Luann de Lesseps Will Leave Rehab After 3 Weeks for Cabaret Dates Before Outpatient Treatment

Luann de Lessepsstay in rehab won’t be affecting her upcoming Countess and Friends cabaret dates.

The Real Housewives of New York City star announced on Saturday that she would be returning from the alcohol treatment facility after three weeks to take the stage for her acclaimed show next month.

“Thank you so much for all of your support,” de Lesseps, 53, wrote on Instagram, captioning a video of the cabaret. “I wanted you to know I’m doing great and I hope you’ll come and see me. … Looking forward to being back on stage!!!”

De Lesseps is scheduled to take the stage at The Paramount in Long Island, New York, on Aug. 4 and then again at the Music Box Theater at The Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Aug. 24.

After her cabaret, “she will continue her out-patient treatment” before returning to film the next season of the Bravo series, a source close to the star tells PEOPLE.

Says the insider: “Luann feels a lot better. Bravo has been so supportive.”

PEOPLE broke the news exclusively on July 16 that she had returned to rehab for a second time, with costar Bethenny Frankel calling the decision “brave and honest.”

In turn, she missed the taping of the RHONY season 10 reunion.

“This weekend, Luann was surrounded by her girlfriends and decided — with their support — that in light of recent circumstances, it is the healthiest choice for her not to attend Tuesday’s reunion taping so that she can continue in her healing process,” said Frankel, whom de Lesseps authorized to speak on her behalf. “Luann is now surrounded by a core group of people who truly have her best interests at heart and who are working to make sure she gets the help she needs.”

Added the network in a statement: “Bravo supports Luann’s decision to focus on her health. She is part of the Bravo family and we continue to stand by her as she copes with this challenging situation. At this time, we hope everyone will respect her privacy.”

It’s been a tough year for de Lesseps.

The Countess was arrested in the early morning hours of Dec. 24 and released on her own recognizance that same day after allegedly attacking a police officer in Palm Beach, Florida. She recently struck a plea deal in the case, and will avoid jail time.

After her arrest, de Lesseps — who had gotten married to ex-husband Tom D’Agostino in Palm Beach on the previous New Year’s Eve before their divorce seven months later — released a statement, saying, “This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding, and being here brought up long-buried emotions. I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended with my behavior. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”

Prior to her return to rehab, news broke that her first husband, Alexandre de Lesseps, her daughter, Victoria de Lesseps, and son, Noel de Lessepsfiled a lawsuit against her over an $ 8 million house sale. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, she breached a stipulation of settlement in her divorce by failing to create a trust “for the benefit of her two children.”

The source close to mother of two said that lawsuit was a driving factor in her heading to rehab.

“Due to the trauma of being sued by her kids and ex husband, Luann decided to set the reset button and check herself into rehab,” the insider said. “She read about it in the press which was devastating and after that, needed to work on herself and digest everything and be self-reflective.”

“The lawyers are speaking on both sides and Luann is hoping for a speedy resolution because she loves her children very much,” the source added.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.

Lottery Winner with Cancer Dies Three Weeks After Finally Being Able to Afford Doctor

A winning lottery ticket worth a million dollars offered hope to one New York man, but the life-changing event would be short-lived as he lost his life to stage 4 cancer just three weeks later.

Donald Savastano, a self-employed carpenter living in upstate New York, struck it rich when he was driving home from work in early January and stopped at a convenience to purchase lottery tickets. The 51-year-old walked in and bought a Merry Millionaire ticket, and scratched it while on his way back to the car—revealing he had hit the $ 1 million grand prize.

“I couldn’t believe it!” Savastano told the New York Lottery in an announcement of his prize. “I brought it back in and scanned it under the ticket checker and knew it was a winner.”

Savastano decided to take the one-time lump sum payment, totaling $ 661,800 after withholdings. The winnings, he said, would allow him to build for the years to come.

“Being a self-employed carpenter, I didn’t really have a plan for retirement,” he said. “The money will help with that. I don’t have any other extravagant plans. I’ll buy a new truck, pay off some debt and invest for the future.”

One of those plans was finally going to the doctor for a check-up because he hadn’t been feeling well. But the visit resulted in terrifying news: Savastano had stage 4 metastatic cancer.

Danielle Scott, an employee at the store where the ticket was purchased, told ABC 7 that Savastano didn’t have insurance.

“He had a friend come and talk to me,” told ABC 7. “They told me that he was very sick and that he had brain and lung cancer and that he was in the hospital and they didn’t think he was gonna make it.”

Savastano died from the disease on January 26, just 23 days after purchasing his ticket.

“I was hoping that the money was maybe going to save his life,” Scott told the news station.

“He was known for his high-quality work and perfectionism,” the obituary reads. “He always tried to reach out and help those he could by teaching them ‘the right way to do things.’ “

Savastano lived with his girlfriend of 12 years, Julie Wheeler, and helped to raise her two sons. The family is asking for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.

African Fashion Weeks Boost Local Design Talent

South African Fashion Week celebrated its 20th anniversary as the pioneer fashion week in the country. It also marked the end of the long twice-yearly fashion week season in South Africa, which began with South African Menswear Week in July and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg in August, not to mention the 4th Bokeh International Fashion Film Festival in Cape Town in September.
According to Lucilla Booyzen, founder of SAFW, the event throughout the last two decades “has grown into the optimal platform for designers to start, develop and grow their businesses. It is the key voice of fashion in South Africa recognizing the power our diversity holds in this sector, which is one of the most socially inclusive SA industries.”
Since its inception in 1997, SAFW has used the designer competition as a springboard to showcase that individuality and originality in order to identify and nurture new talent as well as to inspire and challenge both emerging and established designers.
This cycle of SAFW — which took place over five days at a new venue, the rooftop of the Sandton City Mall in suburban Johannesburg — opened with the Sunglass Hut New Talent Search competition, which challenged designers to create a collection that would strike a balance

Serena Williams Reveals She’s Back in Her Jean Shorts Just 2 Weeks After Giving Birth

Serena Williams just gave birth to her baby girl two weeks ago, but she’s already back in her short-shorts.

On Saturday, the tennis champion revealed she was back in her jean shorts when she captioned a mirror selfie she posted on Snapchat.

On Sept. 1, Williams, 35, gave birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Alexis was named after her father — and Williams’ fiancé — Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

The couple waited almost two weeks to formally introduce their first child to the world after Williams revealed they had “a lot of complications.”

And now Alexis even has her own Instagram account: @OlympiaOhanian.

So far the newborn (or rather, her parents) has only posted two pictures.

One where she’s snoozing in a yellow onesie as she’s “thinking about mommy and daddy” and a second where she’s wearing a onesie that reads “smart and strong like my mama.”

PEOPLE confirmed Williams’ pregnancy in April after the 35-year-old inadvertently revealed on Snapchat that she was 20 weeks along. Williams and Ohanian, 34, got engaged in December.

Ahead of their daughter’s birth, the couple revealed that they were opting to leave the baby’s sex a surprise, though both shared that they felt they were having a girl.

Williams and Ohanian reportedly began dating in 2015 and got engaged in Dec. 2016.

Head Strong: The Bulletproof Plan to Activate Untapped Brain Energy to Work Smarter and Think Faster-in Just Two Weeks

After Fueling Their Feud For Weeks, Katy Perry Apologizes To Taylor Swift

Offering a mea culpa mere hours after her feud with Taylor Swift seemed to reach a fever pitch, Katy Perry has said “it’s time” to move on. Another one in the casket.

During an interview on HuffPost namesake Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global Podcast, Perry said she is ready to put an end to her three years of bad blood with Swift:

I’m ready to let it go. Absolutely, 100 percent. I forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it’s actually ― I think it’s time.

There are bigger fish to fry, and there are bigger problems in the world. I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like, ‘Yeah, we can do this.’

Maybe I don’t agree with everything she does, and maybe she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but like, I just ― I really, truly, want to come together, and in a place of love and forgiveness, and understanding and compassion.

Perry then belted out a line from “Frozen” anthem “Let It Go” before adding, “There’s a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on. God bless her on her journey. God bless her. Honestly. I want to operate in a positive, kind space. I want to be an example of kindness, compassion, love, and I forgive and forget. That wasn’t easy for me.”

HuffPost reached out to Swift’s representatives for comment, but we did not receive an immediate response. Swift has been relatively quiet during this round of the pop singers’ public disputes, aside from releasing her catalog on Spotify, Tidal and other streaming services on Friday, the same day that Perry’s new album debuted. In the past, Swift had declined to join such platforms because of their chintzy compensation for artists’ work.

In case you need a refresher, this whole fracas dates back to 2014, when Swift said she had co-written the song “Bad Blood” about a onetime friend who “did something so horrible” and “tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” That “horrible” thing involved Swift’s dancers leaving the singer’s roadshow to join Perry’s, per their contract agreements.

After that, Swift and Perry’s flap escalated, with each taking shots at the other in both subtle and direct ways. Two weeks before her new album’s arrival, Perry amplified the situation again during a Carpool Karaoke appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” saying, “Honestly, it’s really like she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it. It’s about backing dancers. There were three backing dancers. I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.”

Legion Stars on Filming This Week’s Wild Reveals

Warning: Full spoilers for the most recent episode of Legion, “Chapter 7,” follow.

This week’s Legion — the penultimate episode of Season 1 — was a crucial episode for the series, as the identity of the show’s main villain was confirmed to be the Shadow King from Marvel comics, while It was made very clear that yes, David Haller’s father is indeed Professor Charles Xavier. Oh sure, Xavier’s name wasn’t said, but all the signs were there if you knew what to look for, starting with a certain wheelchair glimpsed in a flashback and extending into the history lesson David received about the Shadow King and his father.

I was on the set of Legion’s “Chapter 7” and while I didn’t learn everything that would happen ahead of time, I learned quite a bit, and it was clear a lot was going on in this episode. I must confess to being particularly excited when I got to see Xavier’s wheelchair – even though I wasn’t meant to see it! Amusingly, Legion crewmembers unpacked the chair right behind me, as I sat eating lunch, which was a secret I had to hold on to until now. As it turned out, this chair was the one used in X-Men: Apocalypse by James McAvoy, with the Legion producers being given their choice between pretty much every variation from the X-Men film series.

Missing College Student Found Dead in Submerged Car — Weeks After Accidentally Driving into River

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, confirmed this week that missing college student Toni Anderson — who vanished in January after sending a cryptic text to a friend — was found dead in a car that was pulled from the Missouri River last week.

Authorities say Anderson’s car had been submerged for weeks after she accidentally drove into the water soon after going missing early on Jan. 15.

Anderson, 20, left work at the Chrome club in Kansas City just after 4 a.m. that day and was on her way to meet up with a friend. But police say she never made it.

She was pulled over at 4:30 a.m. by a North Kansas City, Missouri, police officer — a separate jurisdiction from Kansas City — for a routine traffic stop for an illegal lane change, which resulted in a warning.

Police said she then stopped for gas, and her mother, Liz Anderson, previously told PEOPLE her daughter’s debit card was declined at 4:33 a.m.

At 4:42 a.m., Toni texted a friend, “OMG just got pulled over again.” It remains unclear if she was referring to the 4:30 traffic stop or a subsequent one. She wasn’t seen alive again.

A police spokeswoman tells PEOPLE detectives have found nothing to suggest foul play factored into Toni’s death. The spokeswoman declined to discuss the case in detail, citing the department’s ongoing investigation.

But mom Liz Anderson says authorities have assured her the college sophomore’s death was accidental — though it seems her daughter tried to escape the water.

“I am relieved that it was nothing more than a tragic accident,” Liz tells PEOPLE.

“There was no foul play; had no broken bones, and there was nothing on her body that would indicate any type of a struggle,” she says. “It is horrible. But they finally found her and now, we have a bit of closure.”

• Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Click here to get breaking crime news, ongoing trial coverage and details of intriguing unsolved cases in the True Crime Newsletter.

Investigators are waiting on autopsy results, which may provide them with additional information about how Toni died, the police spokeswoman says.

Toni’s mother says she probably became confused while driving in the dark that morning — steering her car onto a boat launch and into the frigid water.

Toni’s 2014 Ford Focus had a tracking device that sent out pings every eight or 10 seconds. On the morning of her disappearance, the tracking device sent out its final ping from a gas station not far from where her body was recovered.

“ believe she was confused and was turning around in a park, and that her GPS may have directed her to go the wrong way,” Liz says.

“If you look at the boat ramp she drove off of, it looks like a regular road — especially at night, when it’s dark,” she continues. “The police believe the ramp was icy and that she may have tried to stop but the car went into the water.”

• Pick up PEOPLE’s special edition True Crime Stories: Cases That Shocked America, on sale now, for the latest on Casey Anthony, JonBenét Ramsey and more.

There were signs that Toni tried to get out of her car once it began sinking.

“The police told me that her window was down and that her seat belt was off, so they figure she was trying to get out,” Liz says. “The current of the river was too strong and the cold water rushed in just too quick for her to escape. That’s what the police have determined.”

Toni, whose body has been cremated, will be laid to rest on Tuesday during a funeral scheduled for 11 a.m. inside the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas.

Toni studied marketing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and, in her spare time, reviewed music festivals, according to her family. Her mother has described her as “a beautiful, smart, intelligent, hard-working, kind and loving person.”

“We are all just a mess right now,” Liz tells PEOPLE after confirmation of Toni’s death, “but we are surviving and getting through. We miss her so much.”

5 Things I Learned About My Husband Since His Death 3 Weeks Ago

My life partner of decades passed away three weeks ago. And what I’ve discovered in those difficult weeks is how much I didn’t know about the man I spent the bulk of my adult life with. No, I haven’t discovered that he kept a second family in Ohio or anything along that magnitude. But what I did discover surprised me.

1) He intentionally made turning on a TV in our house harder than it needs to be.

For real. My husband Vic was the master of the remotes. The black one for on/off. Gray one for volume. Blackish-gray one for channel changing. Or at least that’s what I think they do. Throw in a few remotes that used to control a DVR and the little basket that houses them overflows.

Only he knew which remote did what. In a million years of marriage, he never thought it necessary to label them. Nor did I. But it wasn’t until he died that I figured out why: He liked that I needed him ― and I liked it too. When I wanted to watch something on TV, I would have to call him into the room and ask for his help. He’d come in, do it and give me a peck on the cheek or a gentle bop on the head with the remote. It always made me smile.

Being needed ― and appreciated ― is one of the things that keeps a marriage alive. And since my husband’s death, I have learned that we have a universal remote that does it all.

2) His corniness was sweetness just wrapped in different packaging.

Traditionally on the night before my birthday, Vic would wait for me to go to sleep and then scurry around the house stashing little happy birthday notes in strange places for me to discover the next day. He would stick them in my shoes, inside the coffee pot, and even inside the plastic bin we use to store the dogs’ food (that one was signed by the dogs.) One year, he taped a note inside my English Muffin that luckily I spotted before it went into the toaster.

Some years, he concocted an elaborate Note Hunt, using riddles as hints to lead me to the next note. He knew my morning routine precisely and taped the first note to the toilet paper.

Vic never gave me a birthday gift per se ― and I was fine with that. The thought and effort he put into the annual notes was gift enough.

Marriage is a commitment to not just another person, but also to the idea of hanging in there through thick and thin, good and bad. My husband was a big goofy guy, an imperfect teddy bear with an occasional growl.  I got scrawled notes for my birthday instead of little blue Tiffany boxes and I cherish every one of them.

3) He was a better dad than I ever knew.

Sure he went to every practice and game for every team sport either of our kids ever played. And yes, he always drove half the team home, stopping for pizzas or In-N-Out burgers or both. And of course he always carried in his trunk spare shin guards and soccer socks in multiple colors with him ― just in case. When a violin was forgotten at home, he drove it to the music class and kept his promise to “not tell Mommy.” When there was a big test coming up, he was the parent who always stayed up till midnight the night before to quiz the kids.

But he did something else. To the very end, he was blind to their flaws. He loved us all too much to ever see anything wrong. In his eyes, our children were never at fault and I was the wife he was meant to marry. With love as unconditional as his, our kids are strong and solid people. They have experienced losing their Dad to a terrible illness and have emerged as kind, compassionate human beings. Our daughter is changing her college major to nursing.

4) His disorganization had an upside.

Not a hoarder, exactly, but Vic was definitely a pack-rat. And thank God for that. As a result of his inability to throw anything away, I am now basking in the warmth of memories spurred by what I have found in his clothing pockets. Yesterday I came upon a hotel card from a London trip we took at least 10 years ago. I also found our ticket stubs from visiting the Space Needle in Seattle, mixed in with a few old grocery store receipts and long-expired coupons for Subway. In a box in our foyer closet,  I found a car key that went missing last April and the program for our daughter’s 8th grade graduation. She is now a college freshman.

Amid the chaos of our daily lives, I would reach the clutter breaking point and stealthily toss things out when I thought he wasn’t looking. Now, each item I find feels like a cherished gem. I do wonder though why those loose almonds I found in pants he hasn’t worn in years never got moldy.

5) His car trunk could be declared a hazmat site.

My husband’s beat-up old SUV was his man cave. He used it to take the dogs to a muddy park or sandy beach every day. It was also used to transport soccer players with stinky socks and as a storage bin for half-eaten school lunches with the occasional forgotten bag of oranges rolling around until they fully rotted. His trunk was where things went to die.

How did I not know this about his car trunk? Easy. I chose not to look.

Choosing not to look may be a new widow’s best survival mechanism. When you don’t look, you can’t see what’s missing. But since today is my birthday and I had no notes to find, my heart most certainly knows what’s missing, and that it’s him.

Back-to-Back Fashion Weeks in South Africa

And then there were two.
Less than a month before it was scheduled to take place, Africa Fashion Week was abruptly canceled. The event’s owner, African Fashion International, issued a statement confirming that “Africa Fashion Week, scheduled to take place from November 4 to 7, 2015, will no longer take place in its current format. In its place, AFI plans to convene leading stakeholders on the continent to the first Africa Fashion Forum.”
No reason was given for the development, which AFI positioned as “a new strategic direction.” The South African fashion industry was abuzz with speculation. Perhaps it was because Mercedes Benz, which had sponsored previous Africa Fashion Weeks, was no longer a sponsor, although it remained the headline sponsor for AFI’s two other properties, MBFW Johannesburg and MBFW Cape Town, industry officials said. Others believed that with the South African Fashion Week taking place from Oct. 22 to 26, followed immediately by Lagos Fashion and Design Week from Oct. 28 to 31, African designers might have preferred to show at Lagos, which has proven to be a successful platform, attracting a pan-African audience, not to mention more international media and buyers, than Africa Fashion Week.
AFI declined further comment, except to

Men’s Wear Makes Strong Showing at African Fashion Weeks

Mercedes-Benz Cape Town Fashion Week bowed last week, the third fashion week in Africa for the month of July alone. Perhaps indicative of the growing popularity of men’s wear in the African market, MBCTFW opened at its new venue at The Watershed along the V&A Waterfront with a show by Goose Homme Prorsum, a new label from young Cape Town designer Snorley McLarean. Other men’s wear designers who showed strong collections during the three-day event included Ruald Rheeder and Adriaan Kuiters.
According to Sizwe Nzimande, group marketing executive of African Fashion International, which owns MBCTFW, “We always look to provide a platform for up-and-coming designers to enhance and drive their careers in fashion.” Goose Homme Prorsum was, along with XIPIXI, one of the two designers who made their debut in Cape Town.
“I wanted to create a collection that would have people at the edge of their seats, and I think I’ve achieved that,” McLarean said. “I am still in shock that I was asked to be the opening event.”
Using fabric he’d been storing since 2010, including a chain-and-rope scarf print reminiscent of Gucci and Hermès that was tailored into a shirt-and-shorts ensemble, the former architecture student-turned-fashion designer explained that he was

Our Jaws Dropped After Seeing All The Beautiful Looks On This Week’s Best Dressed List

Ladies, take note — this is how you get dressed.

Over the past couple of days, Hollywood has been upping its style game and we are très impressed. Poppy Delevingne wore an unexpected black floral dress that left us awestruck, Kiernan Shipka was her usual adorable self in a pink strapless number and America Ferrera made a strong case for the color red in a show-stopping ensemble.

Check out the best-dressed stars of the week and let us know if you agree with our picks.

America Ferrera

Ferrera is a total bombshell in this tight red dress. Not only does it hug her curves in all the right places, the bold hue really pops against her dark hair and olive complexion.

Nicole Kidman in Armani Privé

Nicole Kidman is a dead ringer for Grace Kelly in this stunning strapless gown. The intricate beading and creamy ivory color are the picture of elegance. Kidman’s black belt and shoes may seem a little heavy for such a delicate dress, but we are willing to look past it as the rest of the ensemble is spot on.

Nicola Peltz in Prada

The “Transformers” star looked statuesque in this iridescent blue column dress with crystal embellishments. Despite the major cut-out on front, the dress is balanced out by the longer hemline and high neck line.

Poppy Delevingne in Vivienne Westwood Gold Label

Every single thing about this outfit is impeccable. The dress is an interesting take on the floral trend; it helps that it looks like it has been expertly draped, as the asymmetrical neckline is hanging off of her body perfectly. Nude pumps were also a great choice with this otherwise busy ensemble, while Delevingne’s pulled back hair really shows off that fierce red lipstick.

Kiernan Shipka in Marni

Cute, fashion-forward, age-appropriate — Shipka’s dress embodies everything she’s known for.

Chrissy Teigen in Elisabetta Franchi

Teigen clearly knows that white and gold is one of the best color combinations out there. Her short, plunging dress is great for the warm weather, while her slicked back hair is an easy way to avoid summer frizz.

Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen

Yes, we may have seen the Duchess in this outfit before, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The military-inspired top and skirt are a nice change from the feminine dresses we normally see her wear.

We Don’t Understand What The Ladies On This Week’s Worst-Dressed List Were Thinking

We’re not quite sure what the stars on this week’s worst-dressed list were thinking. Our roundup is filled with fashion fails that could have definitely been avoided.

For example, Saoirse Ronan forgot to dress her age and actress Maggie Grace wore pajamas on the red carpet. And sadly, we had to bestow the title of worst-dressed star this week to actress Julianne Moore for rocking a dress that she should have never put on her back.

Here’s a look at all our wost-dressed picks of the week. Let us know if you agree.

Saoirse Ronan

saoirse ronan
Why, Saoirse? Why? There is no reason that a beautiful young actress should ever be caught in such an unflattering get-up. She should befriend Emma Watson and raid her closet.

Laura Vandervoort

laura vandervoort
The major problem with this outfit is… everything! From the wet hair, cropped/half-peplum top and that stiff tea-length skirt, Laura would have been better off just staying home.

Regina King

regina king
One word: Ouch! It’s unclear what exactly is holding together the front of Regina’s dress, but they definitely look painful. Furthermore, the capped gown is ill-fitting and does nothing for the actress’ fantastic figure.

Julianne Moore

julianne moore
We hate to include Julianne on our worst-dressed list, but this dress is a fail. The asymmetrical design is awkward, frumpy and a far cry from the fabulous looks we’re used to seeing her in. Those strappy heels were also no-no, too.

Maggie Grace

PSA: Never wear night gowns on the red carpet.

The Stars On This Week’s Worst-Dressed List All Look Super Silly

We couldn’t stop laughing while pulling together our worst-dressed list of the week — there were some pretty silly ensembles on display. But there’s nothing funny about bad style, especially when it comes to some of our favorite style stars like Rita Ora and Chrissy Teigen, who totally miss the mark this week.

And Lily Allen just couldn’t get anything right. From her dipped-dyed ponytail to her tacky technicolor attire, the British songstress was hands down our worst-dressed star. Eek!

Here’s a look at all our wost-dressed picks of the week. Let us know if you agree.

Lily Allen

We suddenly have an urge to play Tic-Tac-Toe, rather than dole out anything close to praise for this over-the-top frock. The loud colors and pattern are super distracting. And what’s going on with that sheer panel at the bottom?

Ellie Goulding

ellie goulding

There’s not much that can redeem this look — it reminds us of an ’80s prom gown. The shimmery pink taffeta and floral embroidered tulle combo is just wrong.

Chrissy Teigen

chrissy teigen

It’s rare we see Chrissy looking anything less than flawless, but this week the supermodel stepped out in what could be considered a pair of baggy Spanx. The flesh-hued hot pants do nothing for her gorgeous gams, and we’re just hoping we never see her in them again.

Lady Gaga

lady gaga

Lady Gaga, or should we say Chief Gaga, might ruffle some feathers in this American Indian-esque getup. While the look could be considered tame for the singer, that doesn’t make it any more appealing. And those shoes are no beuno.

Rita Ora

rita ora

Two words: Cake topper. The bodice of Rita’s dress is beautiful, but the bottom half is a total fail. She is just swimming in tulle!

RZA: Wu-Tang’s ‘A Better Tomorrow’ Album Still ‘Six Weeks Out’

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — RZA sees the latest Wu-Tang Clan endeavor as the end of the influential rap group as we know it.

The 44-year-old Wu-Tang leader and producer says he’s still six weeks or so away from finishing the Clan’s overdue new album “A Better Tomorrow.” The process has made him realize he’s got different priorities these days. “When you’re a young man, you’re hustling and you’ve got 12 hours a day to dedicate to music. It might be more than that,” said the rapper, whose real name is Robert Diggs, in a phone interview. “The energy that’s important is constantly pouring out. But when you’ve got to go seek for the energy, it becomes a little more difficult. Wu-Tang is forever, I’ll never take back that statement. But we haven’t recorded a lot of studio albums. This is the first album we’ve recorded in seven years, actually. And we can’t wait seven years for another album.”

RZA foresees a future where the spirit of the Wu-Tang Clan lives on in the children of the original nine members of the New York-based collective and in the untold scores of rappers, producers and entrepreneurs influenced by the group — folks like Drake, whose “Wu-Tang Forever” drew a lot of attention earlier this year. He’s had trouble wrapping up the collective’s plans in the now, though.

The 20th anniversary of the release of “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers),” the Clan’s still-powerful debut album, came and went last week, and the album meant to celebrate the moment remains a work in progress.

RZA says he traveled around the country gathering material for the album, even stopping over in Memphis, Tenn., where he conducted original recording sessions with players from the revered Stax and Hi record labels. Most of his production is complete, and most of the other members of the group — including GZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Inspectah Deck — completed their versework in two sessions over the summer. He hopes to have it completed in 45 days or so after sending it to a few outside producers for final touches.

One obstacle remains.

“Everybody did their verses except Raekwon,” RZA said. “He hasn’t turned in his verses yet. I don’t know if he’s still trying to find the vibe of the music. We have to talk about it before it becomes too late. But he hasn’t come to the table yet.”

Attempts to reach Raekwon for comment were unsuccessful. RZA says he’s not sure if the project can be completed without his crewmate: “Well, you know what, that’s something that I would take a vote on with the rest of the crew. I’m not a dictator about that. Raekwon is a valuable energy to the Wu-Tang, his voice, his lyrics, his approach. Rae is a master lyricist.”

RZA’s got plenty to do in the meantime. He’s recently finished the screenplay for what he hopes will be his second feature film and he’s acting in the new Fox series “Gang Related,” playing a Los Angeles police officer on a Los Angeles gang unit.

“There are moles inside the police department from the gang culture, that’s the whole trick about the series,” he said. “Who’s going to turn out to be the double agents? Who’s gang-related? Each week it’s getting closer. I don’t know if it’s going to be me or not.”

More and more, he sees acting — not producing — as his 9 to 5.

“I live in a capitalist country so I respect, ‘Cash rules,'” he said. “That might get me on the mic at 50. But I prefer not to be on the mic at 50.”
