fairs and Capsule Show are on the move — at least for a little while.
The trade shows were unable to secure their usual location at Pier 94 for the spring men’s wear shows in July and will move to the Jacob Javits Convention Center where Project and MRket will also be holding their shows.
However, Liberty and Capsule said the move is temporary and they will be back at Pier 94 for the January 2018 editions of their shows.
“No matter where we travel, our vision remains the same — create enjoyable and memorable experiences for brands, retailers and editors,” said Sam Ben-Avraham, founder of Liberty Fairs. “I am excited for attendees to make long-lasting connections at The Javits and another successful season. To me, the venue itself is less important than the connections and experiences happening inside and I look forward to channeling our unique vision through a new location.”
Deirdre Maloney, cofounder of Capsule, added: “Colocating with Liberty has been great for the market. But this summer with our shows and the UBM shows all at Javits, we expect buyers will be in paradise.”

Caitlyn Jenner: Move On HB2 ‘NOT A True Repeal’

Transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner voiced her concerns on Twitter about the repeal of a controversial “bathroom law” in North Carolina.

The bill, HB2 ― which was signed into law last year ― bars people from using the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity. On Thursday, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) signed legislation repealing the controversial bill. But critics, including Jenner, say it’s hardly enough.

Part of the new legislation bars North Carolina cities from passing their own nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people. The bathroom prohibition would also stay in effect until 2020.

Chris Sgro, executive director of Equality NC, said the repeal only doubles down on the original discriminatory bill.

“It doesn’t do anything to better the lives of LGBT North Carolinians,” Sgro said.

Jenner, an Olympic gold medal winner and reality show star, has faced criticism for her political opinions in the past. Most notably, she has praised President Donald Trump. On Twitter, critics reminded her of her support for the president.

“I am here, since I’m on the Republican side, to help the entire Republican Party do a better job when it comes to LBGT issues,” Jenner said last year. “I have kind of positioned myself with the Republican Party to try to help these people understand.”

Move Over Batman, A ‘Batgirl’ Movie May Be Coming From Joss Whedon

Batgirl, one of the world’s most popular superheroines, is set to get her very own film, according to Variety.

The outlet noted Thursday that director Joss Whedon is “nearing a deal” with Warner Bros. to write, direct and produce the project, which is currently untitled.

The film will mark DC Film’s latest movie with a strong female lead. This summer, the studio will release “Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot in the title role, and they previously released “Suicide Squad,” which saw Margot Robbie steal the show as Harley Quinn

Batgirl has been seen in various iterations over the years. As Variety notes, she first appeared in 1967 as Barbara Gordon, police commissioner James Gordon’s daughter, in “The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl!”

Yvonne Craig portrayed the character in the “Batman” series starring Adam West, which aired from 1966 to 1968. She also played Batgirl in a 1967 TV short. And who could forget 1997’s “Batman & Robin” (directed by Joel Schumacher), which starred Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl alongside George Clooney’s Batman.

No word yet on casting, but with Whedon at the helm, Batgirl is in good hands. Whedon previously directed “The Avengers” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” for DC rival Marvel, and he’s responsible for blessing us with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel” and “Firefly.”

Like we said, Batgirl is in good hands.

One Move From Trump Could Mess Up This Couple’s Wedding Bigly

Roozbeh Aliabadi, 32, spoke out via Twitter on Wednesday to put a face on President Donald Trump’s forthcoming executive order on immigration, which would temporarily ban the issuing of visas to people from certain countries.

Here’s what it looks like for this U.S. citizen:

Aliabadi, who has lived in the U.S. since he was a teenager, is a managing partner at a consulting firm. He met his wife, Zhinous, two years ago, at a party at his aunt’s house in Iran.

“I was a little tipsy, but I saw her from across the room and went up to her and said ‘I don’t even know your name or who you are, but I know you are going to be the mother of my children,’” Aliabadi told The Huffington Post.

Zhinous, an architect, just laughed, Aliabadi says.

But the two began a relationship, and last June they were legally wed before a notary in Iran. That’s when Zhinous applied for her permanent residency card for the U.S.

Their plan, Aliabadi says, was to have a small formal wedding ceremony in the U.S. to celebrate with friends and family, and then drive up the California coast in an old classic car for their honeymoon.

“She got notice on Jan. 17 ― while Obama was still president ― that [U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services] approved her for permanent residency,” Aliabadi said. “We were thrilled ― we even made jokes about getting in under the wire of Obama’s presidency.”

In order to come to the U.S., Zhinous would need an immigrant visa, and the issuance of those visas could be put on hold thanks to Trump’s expected executive order.

“In a nutshell,” Aliabadi said, “it will mean no entry.”

He says he and his wife haven’t sought legal advice, and they have no idea to what extent the order might be enforced. “Trump is signing the executive order as a national security matter,” Aliabadi said. “He is acting within his authority… [There’s] not much we can do to challenge it, although Congress can overturn it.”

“This is really impacting us,” he added. “I was upset. I don’t usually tweet out personal stuff. But I figured that if Trump can tweet, so can I.”

His message to the new president: “Thanks to you, I can’t have my wife here. One day we will tell our kids about what President Trump did to us as newlyweds. I hope that in the end, we can say kind stuff.”

His tweet, which as of Thursday had more than 100,000 impressions and had been retweeted more than 1,000 times, clearly touched a nerve.

Donald Trump Elected President; Other Planets Move Away From Earth

Following Donald Trump’s stunning victory as President of the United States, most of the planets in our solar system have decided to call it quits and move away from Earth. “I’m not exactly sure how we will break our orbit, but we will find a way–I repeat, we will find a way,” said XenianX-Five, speaking in an emergency session of the High Exalted Tribunal of Venus. “Earth has been a nice neighbor and all, but to quote one of its more prominent citizens: good night, and good luck.”

Only Pluto remains undecided about remaining where it is, although the dwarf planet is, admittedly, still in the throes of a hangover from yesterday’s events. “Yeah, like, we started watching CNN on the Time-Warner–whoops, I mean, the Spectrum–galactic carrier wave and once Trump got Florida, we got hammered,” says Pluto. “But, you know, maybe it won’t be so bad. I mean, Bryan Cranston, Amy Schumer, and Jon Stewart will be coming here any day, so that’s pretty cool, right?”

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Alum Cheryl Burke Says She Never Mastered This Dance Move

Even after 18 seasons with “Dancing With The Stars,” professional ballroom dancer Cheryl Burke says there’s one dance move she hasn’t quite mastered yet.

In an interview with HuffPost Live on Wednesday, Burke revealed that for the upcoming finale episode of “I Can Do That,” she was tasked with performing signature choreography from the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, pushing her flexibility to the limit.

“Even as a dancer I can’t do the splits, and they’re famous for that drop split,” she told host Nancy Redd. “Yeah, my back is super flexible, but I’ve never been able to do a drop split. That was a lot of pain.”

Watch Burke attempt to nail the drop split in next week’s finale episode of the NBC show, which airs on Tuesday at 10 pm ET.

Move Over, Kate Middleton—Queen Letizia Is on Her Own Super-Chic Royal Tour

Part of the duties of being a princess or queen includes embarking on royal visits around the globe. And one of the biggest perks has to be packing a dream wardrobe ready to wine, dine, and chat with other heads of state. Queen Letizia is currently touring Honduras and El Salvador and has already been spotted out in a ton of fantastic outfits.

She landed in a classic white blouse and printed pencil skirt, proving, again, that she’s the royal with the most outfit inspiration for working girls.

The visit was kicked off with a formal evening for which Letizia picked a strapless, sparkly black dress. In lace to her left is Honduran First Lady Ana Garcia de Hernandez.

The following day, she swung by a university in black trousers, pumps, and a printed top.

For a stroll around town, she picked all-white pieces and practical wedges; a coral car coat and printed clutch jazzed things up a bit.

When the queen shed her poppy topper, the powerful statement of her all-white outfit was amplified. Plus, here’s a perk of being royal: Someone else carries your outer layers for you when you warm up. Imagine!

After her time in Honduras ended, Letizia was on to El Salvador. The outfit she chose was daytime was casual at its finest: a basic navy blazer (sleeves rolled up!) thrown over a white blouse with a Peter Pan collar.

Her second suit of the day was a bit more formal, with a matching gray jacket and trousers, but another plain white shirt layered underneath.

Yet to be spotted: Her real-life Cinderella shoes. Will they pop up soon?

Crossing Continents: How to Move a Marriage

“Never take a damaged marriage overseas,” they told me at the spouse orientation the year my husband joined the Diplomatic Security Service.

Diplomatic Security, or DSS, is a little-known branch of the State Department that is responsible, as the name suggests, for keeping diplomats and other Americans safe overseas. DS agents like my husband are posted to Embassies overseas, sometimes alone, sometimes with their families. It’s a high-stress, high-stakes job (think Benghazi) involving long hours in strange cities, doing things you can’t necessarily tell your spouse about.

So this marriage advice, coming from a veteran DS spouse, made a lot of sense. Even way back then I knew that the constant moves required in the Foreign Service, the strange hours, the secrecy required of the job, would take a toll on the strongest marriage, so I could understand that a damaged marriage might not survive a Foreign Service career.

But that was back in the last century, before we’d had a baby. Before we’d had four babies, to be more exact. Before we’d suffered two miscarriages. Before we’d seen one baby through a serious illness. Before we’d been PNG’ed (that means “kicked out,” for all of you non-diplomats) from one country, and medically evacuated from another. Before I lost my hearing to a mysterious virus in China. Before he was selected for an unaccompanied tour in Iraq, leaving me and the four kids behind to fend for ourselves in Amman, Jordan.

Back then, a century ago, our marriage was as close to perfect as it is possible to get, with lots of hand holding and talk of “the future,” that shiny, happy unknown. Advice about damaged marriages had nothing to do with my reality, though I could certainly understand how it might apply to others. I nodded my head as she spoke, like everyone else in the room, but really, I was in a hurry to move on to more pertinent information, like how to host a dinner party, or how to ship a car overseas.

Now, though. Now, when I’m 16 years into the Foreign Service and 20 years into married life, I’ve had loads of time to contemplate that advice, and honestly, it’s the only advice I remember clearly from that day. Hosting a dinner party is the easiest part of the lifestyle. Staying married? Not so much.

In the end, it turns out that every Foreign Service marriage is damaged in some way. All of our marriages have places where they have been bent, bruised and maybe even broken over the passage of years and tours. The strain of the constant moves, the stress of constantly reinventing yourself, the feelings of inadequacy brought on in each new country, where you have to learn to talk and cook and drive anew – all of this weighs down our families, threatening at times to crush us.

Many of the broken bits I find in my relationship with my husband suffered their damage at the hands of the Foreign Service. My married life flashes before my eyes, and I see that time I was so very angry – over what, exactly, I can’t remember now – that I wanted to storm out of the house… but I had nowhere to go, no friends at all to run to, because we were brand new to the city. I remember the time I raged internally because I was stuck driving around our new middle eastern city, trying to find the emergency room, when he was nowhere to be found. I think back to the day they loaded me onto a tiny medevac plane, when I was soaked in blood from the waist down after a misdiagnosis led to a miscarriage – I’d only been in Central Asia for 13 days, and there was nothing he could do to help me except pray I didn’t bleed to death before we got to a country where they could operate on me. I remember when he was home from Baghdad for a brief visit, and I just sat sobbing on the bed, blubbering about how I couldn’t do it, and I wasn’t going to do it anymore, whatever “it” was. He looked on, scared and helpless, not quite even sure what was bothering me.

Yet here we still are.

All around me, I see friends giving up on crumbling marriages – not just in the Foreign Service, but in the regular world, too. Sometimes, when a friend or colleague announces her separation, I’m not surprised – from the outside, it was obvious that the relationship had moved irretrievably beyond the breaking point. Other times, though, I’m shocked – if it could happen to her, what’s to keep me safe?

Here’s the thing. Being sent to a new country with your same ole spouse can be a sort of living hell if you let it. Because you’re forced to rely solely on each other: no grandparents, no old friends, no aunts to rely on; nobody to come rescue you from each other. It’s just you and him, alone against the Foreign Affairs Manual. And at each new post, your relationship changes, in big ways and small. Sometimes I find work: an equal partner! Other times, there is no work to be had, and I have to rely on him to turn in the work orders, to cash the checks, to sign up for internet service. And he has to rely on me, too: to figure things out on my own without too much anxiety, to find the stores and make the friends and enroll in the schools. To be happy, no matter what craziness surrounds me. Because, like it or not, as the “trailing spouse,” I’m the backbone of the family. If that backbone snaps, well, it’s all over. And that’s a terrible, intimidating responsibility when you arrive in a new place, with not a word of the local language, a nasty case of jetlag and four lonely children. It’s hard to be the backbone when your husband is posted in a war zone and you have sick kids and a full-time job. It’s hard to not blame him for getting you in this mess.

I look back at the ravages wrought on my marriage by the Foreign Service, and yes, some of it will always seem awful. Some of it seems funny, or even ridiculous, in hindsight. But all of it – the whole collection of dents, the tarnished spots, everything ugly – all of it together has built this marriage, this crazy life of ours.

So yes, you could say that a decade and a half after that opening day lecture, I now recognize that my marriage is as banged-up as everyone else’s. It’s definitely not the same marriage I carried – carefully, hopefully – into the Foreign Service all those years ago.

But, you know what? We may have argued on that humid summer day about how exactly we should get to the top of the Great Wall of China, but we got there, and back again, together. I gripped the armrest and told him to slow down as he wound down that hill toward Tel Aviv, but he got us there safely in the end, and we held hands as we looked at the broad expanse of the Mediterranean, rolling our eyes as the kids argued about who was the first to touch the water. When I sat sobbing on the bed during his visit from Baghdad, he had no idea what the problem was. But he sat with me and let me finish, and then he kissed me and set about figuring out how to make it better. For me. For us.

We’re damaged, sure. But we’re damaged in the best possible way, together.

Viral Wedding Photo Of A Marine Praying With His Soon-To-Be Wife Will Move You

A photo of U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Caleb Earwood and his bride Maggie sharing an emotional moment before their wedding in Asheville, North Carolina this Memorial Day weekend has gone viral. One look at the powerful shot and it’s easy to see why:

Photographer Dwayne Schmidt captured the moment and shared it on his business’s Facebook on Saturday, calling it “one of the best things I have ever [gotten] to see, much less photograph.” At the time of publication, the post had amassed more than 47,000 likes and counting.

The photo shows the couple holding hands and closing their eyes as to not catch a glimpse of each other before the ceremony. The groom is saying a prayer aloud, while his bride-to-be stands around the corner.

“It broke me down to know that we felt the same way about God,” the bride told ABC News. “It just made me happy.”

The soon-to-be-newlyweds weren’t the only ones who were overcome with intense emotions.

“The whole room was full of emotion,” Schmidt said. “I tried not to cry and focus on what I was doing.”

Groom’s Compassionate Wedding Dance With His Mom Will Move You To Tears

At his wedding, groom Luke Rheault had planned to do a special mother-son dance with his mom Rebekah, who had been diagnosed with ALS a year before the nuptials.

Once the song, “Hero” by Mariah Carey, started playing, Luke said something felt off. His mom was sitting in her wheelchair and Luke was towering over her. So he did something unexpected and sweet and got down on his knees for the duration of the dance.

“I remember feeling uncomfortable standing above her for the first few moments of the dance — it just didn’t feel normal, and that’s when I got down on my knees and danced with her,” Luke told The Huffington Post. “I had no idea of the impact it had on everyone until they had told me.”

“I wanted her to feel so special in that very moment, so I tried to make the best of it and spin her around and continue smiling with her,” Luke added. “I don’t recall at any point in the wedding thinking that these might be my last few moments with my mother. So I did what felt right at the time, and I’m really glad I did because it’s a memory that has well-served its purpose.”

Luke and his wife Kristeena tied the knot in November 2008 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. But it wasn’t until March 2015 that the bride decided to post the heartbreakingly beautiful video to YouTube.

Sadly, Rebekah died in September 2009 — less than a year after she and her son shared their dance.

“There was not a dry eye in the house, everyone was so touched by the dance,” the bride Kristeena told HuffPost. “The tears started as soon as Luke dropped down to his knees to dance with her. You can see Luke’s daughter Arianna in the background crying and hugging my mother and then Luke’s father.”

It wasn’t until Wednesday that Luke watched the dance in its entirety for the first time. He said it’s brought on a wave of emotion and many wonderful memories.

“I found myself reliving all that this woman did for me — everything that she embodied as a mother and everything she taught me to be,” he said. “I tell it to everyone: ‘It’s a void that can never be filled.’ I’ve never considered myself to be a mama’s boy, but I’ve always appreciated everything she has done for me. Growing up and getting older enhances the power of those feelings.”

Queen Latifah And Jimmy Fallon Beatbox ‘Bust A Move’ On ‘The Tonight Show’

Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon are a match made in entertainment heaven.

Latifah stopped by “The Tonight Show” Friday, where she joined Fallon in a performance of Young MC’s “Bust a Move.” The two used a beatboxing iPad app to lay down their beat, and then full out rapped, sang and busted a move for the audience.

When Latifah appeared on Fallon’s “Late Night” back in 2014, she wiped the floor with him during a highly entertaining game of Antler Ring Toss.

Basically whenever Fallon and Latifah get together, we can expect some dream team antics.

When Is The Right Time To Move In Together? Survey Says…

It’s the age-old question that consistently plagues couples: when is the right time to move-in together?

A lot of unknowns come into play here, which makes the decision so much more difficult. Is it too soon? Will it save me money? Will it cost me money? Will it hurt our relationship? What if he/she discovers I’m actually a hoarder of Cat Fancy?

The folks at Rent.com wanted to get to the bottom of this and asked 1,000 cohabiting renters their thoughts on how long couples should date before making the big move.

According to the survey, 37 percent said six months to a year is an appropriate amount of time, 29 percent said more than one year, and 18 percent said to wait until after marriage. You can see all the results in the infographic below.

move in infographic

But what happened once these couples made the move? Was it all butterflies and rainbows?

Once couples shacked up, 63 percent said they rarely have a night with just their friends, and 58 percents said weekends are spent staying home with their S.O.

And though 27 percent of respondents said they moved in together within less than six months of dating, only seven percent of people surveyed recommended doing that.

However, on the bright side, almost half of those surveyed said the upside to moving in was spending more time with their loved one. And 32 percent said moving in together helped them realize they had found “the one.”

What do you think? What’s the right time to say “I do… want to move in with you?”

Donald Trump Believes Chris Christie Will Move Past Scandals

SOMERSET, N.J. (AP) — Real estate developer Donald Trump told a group of New Jersey Republicans he expects New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to make it through the scandals that are plaguing his administration.

“He’s doing fine and it’s going to be fine,” Trump told the Somerset County Republican Organization, where he received the group’s “Republican of the Year” award Wednesday night. “We all go through these patches,” said Trump. “I wish him well.”

Trump said he has considered Christie a friend for many years. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, owns a publishing company that runs a website devoted to New Jersey politics.

The 67-year-old Trump told The Associated Press he’s seen no evidence that Republican donors are shying away from the governor and possible 2016 presidential candidate.

He says Christie’s ability to run for president has not been compromised, if he decides he wants to run.

Trump, who flirted with running for president in 2012, told AP he would decide within a few weeks whether to enter the race for governor of New York.

On Wednesday, he was honored for his investment in New Jersey; Trump National Country Club is located in Somerset County.

Former New Jersey Attorney General and Christie confidante Jeff Chiesa also was honored by the group.

Referencing Christie’s budget address on Tuesday and town hall meeting on Wednesday, Chiesa said Christie is continuing to govern despite twin scandals that have mired the start of his second term and threaten to upend any political ambitions.

“He has been the target of incessant and unsubstantiated innuendo for six weeks now, and guess what,” said Chiesa, “he is continuing to lead the state with incredible integrity.”

Federal authorities and state lawmakers are looking into an apparent political payback operation orchestrated Christie’s aides; federal prosecutors are also investigating accusations that two members of Christie’s cabinet threatened to withhold federal Superstorm Sandy recovery aid from hard-hit Hoboken unless the mayor supported a favored redevelopment project.

The administration has denied the charges.

Chiesa, who was named by Christie to a temporary seat in the U.S. Senate last year, is a partner in Wolff & Samson, the law firm that represented the redeveloper in Hoboken. David Samson, the founding partner of the law firm, is chairman of the agency that runs the George Washington Bridge, where traffic jams were created in an apparent act of political retribution.

Move Over Tina And Amy: The Stars Of ‘Camp Takota’ Are Here To Stay

If Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are Hollywood’s current reigning funny female friendship, we think it’s safe to say that YouTube stars Hannah Hart, Grace Helbig, and Mamrie Hart are the Internet’s heirs apparent.

All three are endlessly hilarious on their individual channels, but together they are an absolute online video tour de force.

Hart, Helbig and Hart teamed up recently to create the feature film called “Camp Takota,” a movie about a woman who returns to sleep-away camp and old friends after many years. Unsurprisingly, hilarity and hijinks ensue, and the chemistry between the three is clearly evident from the recently released trailer, which is above.

“We’ve synched up in more ways than just our periods,” Helbig told The Daily Dot about her friendship with Hannah Hart. “We’ll pick each other up and find out that we’re wearing the same outfits. It’s horrible.”

Female friendships this strong deserve to be celebrated, and so it’s fitting that the film is scheduled for a Valentine’s Day release.
