Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Reunites with Jersey Shore Cast for Deena Cortese’s Baby Shower

Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola was back together with her Jersey Shore castmates on Saturday for one special reason.

The 31-year-old reality star reunited with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick and Jenni “JWoww” Farley for Deena Cortese’s baby shower.

It was the first time all were together since Cortese’s wedding to Christopher Buckner in October 2017. Giancola famously opted out of the MTV reboot to focus on her businesses and relationship — and avoid “potentially toxic situations,” seemingly referring to her ex and former costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, 32. (Their tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship lasted eight years, three of which were captured on the original run of Jersey Shore from 2009-12).

Though she skipped out on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, there appeared to be no hard feelings between Giancola and her female costars, and the group was all smiles on Saturday in a sea of photos shared on social media.

Cortese, 31 — who is expecting her first child, a boy — wore a white lace dress with a blue “mommy-to-be” sash that perfectly highlighted her baby bump. Polizzi, 30, and Pivarnick, 32, both wore dresses while Farley, 32, and Giancola both wore pants and cold-shoulder tops.

Polizzi and Farley each brought their daughters Giovanna and Meilani, both 4, and the duo posed together for a picture in front of the dessert table.

Celebrating new life 💙💙💙 with my girls,” Farley captioned one shot, with Polizzi adding, “DEENER’S baby shower for CJ! Can’t wait to meet another addition to our family. Love these ladies so much!!!!!! #Family #MySisters.”

“#AllTogetherFinally,” Pivarnick added in her caption. “#Sisters #LoveThem.”

The ladies also shared images and videos on Instagram Stories, some of which included Cortese opening baby gifts.

Much of the first season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation focused on Giancola’s absence, with quite a few jokes being made at her expense — mostly stemming from the fact that Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio brought in a custom, life-size doll wearing an “I’m in a really good place” shirt and designed to look and talk just like her (“Rahhhhhnnnn! Staaaaahhhhp!“).

During the premiere, Ortiz-Magro also admitted to cheating on Giancola after they moved in together following Jersey Shore.

Boy with Cancer Who Took Picture With MLB Star Reunites With Him 13 Years Later as a Dodger

When Devin Smeltzer was just 9 years old, the young Philadelphia Phillies fan found himself frequently feeling the urge to go to the bathroom. Doctors would soon find a grapefruit-sized tumor pressing against his bladder, and he was diagnosed with cancer just a month before his 10th birthday.

Smeltzer, who started playing baseball when he was just 4 years old, found a bit of happiness while going through treatment when he was able to take to the field. The game of baseball gave Smeltzer a feeling of normalcy as going to crowded places like school and church were taken away because of his compromised immune system, he told Spectrum Sportsnet.

Smeltzer got his chance to mingle with major league players in 2006 when he visited Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, the home of his favorite MLB team. It was there that Smeltzer—who, at that point, had lost his hair due to chemotherapy and radiation treatment for his pelvic rhabdomyosarcoma—was able to spend time with two of the Phillies’ players, pitcher Cole Hamels, and second-baseman, Chase Utley. A picture was taken of Utley signing his autograph on a Phillies hat for an eager Smeltzer, who was then a patient at St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

“The picture of me and Chase has been in the living room for a long time,” Smeltzer, 22, told the news outlet. “When I go back home, it’s always very humbling to see that picture because of where I’m at today. It’s crazy to believe that I was going through such a hard time at such a young age, and how far I’ve grown.”

In the years since, Smeltzer has maintained his love of baseball, and continued playing the game when he entered college. In 2016, he was selected in the fifth round of the MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his cancer is now in remission, according to the LA Daily News. A year before Smeltzer’s selection in the draft, Chase Utley was traded from the Phillies to the Dodgers, where he has played ever since.

Smeltzer has since been a pitcher in the Dodgers’ farm system in the minor leagues, and during spring training this year, the team brought him into the clubhouse where manager Dave Roberts had the picture of Smeltzer and Utley in hand.

After telling the team Smeltzer’s unlikely story, Utley and the pitching prospect had a chance to reunite, more than a decade after taking their picture together in Philadelphia.

“I was able to play through it,” Smeltzer said to Utley in the Dodgers clubhouse. “I just wanted to thank you for everything you did. It means a lot.”

Smeltzer is now leading a campaign to raise funds for Katie’s Krusaders, an organization that provides financial and personal support for kids with cancer or other childhood diseases. He hopes to raise money for every strikeout he throws this season, so he can help other children who are in the same position he once was.

“It’s a pretty special and unique story with Devin,” Utley told Sportsnet of Smeltzer. “I can’t even imagine what he was going through, what his parents were going through… Hopefully, at some point, he’ll be pitching at Dodger Stadium.”

Together Again! Lucy Hale Reunites with Her Pretty Little Liars Costar Ian Harding

Attention, Pretty Little Liars fans: Ezra and Aria are still going strong!

Lucy Hale shared a photo from a recent reunion with her former onscreen love interest Ian Harding on Instagram Sunday. The photo, which appears to have been taken in a hotel lobby, shows both stars dressed for the cold weather: the 28-year-old actress donning a long grey jacket and blue baseball cap, while Harding, 31, wears khaki pants, navy coat and a beanie.

“Look who I found in Chicago,” the Life Sentence star captioned her picture.

Pretty Little Liars wrapped its seven-season run on Freeform (previously ABC Family) last June with their characters tying the knot in the series finale after a complicated relationship.

PEOPLE caught up with Hale at The CW upfront in New York City last year, where she responded to Harding’s hilarious memoir revelation that he “flossed at least three times” and “gargled between every take” while shooting their first kiss in PLL‘s pilot.

“Not towards the end, he didn’t!” said the Truth or Dare star with a laugh. “I think when we started working with each other we were both super nervous and making sure we were in tip-top shape, and then towards the end we didn’t care.”

Hale did admit to having a crush on Harding IRL during season one of the series during a game of “Never Have I Ever” with her PLL castmates on Ellen DeGeneres’ online “Show Me More Show.”

“Whatever, I was 20,” she revealed after initially saying she wasn’t going to name her love interest.

Best Friends Forever: 4-Year-Old Blind Girl Reunites with Beloved Missing Cat

A pure white cat, Angel was literally a bright spot in her family’s life.

So when Angel escaped from her Pensacola, Florida, home and went missing in September, it was a dark time for Heather Howell and her 4-year-old daughter Charley, who is blind and battling brain cancer.

According to WEAR, Howell searched for the cat and went to Facebook for help, desperate to reunite Charley with her furry best friend.

“We went to the shelter a couple of different times and looked and called them several different times. I looked on Pet Harbor, I probably looked on that thing once a night,” said Howell.

It ended up being by chance that Howell found Angel again: She spotted the stunning cat on Facebook being adopted by another family. Angel was reportedly surrendered to a local shelter by individuals claiming to be the cat’s owner, and the shelter then put the sweet cat up for adoption.

Eventually, Howell was able to get in touch with the family who adopted Angel and explained the situation to them.

Even though Vanessa Hilliard adopted the cat for her own daughter, she immediately understood that Angel belong with her original family.

“I believe if anyone was in our position or predicament would’ve done the same thing,” Hilliard said.

The Hilliards hand-delivered Angel back to Charley so they could watch the adorable reunion play out in real-time.

If they had any doubts about where Angel belonged, the cat’s reaction made it clear that they made the right choice.

“That was the calmest she was since she’s been with us when she heard her voice,” Hilliard said about the cat’s behavior upon seeing Charley again.

The ‘Dodgeball’ Cast Reunites For What’s Basically ‘Dodgeball 2’

The thought of getting an actual “Dodgeball 2” is really a true underdog story.

In lieu of that, the cast of “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” has reunited for a four-minute video that’s essentially a sequel to the film.

In the new video from Omaze, Ben Stiller meets up with Vince Vaughn, Justin Long and Christine Taylor ― despite the pair’s recent real-life separation ― in honor of an upcoming dodgeball game for charity.

You can get involved, too. In between getting back into their movie characters and hitting Justin Long in the head with a wrench, Stiller and the others implore people to enter online for a chance to play dodgeball with them and support the The Stiller Foundation

Las Vegas Reunites Rat Pack with Sammy Davis, Jr. Street Naming

For both his children and millions of his fans, the dedication of Sammy Davis Jr. Drive in Las Vegas on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 is a fitting commemoration of the legacy of the legendary entertainer and a living reminder of the lasting contributions he made to the city he loved. The intersection of the newly named avenue (formerly known as Industrial Road) with Frank Sinatra Drive and Dean Martin Drive also pays symbolic tribute to the historic “Rat Pack” that did so much to build Las Vegas into a thriving destination.

Known as “Mr. Show Business,” Sammy had a storied career beginning in vaudeville at age 3. His major credits include the hit songs Candy Man and What Kind of Fool Am I, Broadway plays Golden Boy and Mr. Wonderful and the Rat Pack film Oceans 11.

“My father was the true American dream,” explains Manny Davis, Sammy’s son and administrator of his estate. “He had little education and had enormous adversity to overcome. He put himself through the fire because he had something to prove to himself and to society that nothing could keep him down. Some people were not as courageous to stand up to the oppression of his time. But Sammy did, and he gained the respect of all of his peers, white and black, men and women.”

“The dedication means a lot to our family because Vegas wasn’t always town that was tolerant of African Americans. Dad had to go through the back doors and got substandard treatment at all times. Frank Sinatra saw the dehumanization, and the Rat Pack all took a stand. Thanks to their courage, Sammy helped integrate the city, and the impact on the Civil Rights Movement reverberated throughout the country.”

Manny also sees his father as a trailblazer not only in civil rights but also as an artist and a style maker. “The glamorous lifestyle that is so familiar in the lives of entertainers and movie stars of today was all but forbidden and uncool for African American artists before my father’s time. It started with Sammy Davis, Jr., and I love the fact that he did it. He showed that an African American superstar could work with anyone. The sky was the limit. His music is timeless and will always speak to me and millions of others because he came from a time when the words to the music actually meant something. Every time I listen to a song of his, I feel the truth in the words, and it makes me cry. It seems like it applies directly to my life.”

Manny believes the timing of the Las Vegas ceremony twenty-five years after Sammy’s death coincides with a new surge to bring his life’s work to new audiences. A feature film, a Broadway musical, documentaries and a new biography are on the drawing board. “We get offers but not all deals are good deals, so we have to be selective. There’s always talk of a movie based on his life. I think it would be a tremendous challenge for an actor because Sammy was so talented at so many things, singing, dancing, acting, comedy and more. I’m glad that no one expects me to be like Sammy Davis, Jr. because it’s damn near impossible. Anyone who is going to play his role is going to have to do his homework. He’ll have to be really good.”

Cindy Crawford Reunites With ’90s Supermodels for an Epic Photo Shoot

Before the Insta-models of today (Kendall, Gigi, Karlie), there were the ’90s supermodels (Cindy, Naomi, Christy). Like the Insta-models, beyond being impossibly beautiful and incredibly photogenic, the ’90s supers all seemed like really great friends, making them even more fascinating. They walked in runway shows hand-in-hand, attended parties together, and even went into business together (anyone remember when Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington opened the Fashion Cafe in NYC?). Turns out, they still get along 30 years later.

Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Karen Alexander, Nadja Auermann, Helena Christensen, and Tatjana Patitz have come together for “The Reunion,” a shoot and video by iconic ’90s shutterbug Peter Lindbergh. The shoot, on Nowness, went completely retro, with a team straight out of the ’90s image-makers, including stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele; hairstylist Oribe; and makeup artist Fulvia Farolfi.

Watch the full video here:

And then really take a trip down memory lane and watch the supers lip-synch it out in George Michael’s 1990 video for “Freedom,” which was also styled by Cerf de Dudzeele (a masterpiece, if we do say so ourselves!).

TV TONIGHT: ‘Day Of The Doctor’ Reunites Three Time Lords – Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt In 50th Birthday Special

When is a TV show more than a TV show?

When it’s the 50th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’, being shown on cinema screens around the world, amid plot hints and red herrings by writers, storyline clues pounced upon and debated by eager fans,

Because Steven Moffat and his team have been successfully secretive about the events around tonight’s festivities, we only know some bare bones.

Special guests at tonight’s party include Daleks, Zygons and Elizabeth I. Current companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) is joined by a familiar face in Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), during three unfolding plots set in different times, destined to unite in one almighty battle.

Ingrid Oliver, Jemma Redgrave and Joanna Page are also on board, but the real birthday boys are Matt Smith and David Tennant, a combination enough to keep any more recent fans happy, plus the tantalising reappearance of John Hurt to explain away all those elliptical statements we’ve received thus far.

Who’d have thought a grouchy, grandfatherly figure would have stepped into a police telephone box in 1963 and, fifty years later, still keep us guessing?
