Maria Menounos Marries Keven Undergaro (Again!) in Greece — See the Stunning Photos

Maria Menounos has tied the knot with Keven Undergaro again!

After saying “I do” in an impromptu New Year’s Eve ceremony last year, Menounos, 40, and Undergaro, 50, celebrated their love in another ceremony on Saturday, PEOPLE has confirmed.

For her second ceremony, the TV journalist swapped the couple’s first wedding‘s Times Square venue for her family’s homeland of Greece.

Leading up to the big day, Menounos told Us Weekly — which first reported the wedding news — that her father was planning the nuptials, jokingly calling him a “bridezilla.”

The happy bride has yet to share snaps from the ceremony, but her wedding dress designer on Saturday shared the first photo of the bride’s elegant gown.

“First fitting in LA for @mariamenounos,” designer Celia Kritharioti wrote alongside an image of Menounos wearing the lace-covered, off-the-shoulder dress.

After 20 years together, just before midnight on Dec. 31, 2017, the pair first tied the knot as Steve Harvey officiated.

Before leaving for the ceremony on Saturday, Menounos also took a moment to share just how excited and thankful she felt.

“I’ve been planning this for maybe a month but really been planning this for a long time in my heart because I always wanted to return to Greece and do our wedding here,” she shared. “Greece means so much to us and our village and our roots and i’m so beyond thankful to all of our friends who put this together.”

“Honestly i feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” she continued. “I have the best husband, I have the best family, nothing is without its problems and nothing’s perfect but I am so blessed and so so happy today that we get to do this amazing wedding in this beautiful village that I want to move to although I think Keven may divorce me and that would kind of suck.”

For Menounos’ first wedding, the bride wore a Pronovias strapless lace “Randala”-designed gown with a matching lace detachable coat, while Undergaro opted for a Ralph Lauren tux. The two exchanged their own vows with rings by Jean Doussett while their parents, including Menounos’ mom, Litsa, who is battling stage-4 brain cancer, watched nearby.

“I really truly believe that it’s taken us this long because of the pressures of putting a wedding together,” Menounos, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in summer 2017, told PEOPLE at the time. “I’ve always wanted it to be super intimate and even though this is the opposite, we can only invite our immediate family, so the pressure of who to invite is gone. This was just so perfect.”

See the Stunning Pearl Brooch That Belonged to Marie-Antoinette and Is Now Up for Auction

Marie-Antoinette‘s love of jewelry created scandal and public uprising. Ultimately, it caused the fall of France’s royal court and her death.

Two hundred years later, one surviving piece — unseen for 200 years — is set to go up for auction. Estimated value: $ 1,000,000 to $ 2,000,000.

The exceptional diamond and pearl brooch is being offered by Sotheby’s in Geneva as part of a collection of pieces from the royal house of Bourbon-Parma that will go on an international tour this fall.

History recognizes Marie-Antoinette’s indulgences, excesses and involvement in the “affair of the diamond necklace,” a piece so elaborate and rare that its expense, enmeshed in a failed cover-up, roiled a tabloid-like mix of outrage and scandal. When the rumors became public trials, they turned the French against their once-popular, Austrian-born queen and sealed her eventual fate.

(She was beheaded on October 16, 1793.)

No less an authority on French history than Napoleon himself believed the necklace to be at the core of the public backlash. “The Queen’s death,” he mused while in exile on Elba, “must be dated from that diamond necklace trial.”

The diamond bow brooch with pearl droplet that is now being auctioned has an intriguing tale of its own. Legend suggests that when King Louis XVI, Marie-Antoinette and their children attempted to flee France in 1791, the droplet pearl and other priceless pieces, individually wrapped in cotton, were sent by different routes to Brussels. While the royals were captured in flight and returned to Paris, the wooden chest containing the jewels arrived safely in Belgium. The jewels then journeyed to Vienna, entrusted to Marie Antoinette’s cousin, Austrian Emperor Francis II.

Caught as the Revolution darkened into the Reign of Terror, the royal family were eventually imprisoned. The king and queen were placed on trial separately and both executed.

However, their oldest child, the teenage Marie-Thérese, would become the only member of the royal family to survive. Held in solitary confinement, “Madame Royale” was finally released on the eve of her 17th birthday. Arriving in Vienna in Jan. 1796, she reclaimed her mother’s jewels, which have since passed down in the Bourbon-Parma line.

Along with the pearl brooch, the upcoming sale includes two additional pieces that reflect the splendor of Versailles, including a 331-pearl diamond clasped necklace (estimated value: $ 200,000 to $ 300,000) and a pair of diamond-capped pearl earrings (estimated at $ 30,000 to $ 50,000).

RELATED VIDEO: Marie-Antoinette’s Secret Love

“It is a privilege to have been entrusted with this collection, certainly one of the most important royal collections ever to come to auction,” Sotheby’s Deputy Chairman for Jewelry in Europe, Daniela Mascetta, tells PEOPLE. “These are never-before-seen treasures from one of the most illustrious royal families in Europe. Each aspect of the research is exciting, from the historical provenance — including, of course, Marie-Antoinette — to the rarity and craftsmanship of the pieces, which are exquisite in their own right.”

The November auction is the second involving Marie-Antoinette’s jewels to come under Sotheby’s hammer this year. In May, the auction house sold the celebrated 6.16 carat heart-shaped Farnese Blue diamond, which had once belonged to the French queen, for $ 6.7 million.

The Royal Jewels from the Bourbon Parma Family collection will be auctioned in Geneva on November 12. Before its sale, it can be seen in a traveling exhibition visiting eight cities including Munich, New York (Oct. 12 to 16) and London (Oct. 20 to 22).

Prince Louis Official Christening Portraits Are Here: See All 4 Stunning Photos!

Prince Louis’ official christening portraits dropped Sunday — and they are a royal dream.

The four stunning photos share a few fun similarities (and surprising differences!) with big brother Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s christenings photos.

Proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton chose Matt Holyoak, one of the world’s leading portrait photographers, to take the photos, which were taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House (grandpa Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall‘s official London residence), following the little prince’s baptism in the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace.

The first photo features Will, Kate and their three children along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Kate’s family, including Carole and Michael Middleton, James Middleton, Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews.

The second photo includes just the royal family members, while the third photo showcases the new family of five. Kate and her baby boy, Louis, take center stage in the fourth photo.

The family is surrounded by history in Clarence House’s Morning Room. The sofa they are seated around is part of a suite of gilt-wood seat furniture by Thomas Chippendale, which dates from about 1773. It is thought to have been commissioned by George III’s brother, the Duke of Gloucester.

To the right is an oil on canvas portrait of Queen Elizabeth, by Michael Noakes, 1972-1973. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were unable to attend the christening due to the monarch’s busy schedule last week and the week prior.

“I was truly honored at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event,” Holyoak said in a statement. “Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure. I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs.”

Holyoak has worked with the royal family before and was behind the gorgeous portraits taken of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to mark their 70th wedding anniversary last year.

George’s portraits were taken by celebrity photographer Jason Bell in the Morning Room at Clarence House as well, immediately following the ceremony at St. James’s Palace in 2013. One of the historic portraits features Queen Elizabeth sitting with her three heirs: Charles, William and George.

Charlotte’s 2015 christening portraits were taken by famed photographer Mario Testino, a favorite of William’s late mother, Princess Diana. Testino snapped the impeccably candid images during the family’s intimate post-christening gathering at Sandringham House, Queen Elizabeth’s Norfolk country home.

Royal family members, including the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla – along with Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her siblings Pippa and James – assembled at Sandringham for afternoon tea following the church service.

Testino also snapped a portrait of Charlotte along with the four generations of British heirs – the Queen, Charles, William and George, who were first photographed together on George’s 2013 christening day – and the Middleton family joined in as well.

The royal family gathered together on Monday to celebrate Louis’ christening at the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace in London.

Cardi B Gives a Close-Up Look at Her Stunning 8-Carat Engagement Ring

Cardi B is treating us all to a closer look at her stunning engagement ring.

On Friday, the rapper and Migos’ Offset got engaged onstage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia—and later she shared a 360° view of the 8-carat diamond on her Instagram.

“I just want to go to sleep and wake up and make sure this ain’t a dream.Thank you God for all these blessings. Thank you babe @offsetyrn God really sent you to me,” she wrote alongside the video of her pear-shaped ring.

In a video of the proposal shared by the Wells Fargo Center on Twitter, Offset drops to one knee as fans scream wildly. Cardi B couldn’t contain her surprise or excitement, gesturing wildly as she stared at the ring he held out to her.

She appeared to say yes, despite the crowd’s cheers muffling her voice, with Offset standing up and calmly placing the ring on her finger. The rapper expressed her love by giving him a hug.

Shortly after the performance, Offset also shared a video of Cardi B’s 8-carat diamond ring on his Instagram story.

Cardi B followed up by sharing a photo of herself holding up the ring on Instagram, writing, “Jesus Christ I’m so emotional, @offsetyrn I loveee you so much .Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me .For giving me advice molding me and loving me .Your such a amazing man to me your family ,friends ,kids and you are extremely talented.I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you .Lets make a lot shmoney and love together “

The couple have been fending off engagement rumors for months, which began earlier this summer.

Cardi B quickly dispelled them, telling MTV during the 2017 VMA Pre-Show in August, “I’m a woman. Every woman, I think, wants to get married and wants to have children. It’s never too early to get married now. You know, if you want to propose to me, you can.”

When asked if she’d exert pressure on her partner to propose, the rapper said, “I don’t gotta put the pressure, you know what I’m saying? I put it down. Ain’t no pressure, baby!”

Cardi B and Offset began dating earlier this year.

Stunning ‘Scandal’ Monologue Captures The Emotional Burden Black Women Carry

During the “Scandal” season finale, Mama Pope spoke to a truth that many black women deeply understand.

While being detained for conspiring to kill the president-elect, Olivia’s mom, Maya (played by Khandi Alexander), addresses her ex-husband, Eli, whom she accurately suspects is behind her arrest.

Maya pleads her case to Eli, who’s behind a one-way window, insisting that she’s in Washington, D.C. to help protect their daughter.

She comes to the realization that Eli thinks he doesn’t need her help. Every second of her monologue is a seething reminder of how tragically under-appreciated, devalued and disrespected black women are by everyone, including black men:

“Damn shame. I tell you… being a black woman. Be strong, they say. Support your man, raise your man, think like a man. Well damn, I gotta do all that? Who’s out here working for me, carrying my burden, building me up when I get down? Nobody. Black women out here trying to save everybody and what do we get? Swagger jacked by white girls wearing cornrows and bamboo earrings. Ain’t that a bitch? But we still try. Try to help all y’all. Even when we get nothing. Is that admirable or ridiculous? I don’t know.”

The scene was shared on “Scandal’s” Facebook page on Thursday, and it’s been viewed more than 2.4 million times. Many people commented about how much Maya’s monologue resonates with them.

“I had all of the feels and the chills during this monologue,” Carla Bronner wrote. “This is a description of African-American women’s lives that only A-A women can write (thank you, Shonda) and speak fierce authenticity (thank you Khandi Alexander).”

Facebook user, Kay Lowe, echoed that sentiment. “If this does not speak to the souls of black women…past and present…feels sudden urge to *stomp feet? Amen? Shout?…so many feelings*…that is an EMMY award by itself. That moment in TV right there….#TRUTH,” she said.

Folks on Twitter weighed in, too.

Model Who Used To Eat 500 Calories A Day Shares Stunning Transformation

Horror stories from within the modeling industry are all too common, but each time a new one comes out, it serves as an opportunity to highlight the change that needs to happen toward a healthier, more inclusive environment. It also provides an outlet for the brave women who share those stories.

Liza Golden-Bhojwani, a model who currently lives in India, has been in and out of the modeling industry over the years, most recently getting back to work in 2016. She recently shared harrowing side-by-side images of herself ― one from her first Fashion Week in 2012, and one from today.

A little flashback Friday action for you. This caption will be long and won't fit, so if you'd like to read please find the rest in the comment section….The left side was me at the start of the peak of my career. My first proper fashion week where I was actually the size I needed to be. I was booking amazing shows that one never thinks they actually could, walking with girls who I once looked up to, it was a serious adrenaline rush…but after fainting one night in my apt whilst preparing one of my very low cal meals (I think it was 20 pieces of steamed edamame if I remember correctly), I called it quits with the diet and workout regime I was put on and decided I could do it on my own. I thought to myself, I can still be this thin, but I'll just eat a little more so I don't feel so horrible. Well, eating a little more turned into eating nearly a bag full of almonds, which then turned into eating full size meals, which then turned into a full blown binge. I was craving every single food you could imagine and I was giving in to every craving even though I knew this was such an important time in my career. I made it through NYFW okay, no one had noticed any weight gain, but by the time I had gotten the LFW I could see the pounds starting to show both in the mirror and on the measuring tape, but I kept quiet obviously not wanting to sabotage myself. I found myself going to the grocery store and picking up raw vegetables to try and make up for the near two week binge I had in NY, but I didn't see any weight coming off no matter how "healthy" I was eating and no matter how many workouts I fit in. MFW came and I knew I was bigger and by bigger I mean a 35.5in hip rather than the 34.5in hip I started with in NY, I played it cool and just pretended everything was normal. I did end up booking shows, Dolce & Gabbana being one of them. Which I afterwards received online criticism about my thighs looking fat…Anyways PFW came about, and I found it impossible to resist those chocolate croissants I went on many a casting with one exclusive option being on my schedule, but after meeting the client I knew the reason for me not nailing the gig, my size…

A post shared by Liza Golden-Bhojwani (@lizagoldenreal) on

In a lengthy accompanying caption, she heartbreakingly referred to her size in the left photo as what she “needed to be” to actually book runway jobs.

Bhojwani unraveled the struggle she faced during that first fateful string of shows, where she recalled eating 20 pieces of steamed edamame as a meal and binge eating her way up from a 34.5- to a 36.5-inch hip measurement throughout the month. She explained that as she traveled from London to Milan to Paris, the show offers dwindled. “I knew the reason for me not nailing the gig, my size,” she wrote.

I just wanted to put this out there… if you see me hashtag #unretouched on a photo, I truly mean it is not retouched at all. My husband shoots with me an i7plus or a Canon G9x in my personal pics…I have been modelling for 10 years and counting, so I know how to pose, angle my body, and I know what light works. All it really takes is good lighting to get a pretty amazing photo even with an iPhone! I have no reason to lie about photoshopping, I am constantly photoshopped in most of my photos because I am a model and at the end of the day whatever the client wants is what they get…On another note, for those of you who are constantly telling me to exercise save your breath! For the 20th time, I work out 5 times a week with a personal trainer, I have toned my stomach/bum up a lot in the past few weeks, clearly enough to make some of you think I'm sitting around photoshopping my candid insta pics. If you're looking for a size 0 model, unfollow me, get off my page, and follow someone else. That's not me, and never will be me again. I am the healthiest and strongest I have ever been. And that is all I care about. Before you open your mouth to comment on someone else's physical appearance on social media, look in the mirror and ask yourself "Do I love myself?". If you truly love yourself, you would never publicly abuse another human being with harsh words and comments. Freedom of speech does not mean you should feel free to abuse people. Spread love, not hate. #loveyourself #unretouched #naturallight #thisisme #effyourbeautystandards #shineon #bodypositive #lovetheskinyourein Photo credit: @thirdeyejedi

A post shared by Liza Golden-Bhojwani (@lizagoldenreal) on

In 2014, she decided to revisit modeling and got into shape in a healthier way, through exercise and a more sustainable diet. But even though she called it the most fit she’d been in her life, it still wasn’t enough “for the likes of VS [Victoria’s Secret] or other brands.”

It was on a trip to India, Bhojwani explained, when things changed. She met her now husband, picked up all her belongings and moved there. Now not only does she have a healthier outlook on life, but she also has a totally different relationship with her body.

“The picture on the right of me as of right now, my body as it is,” she wrote. “Not perfect, not show ready or VS ready, not the best, but it is mine and my soul is happy.”

Bhowjani also wrote that now she works out, eats what she wants without feeling guilty about it and does it all solely for herself. “Maybe I wasn’t made to be on the covers of magazines and shooting the biggest and best brands, but I was made for a reason,” she wrote. “I do deserve to be happy and feel fulfilled. We all do. Maybe I was made to share this story and spread the message of body love to all the women out there struggling.”

While we wouldn’t exactly agree that Bhojwani doesn’t belong as the front of a major photoshoot, we are inspired by her honesty, her story and her words of self-love.

All white everything ❤ #bodylove #loveyourself #effyourbeautystandards

When photographer David Tesinsky first heard about Malu, a transgender woman who has achieved somewhat of a celebrity status in her native Cuba, he instantly wanted to meet her.

Tesinsky, who hails from the Czech Republic, has always highlighted what he describes as “subcultural” groups in his work; he has previously documented homeless Parisians, youth activists in Iran and queer rights advocates in Belarus. He told The Huffington Post that when he finally made it to Cuba in January, he was immediately struck by Malu’s determination to live authentically, in spite of the political and social challenges the Cuban LGBTQ community continues to face.

A performer at a local theater, Malu is one of three subjects that Tesinsky captured for his “Before Night Falls” series. The others, Natasha and Alina, identify as gay men. Still, both challenge gender stereotypes in their own right, making a second living as drag performers in Havana nightclubs.

“I’m inspired by contrast,” Tesinsky told The Huffington Post. “That somebody could just be selling fruits and vegetables during the day for a living, and then can turn into a queen of the evening on stage at night,” he said. He was struck by what he describes as a lack of a distinctive “community” in the traditional sense as far as queer Cubans are concerned. “They keep it very low profile,” he said.

Tesinsky, who plans to visit Israel and Mongolia next, hopes his Cuba photographs will shed some light on how LGBTQ people are exploring gender and identity on the stage “in a country where these things haven’t been tolerated” at all until recently.

Check out “Before Night Falls” below, and view more of Tesinsky’s work here

“Everest” Is a Stunning View of Man vs the Elements

Movie Review – Jackie K Cooper
“Everest” (Universal Pictures)

“Everest” is a movie of grandeur and beauty. This is because cinematographer Salvatore Totino made the mountains of Nepal his star and created one breathtaking sweeping shot after another. If ever a movie justifies the large screen, 3-D experience this one does, for this is a visual film from beginning to end. Because of this emphasis on the scenic the depth of the characters’ stories are trimmed, but it doesn’t matter. You still have a totally visceral experience due to the majesty of the mountain.

The story is based on the true experience of two teams of mountain climbers who head to the top of Mount Everest in the early months of 1966. Leading the teams are Rob Hall (Jason Clarke) and Scott Fischer (Jake Gyllenhaal), two men who have a lot of experience making this climb. The film focuses on the initial meetings with the climbers and continues through the descent from the top of Everest. In between there is a lot of drama and death.

Even though there is not a lot of depth to Clarke’s character this is his breakout role. He is the leading man of this movie and you never forget it. He has been circling stardom for some time now and this movie is where he gets that one big break. As his wife Jan, Keira Knightley brings an emotional clout to the story another less talented actress might have squandered.

There is a rich, supporting cast in this film. Robin Wright is a cold, standoffish wife, Josh Brolin is a brash Texas moneyman, Emily Watson is the business person behind the climb, and Michael Kelly is Jon Krakauer, the man who wrote a book about the climb. Gyllenhaal is touted as being one of the stars but his too is mainly a supporting role.

The film raises the question as to why people would attempt such a wild adventure as climbing Everest. They certainly aren’t kids off on a fling as they all appear to be over forty. But the answer is never found or shown. The mountain is just there and it is the highest point in the world. And as one character gloomily reflects, “The mountain always gets the last word”.

The film is rated PG-13 for violence.

“Everest” is worth seeing because of the visual beauty and daring camerawork involved. The story itself is a downer and makes the folly of such a trek the idea you remember most. If you do decide to see it make sure you get the 3-D, large screen treatment. It is so involving you leave the theater checking for frostbite.

I scored “Everest” an icy 7 out of 10.

Trillions of Digital Photos Stored in “Clouds” But “Inkdot” Brings Them Back to Stunning Life on New Mediums

2015-09-04-1441382138-6662919-8.jpeg

Photos, photos everywhere…and, not one to hold. Inkdot’s changing that!

With the NFL season kicking off this week (September 10), it means summer is evolving into colorful Autumn, and people will be snapping photos of sports events, favorite concerts, fall weddings, first day of school for the kiddos, cute pets and breathtaking travel scenes, while taking the ubiquitous selfie. We just can’t seem to get enough of taking photos. Yet, the oldest known photograph with a person was only taken in 1838, depicting a man in Paris getting his shoes shined.

2015-09-04-1441383063-6230220-Boulevard_du_Temple_by_Daguerre.jpg

Boulevard du Temple – by Louis Daguerre in Paris 1838

Now it’s estimated there’ll be one trillion photos taken this year, and the total number of photos stored may reach 4.9 trillion in 2017. Hello, that’s a lot of terabytes! Indeed, the recent World Photo Day (August 19) underscored our growing fascination with snapping everything and everybody.

And although eccentric British photographer David Bailey once suggested that it “takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer,” quality photography has indeed come to us masses.

John & Nate Larkin bring memorable digital images to life in dramatic mediums

Chicago-based John Larkin, co-founder with his brother Nate of cutting edge and specialized online print company “Inkdot,” says that the invention of camera phones, especially the iPhone, has changed the whole game.

Every day there’s an incredible photo that comes through that was taken on an iPhone. Now everyone is able to capture quality shots, with a professional look about them. They don’t have to carry around a big camera, so it’s super convenient, they’re grabbing these spontaneous, quality moments and the images deserve to come to life again, in a tactile, creative and fun way — instead of only being shared on Facebook or Instagram.

2015-09-04-1441385735-9241578-14.jpeg

Sunrise captured on 24×36 Wood Print

The Larkin brothers were introduced to me by an associate of mine and a marketing expert Jonathan Stuart, whom I’ve worked with on several high profile athlete blogs for international platforms. Jonathan, whose Greay Area consultancy service helps clients cut through the noise, says the key to Inkdot’s success is its focus on creating distinctive and premium products, as opposed to churning out sub-par prints like many online photo-printing-sites.

So I checked out some of Inkdot’s unique products and discovered that by uploading one of your cool digital images from Instagram, Facebook or your computer to their website, you can pick hip “material” options for sporting your great image, including: immortalize your favorite event (like a sports score celebration or outstanding concert) by getting the shot printed on cool coasters or on a square print; create a memorable piece of art out of your stored wedding pix or recent vacation photos printed directly into natural wood; you can embed your back-to-school kids’ images off your phone into aluminum, giving it a long-lasting vibrancy; better still, do yourself a solid, grab a cute pet photo, and impress your lady by splashing her pooch’s mug on a throw pillow or tote bag; or to really rock out, use Stiick, a special magnetic frame to show off your special photos.

Wedding bliss and shenanigans on Coasters!

Holding a vacation memory on a Square Paper Print

Nate Larkin offers:

People take photos and the only feedback is from sharing on social media platforms and getting likes. But with Inkdot, people can see their photos printed in a tactile, tangible way, something you can hold in your hand, and easily put up in your house, something you can experience every day. The nice thing about the Wood Print is that it comes ready to hang, you don’t need to put it in a frame and pay extra. And, our distinctive printed products return you to that memory, and help bring the stories behind the photos back to life again.

The Larkins, who have a wide-format printing background working in their father’s business, feel they’ve caught the right wave with their business, brought on by the affordability and progress of printer technology and the growth of high quality photos.

John explains, “We didn’t want to focus on printing every photo but wanted to print those unique images — while also thinking, let’s pair it with some really cool, high-end materials.” Nate smoothly continues, “We were really testing the assumption that you can only print on certain materials, like paper. By using different grades of wood, we were creating our own medium to print on.”

2015-09-04-1441388355-7595859-13_noborder.jpg

On the wall, Golden Gate Bridge captured on 24×36 Wood Print

In their ongoing goal to create new mediums and a new sort of art, the brothers also feature select artists and designers whose related products are available to customers in Inkdot’s “marketplace.” John explains, “By hosting different digital artists, we’re promoting their designs to work in combination with what our clients want.”

But the Larkins have also glommed onto another change, as Nate suggests:

There’s been a lull in printing, with people storing all those digital photos. But now it’s coming back to people remembering those photo albums they used to go through at their parents’ house, and now wanting to experience that again. We see this push back to printing physical photos. And the response we’re getting, especially with material like our Wood Prints and Metal Prints, people are blown away by the quality. We’re not here to print every photo that’s taken on an iPhone. We’re here to print those special photos that mean a lot, and need to be shared with loved ones, friends and family.

2015-09-04-1441388992-8107099-1.jpeg

Sharing special and fun photos on 12×12 Wood Prints

Speaking of family, the Larkin brothers pride themselves on being a family business with John adding:

We’re constantly making sure our products are the best and really take satisfaction in what we do. It’s a family business and we’re going to be around for awhile. We want to grow an awareness about what’s possible. People often leave their photos in the ‘App’ and they don’t actually have the original image stored anywhere. Or, they still aren’t sure that they can print their photos from Instagram. Or that iPhone quality is now good enough to blow up to 24 x 36 size print. So bring us your wedding, memorable event, travel, cute kid or pet images, and we’ll creatively bring your stories and memories back to life.

Follow Inkdot on Instagram and Facebook.

3 Fascinating Things About Queen Maxima’s Stunning Pearl Tiara

queen-maxima-pearl-diamond-crown-tiara

The Netherlands’ Queen Maxima stepped out last night in a lacy, marigold-colo off-the-shoulder Valentino gown accessorized with the world’s most prestigious extra: a gorgeous, crazy glamorous tiara. This one is commonly known as the Württemberg Tiara, and, no surprise, it has a lot of history in the royal fam.

The common name is a misnomer. The name it typically goes by reflects the fact that it was long thought to have been a wedding gift to Princess Sophie of Württemberg when she married into the Dutch royal family in 1839. However, pics found later showed that it was created for Queen Wilhelmina in 1897 by the royal family’s official jeweler, Royal Begeer.

The top pearl drops are detachable. Love an accessory that can be worn multiple ways!

It was a former queen’s favorite. Queen Maxima’s mother-in-law, former Queen Beatrix, wore the tiara when she was married in 1966 and the night before she abdicated the throne, in 2013.

Maxima wore the piece to the gala dinner for the members of the Corps Diplomatique that happened in Amsterdam on Wednesday.

The Interior Department’s Stunning Instagram Photos Will Help You Find Your Inner Explorer

It’s officially summer, season of beaches, iced coffee and, of course, the great outdoors.

The Department of the Interior has been chronicling the beauty of America’s public lands on its Instagram account. The photos, taken by parkgoers, department employees and sometimes even Interior Secretary Sally Jewell, feature stunning vistas and the more-than-occasional baby animal.

Americans have quite a few options when it comes to exploring the natural world. Nearly one-fifth of the landmass of the United States is protected land managed by the DOI. This includes more than 400 national park sites (find one near you here) overseen by the National Park Service, a division of the agency. The NPS is celebrating its centennial next year, and has been actively encouraging people to get out there and “Find Your Park.”

Below, take a look at some of the spectacular photos — baby animals included — that have been featured on the department’s account over the past few weeks. If you’ve taken a photo of America’s public lands, you can upload them here for a chance to have them featured on the DOI account. Follow along throughout the rest of the year @usinterior.

16 Women Share Their ‘Perfect Imperfections’ In Mom’s Stunning Photo Series

Photographer Neely Ker-Fox knows what it’s like to struggle with body image issues during and after pregnancy. After giving birth to her second child, she had stretch marks and extra skin, as well as back problems that required physical therapy. “I no longer recognized my own body,” she told The Huffington Post.

Inspired by empowering photo projects like Ashlee Wells Jackson’s “4th Trimester Bodies”, Jade Beall’s “A Beautiful Body” and January Harshe’s #takebackpostpartum campaign, Ker-Fox decided to join in the dialogue that was taking place about women’s postpartum bodies.

“I was compelled to bring the same opportunities for women in my own community to have access to a chance to embrace their bodies, address their insecurities and hopefully feel empowered.” Ker-Fox created “Perfect Imperfections” — a photo series that featured friends and neighbors posing in a stripped down state and in many cases, with their children.

Ker-Fox said she wanted “to make these women see how beautiful they were, to truly do something empowering with their vulnerability and bravery.” She wrote a blog post about her hopes and goals for the project and then posted a callout on social media. The response was “overwhelming” and she received messages from about 30 women, 16 of whom she was able to photograph in the studio.

beautiful imperfections

To help her subjects feel empowered through the project, the photographer took some similarly raw photos of herself first. “I wanted to know how these women would feel on the other side of my camera,” she said. “I felt I couldn’t truly understand the feeling of being stripped down to such a vulnerable position without myself standing in their place.”

Believing that art and photography have the ability to heal, Ker-Fox was proud to help women of different ages and from different backgrounds work through their various struggles, from physical and emotional pain to fertility issues to postpartum challenges. She even photographed a little girl with spina bifida, whose mother wanted to give her a moment to truly shine. “This project is so much more than photos of stretch marks, or cellulite,” the photographer said. “It’s about women coming out of the shadows and discussing their everyday struggles in an effort to normalize, to empower, and to educate.”

Ultimately, she hopes that sharing these images will inspire future generations — especially her own children. “The more society is exposed to these real people, the more women will feel empowered to talk about postpartum, fertility issues, postpartum depression, bullying, and the more others can find peace in knowing they are not alone in their struggles,” she said. “At our core we simply need to know that we are not alone.”

For the photographer, creating this series has been a personal healing experience as well. “These lines, these battle scars of life, I will carry them with me until the day I die,” she said.

In the future, Ker-Fox would like to broaden “Perfect Imperfections” to include more women and girls of various backgrounds and experiences and eventually, even male subjects. “Obviously women are more apt to be the victim of body shaming, or the seemingly rampant epidemic of mommy wars. But we as humans all have insecurities and we are all scarred, imperfect and flawed in some way physically and emotionally,” she said.

Keep scrolling and visit Neely Ker-Fox’s website to see her images and learn more about the project.

26 Stunning Photos Of Women’s Tattoos — And The Stories Behind Them

Tattoo artist Kat Von D once said, “I am a canvas of my experiences, my story is etched in lines and shading, and you can read it on my arms, my legs, my shoulders, and my stomach.”

Tattoos are stories — marked in ink and blood — quietly traveling around us all day on shoulder blades and wrists and across entire backs. These stories can be powerful, uplifting and even heart-wrenching. They can symbolize a life-changing event, they can be in memory of someone special, or they might exist simply because they’re beautiful.

We spoke with 26 women who shared photographs of their tattoos and the varied reasons they got them. Some tattoos came out of heartbreak, others from moments of celebration.

Here are 26 gorgeous images of women’s tattoos and the stories behind each of them:

Stunning Jennifer Aniston Throwback Will Give You Major ’90s Nostalgia

Jennifer Aniston was basically the quintessential ’90s woman. If you didn’t literally have the Rachel haircut, you probably at least tuned in to watch the character on “Friends” each week to idolize and/or fall in love with her.

Now, you can relive that magic with a #tbt photo depicting an approximately “Friends”-era Aniston. While taking over the Instagram handle of her beauty company Living Proof on Thursday, Aniston posted a vintage image of herself standing alongside friend and actress Andrea Bendewald.

50 Years Of ‘The Nutcracker’ Ballet, In Stunning Photos

“The Nutcracker” might be a family favorite today, but back in the 1890s, the uber-famous ballet was a critical flop.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky premiered his now internationally beloved ballet “The Nutcracker” in 1892. Choreographed by Marius Petipa and his assistant Lev Ivanov, audiences in St. Petersburg were not particularly taken with the performance, which was loosely based on the dark E.T.A. Hoffmann story, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.” Critics enjoyed the composition, but found the ballet and costumery itself to be lackluster. In reviews, writers singled out the Sugar Plum Fairy, harshly describing the dancer Antonietta Dell’Era as “pudgy.” All in all, it was not a success. And Tchaikovsky himself never saw the ballet gain in popularity.

1892 ballet “The Nutcracker” (Wikipedia)

Skip forward a century and a quarter, and “The Nutcracker” is by and large the most beloved ballet of the holiday season. It’s performed around the world as a staple of Christmas ritual, thanks almost entirely to a 20th century choreographer by the name of George Balanchine. He first staged the ballet in 1954, two decades after its debut in the United States, and his adaptation became a hit in New York City. “The first of his five full-length ballets, this was the Nutcracker that launched the hundreds of Nutcracker ballets that now dominate America’s Decembers,” Laura Jacobs writes in Vanity Fair.

Henceforth, Clara and Herr Drosselmeyer, the Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy — they became just as important a part of the winter pantheon as Frosty, the Grinch and Rudolph. In celebration of Nutcracker season, we went through the photographic archives to showcase a collection of vintage ballet snapshots. Behold, 50 years of the “The Nutcracker”:

In Stunning Twist, England Leaves United Kingdom Instead of Scotland!

In what is sure to take up at least a whole chapter in the history books, Prime Minister David Cameron delivered the stunning news that England is leaving the United Kingdom in order to pacify Scotland and that the latter will continue to stay in the union. Queen Elizabeth II will be going with England while Cameron will remain with the UK.

It is rumored that the British were forced to make this sudden decision when the Scots threatened to invade England wearing nothing but kilts — and more disturbingly — no underwear.

In a statement clearly intended to diffuse the growing tension between the two neighbors, Buckingham Palace said, “It is with a heavy heart that we do this but as we say in the stuffiest British tradition: needs must. We did everything we could to persuade the Scottish people to stay within the union but it became increasingly apparent that they just don’t care anymore. As a result, England was forced to make a sacrifice for the sake of everyone. Typical, isn’t it? Anyway, as the James Bond song goes: Nobody Does it Better, and so even though we are leaving, you can be sure we will look bloody good doing it!”

After its separation from the UK, England will no longer be part of the European Union nor will it continue using the pound, which itself will henceforth be called “the currency formerly known as the pound” since the Scots never liked the name. The new seat of government for the UK will be based in Scotland and its iconic flag, the Union Jack, will be replaced by the image of Sean Connery instead.

In celebration of the newfound influence of the land of its birth, Johnnie Walker will provide free scotch to everyone on the planet — except the English, of course — for six hours or until everyone is well and properly sloshed.

Speaking from a castle in the Scottish highlands, which will replace No. 10 Downing Street as David Cameron’s office, the prime minister said that he wishes England nothing but the best for the future but they should really go bugger themselves now that Scotland has emerged as the victor in this game of political brinksmanship. “We never really liked the English in the UK anyway,” he added with a wink.

The only blemish to the jubilation of the Scots has been NATO’s reaction to the news. The leading commander for NATO forces in Western Europe has indicated that the organization may have to kick the UK out because of the Scots. When pushed to clarify the reason for this unusual position, the commander answered, “It’s that damn bagpipe music the Scots are always playing! We have enough problems dealing with Russia without having to be assaulted by that cacophony. The English are annoyingly polite and boring to the point of physical pain but at least they are f—ing quiet.”

Still, according to a poll conducted in Scotland, most people feel that after the Ukrainian fiasco, NATO doesn’t have much credibility left anyway, so why worry about being expelled from the organization? It might actually save the UK some embarrassment if they weren’t part of NATO.

And the best part, according to the Scots, of England leaving the UK? The UK’s most famous alumnus and the reason that anybody even knows the British Secret Service — Sir Sean Connery, who can’t stand the English, has promised that he will return to the big screen as super-spy James Bond as soon as the English depart the scene. According to his agent, the legendary thespian looks forward to many new daring adventures, and to reconnecting with his old flame Pussy Galore.

Shark Attack Survivor, Mike Coots’s Stunning Instagram Photos Will Keep You Inspired

This is Mike Coots.

When he was 17 years old, he lost his right leg to a shark attack while surfing off waters in his home island of Kauai.

For some, his story might be terrifying just to hear, even 17 years later…

But for Coots, it’s just something you “gotta laugh” about.

While babysitting his six-year-old-nephew, this was presented to him: “It’s you, uncle Mike,” his nephew told him.

He has immense respect for the ocean and does his part in keeping it clean.

“We need to take better care of our oceans,” Coots writes. “Here is a crapload of net and rope this morning. Must of been a few hundred pounds.”

And he shows incredible compassion for the creature that once caused him so much pain.

Coots is an ambassador for the conservation of sharks. In 2010, he was part of the effort to pass a ban on the possession and sale of shark fins.

“I remember the first time getting back in the water … I remember jumping in the ocean, and it felt glorious,”

Coots recalls in a 2012 interview with The Huffington Post.

To this day, he continues to inspire all those who view his incredible photos…

…and hears the story of that one day…

…seventeen years ago…

When a majestic creature changed his life, forever.

Mike Coots is now a professional photographer whose work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Hawaii Magazine, Discovery Channel and more. See a portfolio of his work here.
