Always Sunny: How the Gang Pulled Off Their Most Moving Episode

When a show’s been on as long as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and has been churning out clever and cruel satire for so many years, sometimes the best direction to take is an earnest, emotional one.

And that’s exactly what happened last week in Always Sunny’s Season 13 finale, “Mac Finds His Pride.” For more than a decade, The Gang has flirted with seriousness, planting a few seeds here and there for storylines that could grow into something a bit more meaningful and layered – from Charlie’s unrequited love to Dennis deciding to settle down – but none of them rounded out into anything honorable. But back in Season 12, when Mac came out to his friends in the episode “Hero or Hate Crime?,” the series unearthed its unexpected, stunning heart.

The iHeartRadio Awards Pulled An Oscars And Gave Fifth Harmony’s Award To Zayn

Just a week after the Oscars flub heard round the world, the iHeartRadio Music Awards said, “Hold my beer.

Before the award show aired Sunday, iHeartRadio announced that Zayn Malik had won Best Music Video for “Pillowtalk.” Unfortunately, Zayn was not the true winner ― Fifth Harmony was.

The iHeartRadio team announced the mistake in a series of apologetic tweets Tuesday.

To add insult to injury, Zayn had already posted a heartwarming thank-you message for the Best Music Video award with Gigi Hadid by his side.

Rather than mercilessly cast Zayn out in the cold, iHeartRadio announced the “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” singer had won Best Solo Breakout Artist ― a brand new category this year.

However, many on social media were quick to point out that they had not previously heard of nor voted in the new category.

Zayn fans began tweeting about the fiasco using the hashtag #iHeartWasRigged.

The category also came as a complete surprise to “Complicated” singer Olivia O’Brien, who didn’t even realize she’d been nominated for the award.

Well, this got messy quickly.

Here’s hoping Zayn, Fifth Harmony and iHeartRadio sort things out. If things get too hairy, we’re sure Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway have a getaway car iHeartRadio can use.

Nothing Beets ‘The Office’ Prank This Woman Pulled On A Tinder Match

Fact: Even Jim Halpert would be proud of a prank this masterful.

Over the weekend, a woman named Caroline from Cleveland, Ohio, tweeted out a very special conversation she had with a guy she met on Tinder.

“Yesterday I convinced a boy that I am a beet farmer by using quotes from ‘The Office,’” the Kent State University freshman wrote on Twitter.

Caroline mined material from Dwight Schrute, everyone’s favorite Scranton-based, beet-loving paper salesman:

Nate was intrigued… (And clearly a good sport for engaging with a Tinder match this beet obsessed.)

From there, Caroline took it to the next level:

As of now, Caroline’s tweet has racked up over 18,000 retweets and spurred on some equally hilarious responses:

The good news is, no one’s feelings were hurt here. Caroline told BuzzFeed that once the tweet went viral, she messaged Nate to let him know she was not, in fact, a beet farmer.

“It was all in good fun,” she said. “He thought it was hilarious and that it was cool that it was getting so many retweets.”

Hey, we think she’d have Jim’s approval on this one.

The Huffington Post reached out to Caroline for comment but did not hear back at the time of publication.
