LeSean McCoy’s Ex-Girlfriend Is No Longer Certain He Was Involved in Attack: Report

LeSean McCoy’s estranged girlfriend appears be backing away from previous statements implicating the NFL player in a robbery and assault that left her badly beaten and hospitalized.

In the 911 recording, obtained by PEOPLE, Delicia Cordon insists to the operator that McCoy — a 30-year-old running back for the Buffalo Bills who has reportedly tried to evict her from his home following their breakup last year — had “something to do” with the attack on early Tuesday morning.

“He took a diamond bracelet off my wrist,” Cordon says in the 911 call of the unidentified assailant. “He just kept asking for jewelry. I think it has something to do with my ex-boyfriend.”

However, Cordon’s Tanya Mitchell Graham told CBS News that Cordon is no longer certain about McCoy’s participation in the attack.

In a clarification of the statement to ESPN’s Mike Rodak, Graham insisted there had been “no backtracking” in Cordon’s account.

“Graham says her client ‘suspects’ McCoy had ‘something to do with it’ but Cordon is not directly blaming McCoy without more evidence,” said Rodak via tweet.

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

Graham also told CBS News that the jewelry was a birthday present from McCoy.

During the 911 call, the distraught Cordon expresses fear that her former boyfriend was watching her through the home’s security system.

“Ma’am I have cameras all outside my house,” she frantically says. “My boyfriend, who I feel like did this, who set me up, is going to see us on the cameras outside.”

Cordon also told the dispatcher her son was missing and she did not know if he had been taken or fled the attack.

When asked by the dispatcher if she was in need of medical attention, Cordon horrifyingly replies, “My face is demolished right now.”

The attacker pistol-whipped Cordon — a designer and popular Instagram model — multiple times during the incident while trying to retrieve jewelry, Milton Police confirmed to PEOPLE.

An image of a bleeding Cordon lying in a hospital bed, posted to Instagram by Cordon’s friend Mia Michelle Boykin went viral on social media on Tuesday morning, just hours after the robbery.

Following news of the attack, McCoy quickly denied the allegations that he had anything to do with the robbery in a post on social media. He then hired the firm of high-profile Atlanta attorney Don Samuel to represent him as the police investigate the incident.

In his statement on Tuesday, McCoy said he had not spoken to Cordon in months, despite her living in the house he owned.

“For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me are completely false,” McCoy wrote on Instagram. “Furthermore, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months.”

In a statement to Yahoo Sports, the Milton Police Department said they believe the home was “specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident.”

RELATEDNFL Star LeSean McCoy Accused of Leaving His Ex-Girlfriend Bloody & Beaten in Viral Instagram Photo

As Cordon mentioned during the 911 call, her attorney told PEOPLE that the estranged couple has long been at odds with each other concerning jewelry since their relationship ended.

In multiple police reports obtained by PEOPLE, Milton Police detailed three domestic dispute calls they received to the home over the last year, including an incident where McCoy mentioned jewelry that he claims was loaned to him and Cordon had not yet returned. He also told officers he feared his ex would make fake allegations against him, the report states.

In a July 2017 incident, and in two other domestic disputes on April 11 and June 1 this year, police said they found no evidence of violence or that the former couple’s arguments had become physical.

The two were due to attend a court hearing on Tuesday, but it was postponed to Aug. 14 at the request of Cordon’s attorney.

Report That Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx Have Split Is ‘100 Percent Untrue’ Says Actress’ Rep

A report that Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have split is “100 percent untrue,” Leslie Sloane, a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE.

The story, published Wednesday, claimed Holmes and Foxx were planning a wedding and called it off.

The pair were first spotted together in 2013, although the actors have never confirmed their relationship.

After first being seen dancing with one another in the Hamptons in 2013 — one year after the actress split from Tom Cruise following six years of marriage — Foxx, 50, and Holmes, 39, made sure to stay out of the spotlight.

When a photographer captured a rare photo of the pair together, walking hand-in-hand on a Malibu beach in September, they became more  cautious — but started stepping out together more.

The duo sat next to each other at Clive Davis’s Pre-Grammy Awards Gala in January, played basketball together on Valentine’s Day and were seen leaving Nobu restaurant in New York City on April 22, followed by Carbone on May 1.

Holmes also made an appearance at his 50th birthday party in Los Angeles in mid-December. Foxx and Holmes were seen arriving together at Paramount Pictures for his bash.

Minn. Officer Who Fatally Shot Bride-to-Be Who Called 911 to Report Possible Assault Charged With Murder

The Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot an Australian bride-to-be in 2017 after she called 911 to report a possible assault has turned himself over to authorities after learning a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman detailed the third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges against Officer Mohamed Noor, a member of the Minneapolis police force for 29 months, in the death of Justine Damond, who was just weeks away from her wedding date.

Damond, a 40-year-old meditation teacher and personal health and life coach, was fatally shot on July 15, 2017, when Officers Matthew Harrity and Noor responded to a 911 call she’d made.

An investigation revealed Damond (who was reportedly wearing her pajamas) approached the driver’s side window of the responding patrol car moments after a loud noise startled Harrity.

• Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Click here to get breaking crime news, ongoing trial coverage and details of intriguing unsolved cases in the True Crime Newsletter.

Noor, who was sitting in the passenger seat, shot Damond through the open driver’s side window, Freeman said, and told investigators he felt his life was in danger at the time of the shooting.

Freeman said the two officers turned their body cameras on after exiting the vehicle after the shooting. They did not start trying to resuscitate her until “one minute and 10 seconds after” exiting the vehicle, he said.

Freeman said that the first conversations captured on the body cams suggest both officers were apparently “spooked” by something.

But Freeman said that “Justine was approaching the car unarmed” and that both officers “couldn’t tell if she was a male or female, an adult or a child.” Therefore Freeman said “Officer Noor did not act reasonably and abused his authority to use deadly force.”

According to Freeman, Damond told the officers “‘I’m dying’ or ‘I’m dead’” as they approached her.

“In the short time between when Ms. Damond … approached the squad car and the time that he fired the fatal shot, there is no evidence that Officer Noor encountered a threat, appreciated a threat, investigated a threat, or confirmed a threat that justified the decision to use deadly force,” Freeman told reporters, noting Noor “recklessly and intentionally fired his gun.”

She was set to marry her fiancé, Don Damond, in Hawaii in early August; she had already publicly taken his last name.

The medical examiner concluded Damond died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Noor’s lawyer, Thomas Plunkett, could not be reached for comment Tuesday but previously told PEOPLE in a statement that the officer “extends his condolences to and anyone else who has been touched by this event.”

“He takes these events very seriously because, for him, being a police officer is a calling,” Plunkett said.

• For more compelling true crime coverage, follow our Crime magazine on Flipboard.

Both Harrity, who joined the force in 2016, and Noor, were placed on paid leave immediately after the shooting. Their employment status was unclear Tuesday.

PEOPLE was unable to determine if Noor had entered a plea.

He is being held on $ 500,000 bail.

Newscaster Sneaks Taylor Swift Song Titles into Her Traffic Report — and the Singer Loves It

This newscaster’s reputation certainly won’t suffer after getting approval from Taylor Swift herself.

Laura Hettiger, who works for St. Louis’ KMOV station and serves as co-host of Great Day St. Louis, decided to put a musical twist on her morning traffic report, Friday, in honor of the 27-year-old songstress dropping her new album.

Hettiger incorporated Swift’s song names and lyrics into the broadcast, like advising viewers that there was plenty of “Blank Space” on the roads heading downtown and to be “Fearless” as they headed out to clear highways.

Swift herself saw the report thanks to her family members in the area and made sure to alert Hettiger to her approval via social media.

“My cousins in St. Louis sent this to me,” the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer wrote on Twitter Saturday. “I LOVE YOU @LauraKHettiger.”

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

The Grammy winner dropped her new album, Reputation, shortly before midnight on Thursday, and it appears to be everything her Swifties have been hoping for.

While many of the songs reveal intimate details about her secret relationship with boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Swift — who spent most of 2016 in hiding — also tells her side of the story on her past relationships and her feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West.

RELATED VIDEO: Taylor Swift Slams Kanye West In New Song On Her Reputation Album

She additionally wrote a heartfelt letter to fans in Reputation‘s album booklet. “Here’s something I’ve learned about people,” she wrote. “We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them they have chosen to show us.”

She continued, “We are never just good or just bad. We are mosaics of our worst selves and our best selves, our deepest secrets and our favorite stories to tell at a dinner party, existing somewhere between our well-lit profile photo and our drivers license shot.”

“I’ve been in the public eye since I was 15-years-old. On the beautiful, lovely side of that, I’ve been so lucky to make music for a living and look out into crowds of loving, vibrant people. On the other side of the coin, my mistakes have been used against me, my heartbreaks have been used as entertainment, and my songwriting has been trivialized as ‘oversharing,’ ” added Swift.

“Let me say it louder again, louder for those in the back… We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them they have chosen to show us,” she concluded. “There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation.”

Dr. Henry Heimlich, the Man Who Invented the Heimlich Maneuver, Has Died: Report

Dr. Henry Heimlich, the surgeon who invented the life-saving Heimlich maneuver, has died, according to NBC News. He was 96.

Heimlich’s son, Phil, told NBC News that his father passed away on Saturday at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati after suffering a heart attack earlier in the week.

“My father was a great man who saved many lives,” Phil, an attorney and former Hamilton County commissioner, told NBC News. “He will be missed not only by his family but by all of humanity.”

According to NBC News, Heimlich was director of surgery at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati in 1974 when he developed the Heimlich maneuver, which involves a series of thrusts to the abdomen to create a flow of air to the lungs in choking victims. The flow of air can then push out objects in the windpipe that are causing choking.

The maneuver was widely adopted by public health authorities and restaurant associations — making Heimlich a household name and saving countless lives.

Charles Krupa/AP

As it turned out, Heimlich had to wait many years to actually use the maneuver himself. In May, he told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he used the move for the first time earlier this year when coming to the aid of a fellow resident at the Deupree House senior living facility.

“When I used it and recovered quickly, it made me appreciate how wonderful it has been to be able to save all those lives,” he said at the time.

The Heimlich maneuver wasn’t his only invention. According to NBC News, he also developed a chest drain valve that was credited with saving soldiers and civilians during the Vietnam war. However, he drew sharp criticism for a theory that injecting patients with a curable form of malaria could trigger immunity against the HIV virus.

Trump Rips ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Report That Cites His Own Aide As ‘Rediculous’ Fake News

Donald Trump is calling “fake news” on CNN’s report that he is staying on as the executive producer of “The New Celebrity Apprentice” — even though the creator of the series confirmed the information and Trump’s own spokeswoman suggested he would stay.

Kellyanne Conway said in an on-air CNN interview Friday that if lawyers give Trump the go-ahead, “then he’s probably going to say, why not’ remain as a producer of the popular reality TV franchise.

As the for expected extra work involved, Conway denied it would detract from Trump’s job as president, comparing the time to the amount President Barack Obama spends golfing. “Presidents have a right to do things in their spare time,” Conway said.

A representative for MGM, the studio that produces the program for NBC, told Variety on Thursday that Trump will continue to be credited as an executive producer. MGM refused to discuss Trump’s fees, but they could be in the “six figures,” Variety reported. Trump hosted the popular “Apprentice” series for more than a decade before his presidential campaign.

But following surprised reactions and renewed concerns about potential conflicts of interest ― with even Newt Gingrich calling such a dual role “weird” ― Trump is now insisting that he won’t spend any time on the job. He lashed out against CNN in a tweet Saturday, calling its report “fake news” and “ridiculous,” which he initially misspelled as “rediculous.”

He conceded in another tweet that he has a “big stake” in the program but insisted that he will devote “zero time” to it.

A continued “big stake” alone worries critics concerned about a conflict of interest. It would pose challenges to a president expected to make impartial decisions about media and entertainment legislation or choices that could affect companies that are buying ads on a program he’s profiting from. Trident gum, Welch’s and Carnival Cruise Line have signed on as sponsors of the show, according to NBC.

The relationship poses problems for NBC as well. Its news division covers the president-elect and the network is home to “Saturday Night Live,” which has heavily criticized Trump.

The New York Times reported Friday that Trump Productions, the Trump company that “associates with ‘The Apprentice,’” earned about $ 5.9 million from January 2015 to May 2016, according to the president-elect’s financial disclosure documents.

The program starts up again Jan. 2 following a two-year hiatus. It will be hosted by actor and former Republican California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger, who compared Trump’s situation to his own status as an actor and a governor, defended the president-elect, saying at a press conference that it’s up to Trump how much he wants to participate.

“It’s no different than when I … became governor. My credit starring in ‘Terminator’ still stayed the same and I continued getting royalties and all that stuff,” he said, according to Us Weekly.

Gingrich said Friday that it was “weird” Trump wanted to do both jobs. “He is going to be the executive producer of the American government and a huge TV show called ‘Leading the World,’” Gingrich added, suggesting that Trump turn over his producer role to his children.

“The Apprentice” series hasn’t always been kind to Trump.

Earlier this year, former staffers and participants on the show came forward with accusations of inappropriate, crude and sexist behavior by Trump during filming.

Healthy Lifestyle Report: Senior Health

We live in a world where we want everything immediately. From having fast food restaurants on every corner, the ability to shop from our smartphones, to live streaming sports events, nearly everything we do is at our fingertips. Besides not getting enough exercise from daily activities anymore, throw into the mix the plethora of junk food we consume (because it is quick) and it’s no wonder that we as a nation continue to get more and more overweight and obese. So instead of walking to the store, or walking around the mall for a few hours, we order our groceries online and buy new clothes and furniture with a few clicks on our computer or smartphones. Now, instead of burning calories prepping for and cooking a healthy family dinner, we call up the pizza guy or swing by a McDonald’s and pick up a cheap and unhealthy meal for the family. Convenience may seem nice but it comes with a price – obesity, heart-related diseases, Type II diabetes and an early death. The health risks of being overweight and obese are frightening. The heavier you are, the higher your chance of getting Type 2 diabetes, having heart disease and high blood pressure, and getting certain cancers such as colon, kidney and breast. However these health risks are reversible if you start now. Do you watch the T.V. show Biggest Loser? If so, then you know that most of the contestants come onto the ranch overweight and taking multiple medications for the conditions they have. After a few months on the ranch and several pounds lighter, most of them leave the ranch off of most, if not all, of their medications. Everything they were trying to control with medication was directly related to them being overweight or obese. Once the weight was gone, the conditions disappeared. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2.8 million people die each year due to the effects of being overweight or obese. Although the pharmaceutical companies’ answer to the problem is to create more medicines, it’s no se

U.S. families struggling with teens’ phone addiction: report

Half of teenagers in the United States feel addicted to their mobile phones, with most checking the devices at least every hour and feeling pressured to respond immediately to messages, a survey released on Tuesday found. The majority of parents concurred, with 59 percent of those with children between ages 12 and 18 saying their kids cannot give up their phones, according to a poll of 1,240 parents and children by Common Sense Media. The findings from the nonprofit group, which focuses on the effects of media and technology on children, highlighted the tension such close ties to devices can cause, with it disrupting driving, homework and other time together.

FBI paid hackers who cracked the San Bernardino iPhone, report says

If you're the FBI, and Apple refuses to assist you, how do you crack open a locked iPhone? Apparently, the same way as everyone else (provided you have sufficient funds): You pay professional hackers to do it.  According to a report by theWashington Post, published Tuesday, the agency managed to crack open the iPhone 5C that was used by San Bernardino gunman Syed Farook by paying a one-time fee to an unnamed group of hackers.  SEE ALSO: FBI ‘pretty confident’ iPhone hack only works on iPhone 5C with iOS 9 The hackers defeated the device's security by using a previously undiscovered security flaw in the iPhone's software. This flaw was then used to create a hardware device that helped open the iPhone without triggering the security feature that erases all of its data after too many unsuccessful login attempts.  While the hackers aren't identified in the report, people familiar with the matter told the Washington Post it was not the Israeli firm Cellebrite, as previous reports have claimed.  Furthermore, at least one of the hackers involved is considered to be a "gray hat," a somewhat vague term which denominates hackers who tread the fine line between ethical and unethical hacking.   The vulnerability used to crack open the iPhone 5C probably works only on that model, and only if it's running the iOS 9 version of Apple's mobile platform, making it a fairly limited security issue for users.  While that solves FBI's problem in this case, the question remains: Should the agency now publicly disclose the nature of the security flaw used to hack into the iPhone? According to FBI Director James Comey, who addressed the issue in a speech on Encryption and Surveillance at Kenyon College last Wednesday, the agency is "considering" it.  “It’s an interesting conversation because, we tell Apple, they fix it and then we’re back where we started from,” he said.

Trooper Who Did Not Report Duggar Abuse Listed ‘Kinki Kids’ As Online Interest

The Arkansas state trooper who reportedly gave the young Josh Duggar a “very stern talk” once had a Yahoo profile in which he detailed his own sexual interest in children, according to a 2009 court document.

The Pulaski County, Arkansas, “risk assessment” document, which is publicly available online and was posted by Jezebel on Wednesday, detailed the criminal history of the former officer, Joe Hutchens, who is now serving a 56-year sentence on child porn charges.

When Hutchens was still working as a trooper in 2006, Jim Bob Duggar approached him with the information that the teenaged Josh had sexually molested someone, according to a police report obtained by InTouch. Josh had, in fact, “forcibly fondled” five underage girls, some of whom were his sisters. Hutchens did not officially report the teen’s actions but instead gave him a “very stern talk,” the report said.

Hutchens now claims that the elder Duggar did not tell him the whole story. In a prison interview reported by InTouch, Hutchens said that both Jim Bob and Josh told him that Josh had molested only one victim.

Hutchens added that he regrets his actions (or lack thereof). “I did what I thought was right and obviously it wasn’t,” he said. “If I had to do it over again, I would have told him immediately I am going to call the hotline and contacted the trooper that worked those cases and have a full report made. I thought I could handle it myself.”

The year after his meeting with Josh Duggar, Hutchens pleaded guilty to eight counts of possessing child pornography after authorities searching his home computer found multiple images of “prepubescent children” being sexually abused, according to the Pulaski County document.

The document states that Hutchens’ Yahoo profile username was “dadsluv2002” and that his profile listed such interests as “Kinki Kids,” “Child Play series,” “Strangers with Candy,” “Puberty” and “Preschools.” The report also states that between 2004 and 2005, Hutchens “spent considerable time on his computer viewing child porn.”

Hutchens was initially sentenced to five years in prison, but by early 2010 he had been released on a suspended-sentence agreement. In March 2010, he was arrested again on child pornography charges. This time he wound up pleading no contest to 10 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing child pornography, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported, and was sentenced to 56 years behind bars.

Though Jim Bob Duggar reportedly knew as early as 2002 that his son had assaulted a girl, he did not contact Hutchens until 2006. Prior to that, he had sent Josh to counseling at a Bible-based facility whose affiliated homeschooling program has been criticized for its “horrific” teachings about sexual abuse.

The Duggar family went on to star in the TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting” — originally known as “17 Kids and Counting” — beginning in 2008.

Josh Duggar, who is now 27, apologized for his actions in a public Facebook post last Thursday. TLC pulled “19 Kids and Counting” from the network’s lineup the following day.
