Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 2 – ‘The Pact’ Review

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1 FOLLOW

What happened, Telltale? After a promising Season 2 premiere – which came on the back of a thoroughly entertaining first season that refreshingly flipped a number of Batman character conventions on their heads – the second episode of The Enemy Within falls flat. An uneventful storyline, surprisingly poor voice acting, and an ending that has no immediate payoff besides teasing a hopefully better episode 3 have stalled out what was a promising Batman adventure.

‘The Pact’ picks up right where ‘The Enigma’ ended, with The Agency’s Amanda Waller revealing to Batman that she knows his true identity. But where episode 1 shined with bringing many background characters to the forefront, this episode pushes almost all of those storylines aside in order to introduce a swath of Batman’s Rogues Gallery to this version of Gotham City. Bane, Victor Freeze, and Harley Quinn all have prominent roles here as Bruce Wayne is more or less forced by Waller to infiltrate the gang sans costume.

John Galliano Inks Production Pact

PARIS – Ahead of its fall-winter 2015 women’s show in Paris today, John Galliano said it has inked a licensing agreement with Italy’s Modalis to produce its men’s and women’s ready-to-wear.
The first collections under the new pact are to be unveiled in June for the women’s resort and men’s spring-summer 2016 seasons.
In addition, the Galliano company plans to combine its signature collection and Galliano second line into one range, positioned as a contemporary offering that “combines the brand’s history of craftsmanship and extroverted elegance with an accessible attitude and price point.”
Modalis is based in Italy’s Umbria region and was formerly known as Studio Roscini, which dates back to 1990.
The Galliano company has recently produced its collections in house in the wake of the financial troubles of its previous licensee Ittierre SpA.
John Galliano sat out recent men’s seasons as it searched for a new manufacturing partner. Bill Gaytten is John Galliano’s creative director.
